  1. God John, I pale at the prospect of you and WB being in CT at the same time! Could be fun though

    >>Funny, people keep asking me that. "Where you been"? "If you've got nothing to say: say it!" Nice for us outside Wisconsin to know you're still around. Took the trials bike out to an enduro today, ostensibly to sell the sport and was greeted by "why aren't you riding?". Said I was, but on the trials bike. That frightened a few! Good to see some old faces though. >>"I've been pretty quiet. Winter does that to me. I >>hibernate. Perhaps I should move to a warmer >>climate? Good idea, I'll second that! Warm summers. Moderate but wet winters. Temp never goes below 5 Celcius. Stable democracy too <G>. >I've got a '70 Triumph T100C (single carb 500) that >I've had since 1992! It's been apart since then too! >That thing deserves the love. I'm looking to redo it as >a vintage enduro bike/ice racer. It was running when I >took it apart, just a matter of money and motivation to >get it back into some kind of shape again. Mark Evans on Discovery renovated a '71 T120 Bonnie. Worth getting on disc.

    Hey Bents back! Howyadoin Bent?
  4. Can't really blame him. I wouldn't imagine there are too many off-road shops in HK what with land being at a premium. So he's got himself a bit of a sinicure (sp?).

So, from the pics, the last step looks like take the straight line and face a huge step or the slippery right hand line and the easier step. Six days, save the bike and risk the right hand line. Is that right? Good pics Gav.
  6. Hey Stu, what's with the observers funny headgear?
  7. We used to have an Alister McArthur who rode here and yup he was a Scot.
  8. Think it's about 6-9 months from the mates I know that have it done (not trials but enduro injuries).
  9. Manxlass, have you looked at the ATK bike shoe? It doesn't need tie downs. Nifty idea. ATK bike shoe

    Honda Tl125

Richard, if you follow this forum you'll find quite a few Honda enthusiasts. One of the posts has link to a list of all the Honda serial numbers and years produced. Never would have thought it but them little TL125's have become quite a classic.
  11. Brilliant. Just what Raga needs to stop his indoor success.
  12. Buy a new one. Without banana forks though. Greeves

What's the grip like Ish? Looks pretty snotty.
  14. He reckons he's graded expert, but nowt on Bradfords site. Also said he's minded for Dougie when Martin broke his arm. Nonetheless helluva nice guy and rides beautifully. Apparently his aunt's just moved to Cape Town and he'll be spending more time here. We need a kick up the backside to teach us contemporary (read bouncy) techniques.
  15. James rode a club trial here on Sunday. Can anybody tell me more about him?

  17. On reflection you may well be right about the airbox. I've a test of the 330 somewhere I'll see if I can find it and have a look. About a year or so ago a cache of 330's was found, never used, in of all places Havana. Seems that the fire dept bought a brace for firefighting in areas around the city and never used them. Horacio San Martin of Todotrial knows the story and may be able to help you with an airbox 'cause he rides one in twinshocks. About the motor, it's very possible that contempary motors are better but at the time the 330 motor struck me as the best I'd ridden by a long chalk. It's notable that the impression has lasted as long as it has.
  18. That's what they said on Transworld sport Ish. Can't think anybody would want to buy a lame duck unless there's the remote possiblity that they might be able to make some profit. Diversification's the name of the game and you chaps in Scotland ("land o' the brave") have or will have (when the land's picked up by a budding entrepeneur for a steal) a golden opportunity. BTW ta for the link Andy.
  19. I hate when coffee spays out of my nose and over my keyboard . At least it'll keep the piste cats off the slopes.
  20. Airbox on the 330 is the same as the 348 & 349. Buy the one on ebay. Never rode the 330 but I did ride the 335 which had the same motor as the 330 but with monshock rear suspension. That motor has stuck in my mind for 15 or so years as probably the best motor I have ever enjoyed. It's absolutely brilliant. Smooth with oodles of plonk.

Apparently Brit bike did come with the sprocket integral to the hub, I was told this by a trials riding Brit bike fan, I was suprised too. Common practice was to machine off the old sprocket and modify the hub to accomodate a replaceable spocket.
  22. Donning my flamesuit! I was watching Transworld sport yesterday and it seems that global warming is likely to close some ski resorts situated at lower altitudes, indeed two resorts in Scotland are up for sale. So will we benefit from these closures? Ski resorts usually make for really good terrain and there's not much else you can do with them except declare them nature reserves.
  23. Dougie is now the official inheritor of the "Carl Fogerty" hairy eyeball award.
  24. Them goggles have been around the block a few times. Maybe he should try washing them inside out so he doesn't get little baubles on the strap!
  25. Q: Why's a Landrover like your mother-in-law? A: Because it's always sick but never dead.
