  1. There is a "mark" visible (coming from the manufacturing process in a two-part mould) at "3 o'clock" position on the Renthal Grip. When he turn the throttle, this mark disappears behind his fingers. Therefore, for me it looks like something about 90° for full throttle. That would be exactly the same, I have with the white grip on my 2012 Raga (2,2°/mm at 44 mm total stroke). Would be interesting to know, if these "extra rings" are able to provide a kind of progessive (or better degressive) throttle opening curve (e.g. an elliptical ring/piece). Canario
  2. This would explain a lot to me. I saw Franzi with his new Gold this year the first time at the first Race for the german Championship in Neunkirchen. It was amazing to hear how fast the engine picked up the revs and I wondered what the trick (one of the tricks) could be. Canario
  3. With the given space (radius) in the throttle housing, it is difficult for me to imagine how to make this work. I am surely will ask Jens, when I see him next time, but I can imagine that this is already a topic in my local club. Canario
  4. A lot of the young german riders have these custom covers with own logo or an arrow showing which direction is "Vollgas" (full throttle). These parts are obviously manufactured as 3D-Print parts. Canario
  5. This was in 2009. What are your weighing results today? Canario
  6. The german Trials magazin "Trialsport" did test and weigh them: -> Link Canario
  7. Interesting idea, that makes sense. I have always considered the guard as protection of the exhaust header, not vice versa. ? Canario
  8. Good news from GasGas: They plan to build moto-cross bikes and start in the MX-GP. Glenn Coldenhoff will change to GasGas as well as Taddy Blazusiak and Laia Sanz. Canario
  9. Here the news in english: -> Link Should be good news for GasGas entirely, but I guess with view on well established TRS, Vertigo, Beta, for the trials division it will be a long way back.
  10. I understand your point, but I try to see it from Jeronis point of view. The doping test took place a year ago on 16 september 2018 in Arco di Trento. The analytical finding was notified to the rider on 23 January 2019. FIM let him ride the whole season(s). So it took a year to come to a decision, that's not the fault of the rider.
  11. He lost all points from 16 september 2018 to 16 september 2019. I would say, that is punishment enough.
  12. With yesterdays GP he is now on place 13.

    250 or 300

What do you guys think about the following procedure? Buy a 300 ccm bike and if you feel that it really has to much power, just mount a 250 ccm cylinder-/piston kit.
  14. Does someone know the diameter and needed length of the rivets? Thanks!
  15. With my 2013 GasGas I would have to dismantle/split the engine in such a case?
  16. My preference: 90 seconds time limit and stopping/riding backwards allowed. Was so easy last saturday in Heiligenstadt (Germany) with Busto and the Peace brothers.
  17. Hmm, interesting point: The top 5 are minimum 32 years old.
  18. X Light: 5340 grams X11: 5870 grams
  19. That makes sense. In Zelhem (Nederland GP) most of the top riders had the X11 mounted.
  20. At first I am looking behind the obstacle, then I concentrate on getting the frontwheel placed in the top third of the log and then I am looking further forward. My problem is the timing/coordination of throttle, unweighing and clutch. It should be possible to practice it without the bike but I didn't get it managed right.
  21. That's exactly what I am doing wrong also (my guess). It is so difficult to find the right timing (or better coordination) of throttle, unweighing and clutch.
  22. Here is what Pat is saying about this issue: -> Link
  23. Yes, always nice to watch Pat, the 11 times US-Champion.
  24. A conventional kick-starter is fine as long it is on the correct side of the bike. ?
  25. Here is a sample on how the riders react, when the observer judges very exactly:
