Reckon so. I remember Nick Jefferies early RTL 306 (not 360) getting so hot it took the coating off the barrel in the IOM 2 day. That being said it's probably more neccessary in hotter climates. Ish, what say you?

Just been there. Yup if the head bearings are loose the front does make a clunking noise, as you'd expect it to. I kept doing up the capstan nut which kept loosening. Then I found out why. Fix. Try not to take-off the triple clamp, it can be a cow to get back on without damaging the nut that secures the triple clamp. Do up the capstan nut (underneath the triple clamp) until nice and snug. Then (not forgetting to loosen the grub screw and Cap bolts on the triple clamp) tighten the top nut over the triple clamp until TIGHT but not too tight 'cause it's aluminium and will strip easily. So the top nut acts as a locknut for the capstan nut (and the legbone's connected to the thighbone... ). Some of the 'nuts' I've referred to are pretty odd but you'll figure them out as you see them. 'K, you could try "Classic trials" in Barcelona, they might be able to help. Alternatively, if the worst comes to the worst, scrounge an airbox off a gripper owner and give to a fibre-glass expert to copy. Shouldn't be too difficult.

I kinda half understand it. I'd love to own said Cota and if I did I'd drag it out once or twice a year 'cause I'd be scared to rub the polish off it. But on the other hand I agree that bikes are to be ridden.

Ahh, at last I can be helpful!! Use a oil filter removing device. You know those things that use a strap to lock onto the oil filter so you can undo it? Stupid design though (thinks: must buy a 'Raga' with Ohlins shock...). TFT
