2018 Vertical 300 maps
For me map 1 is sufficient as is. No altitude changes over here, but I used the bike in hot and cold(er) conditions and in wet and dry and never felt the urge to change to another mapping (though the maps do feel different). @theluckyone: what made it ' terrific' (compared to the 4RT)?

Verti-no-go
Top notch components have a price. Of course that higher price will influence buying decisions, but buying behaviour tends to be less affected by pricing for hobby and sports stuff. Compare it with the BMW GS range: not really the cheapest offering, but people still buy it.

Verti-no-go
The new model does have the Ice hell / Fajardo replica frame and the linkage from the Fajardo replica. Compared to this years Ice Hell you will not get the Ti header and the lighter rear wheel. But with the 2018 you do get improvements. If I were in the market for a new one I wouldn't hesitate. In the end a Vertigo is the best you can buy

Swingarm removal
Removed the linkage and swingarm for maintenance: All parts could be disassembled without any hassle. I had to modify an allen key to have good access to the allen bolt on the 'triangle' that connects frame, engine and linkage. The only tricky bit is to refit the axle sleeves (red parts in the picture): the frame and fork must be aligned very precisely to make it an easy fit.

Rear wheel spacers
It is a tight fit... The first one relatively easy by holding the opposite side. No tools, but used rubber gloves for a tiny bit more grip.

Honda 2 stroke comeback
From the company that made the NR500 and declared two stroke dead? Nah, don't think big H will ever make a two stroke..

Mix ratio
I have been running 1:200 from new with Motul 800. The engine starts and runs very good. After a few hours of riding I give it a good run in fifth or sixth, resulting in a bit of smoke and a small amount of blow by. The Dutch 2016 trial champ ran 1:200 during a year of competition without any ill effects.

Hot start bog
You are special Might be time for a new spark plug and/or clean the engine by giving it a good run in fifth or sixth.

Muffler cover rubbing
Yep, here it is.. As mentioned I removed a bit of the black plastic. The rubber was replaced with carbon sheet, just visible in the picture

Muffler cover rubbing
Just edited for clarification: the cover was damaging the fuel tank.

Muffler cover rubbing
While cleaning the bike (Combat Ice Hell 250) a few weeks ago I noticed that the black plastic muffler cover was rubbing and damaging the fuel tank. When looking from the back of the bike: bottom left corner of the cover. And to prevent a leaking fuel tank I removed some material from the cover and glued a small piece of rubber (from an old inner tube) to the tank . Just checked and no further damage to the tank, so that's good.

Front mud guard rattle
Ah, now I understand! Will give it a try; thanks again.

Front mud guard rattle
Thanks. Guessing here: the bracket might give some stability to the fork; using rubber spacers could decrease that function. Or is the only function of the bracket to provide mudguard mounting?

Front mud guard rattle
The front mudguard rattle is indeed annoying.. What size / height of spacer did you use?

Oil on shift shaft?
Took delivery of mine (Combat Ice Hell) last week Friday and nothing is leaking (yet)

Swingarm removal
I was wondering about the same thing when I had a close look at the Vertigo (before ordering a shiny new Ice Hell ). Dealer told me that both semi axes had to be removed with a tool that uses the internal thread in the axes.

New vertigo
The steel used for the Ice Hell is different from that use on the Combat. And I was told that because of that Vertigo could reduce material on the headstock for the Ice Hell (and less wall thickness for other steel parts of the frame).

2018 OSSA?
Agree on the first sentence. In the last month I rode a TRS 250RR and a Vertigo combat 250 and still like the overall package of the Ossa most.

Trs Clutch Effort
I noticed on some pics of Raga's bike that he is (or maybe was) using the old AJP clutch master cylinder on the TRS. Could be that he used the AJP only during the first season on the TRS.
