Good to see a "colonial" giving the WC a bash. About time. We've won title in road racing (Gardner, Doohan, Ballington, Corser, Bayliss, Redmond, Rainey, Lawson), MX (Albertyn, King, Reed, Langston, Parker, La Porte, Lackey, Schmidt) and Enduros (Watts and Merriman) why not (with the exception of Schrieber) trials?

Grrrrr. Tiger Woods is the Anna Kournikova (sp?) of golf. No majors for two years (I'm open to correction) but still no 1 in the world rankings.
Dougie's a class act who's staring at the slippery downhill, Woods (and Kournikova) are hyped out of all proportion.

Umm, interesting problem. I agree that riding under heavy tree cover can lead to choking on exhaust fumes. I'm not sure whether any face masks will help. I suppose you could try and find a bulletin board for dispatch riders, either motorbikes or bicycles, for help.

Nah seriously, there's an off-road park at Melkbos, opposite the Nuke power station who wants us to put up some trials sections. The place is as flat as a pancake so they'll have to be artificial. Nice sandy enduro tracks though.

Sometime ago someone other than Ishy and Wayne posted some pictures of their arena sections (may have been on that "other" bulletin board). I remember him saying something about flagging down a passing dump truck filled with boulders and asking if he could have them. Anybody remember who it was?

Good question, I know that when Burgat signed for Fantic (about 20 yrs ago) it was rumoured to be for a six figure sum.
Boofont, don't forget that Dougies a canny property developer on the Island, how much is from trials I haven't the foggiest.

You might find a company near you that will do it for you. I was surprised to find such a company about 18 months ago. Cheap too.

Suspension looks fine to me.

To all who are interested, shock was rebuilt by a local guy who did a cracking job. Cost was R900.00 or GBP75.00.
