Bad news that M&S, just a few days ago the EU lets exports go and the moving of animals is lifted now this, bloody goverment needs shooting after this one. This is a disaster for farmers, bet things get right tight for them now and anyone involved with livestock etc, hope this is the last one we see for a long time.
Expect we'll see abit more of a clamp down in the near future as this case was a fair way from the Labs,

Ah bugger................your right..............sorry John, maybe it is time to end the World record attempt, that Xispa thread will take some beating anyway as ive run out of things to post on the Caby now and I'm only waffling and padding last few pages. Its been a great journey though, few problems to start with but all seems to be coming together nicely now, just think though............if I had bought a Gasser the thread might have been 30 pages or more.
Thanks Mark, I'll pm you tonight about the bearing mate
-
Ben, you wont need many of the application pages for trials (medical stuff etc) fill in what you can and take it to the Trial, you need to find the club secretary to sign and stamp it. Might be worth giving the club a phone call before the event to let them know your bringing it in as most people are abit busy just before the Trial.
Pretty much all the riders will be more then happy to point you in the right direction if youve got any questions, they're a good bunch Trials folk, if you blag a ride on a bike for christ sakes dont chuck it though
-
Nice mod Cope when we gonna see them on Ebay then?
-
I had a go on one a while back, quite liked it,didnt feel too heavy and alot smaller than the Mont, I didnt ride the previous model though and from what i have been told this one is well savage compared to the earlier bike and no hot/cold starting problems either
-
Ben, print off the licence application form on the ACU site, take it to the trial, join the club and they will send it onto the ACU for your licence. You have to join a club to be able to get the licence and the club has to send it on so worth doing when you go to watch.
You dont need different tyres although there are various makes, stay clear of Mitas I think they are called, Mich/Dunlop and IRC are the most common used.

Got to say I have been well impressed with the Keihin on the Caby, weeps abit but nothing to worry about and starts up at any angle unlike the Tsunami err Mikuni
-
-
gk, nice shout not that far either, great place Ben and if you join up you can ride whenever you like
-
Hi Ben, the link below is for the ACU, it shows all the centres and clubs around you with contact details, some have their own web sites as well.
Good Luck

Legend, go and stick ya name on an 08 Scorpa mate(Rev3's out of the running now) along with some new kit, yer you'll get some stick to start with but imagine what you could do on a new bike and boots with no holes in them Cracking ride mate, lots of the Mid Centre Trials are like today
Highlight of the day for me was Dans first ride on section 7, particulary awkward 180 degree turn on a steep loose bank..............plenty of ninties style riding to get it turned for the first clean of the day
-
Big thank you to the Evesham Club/Observers and helpers for putting on great Trial at the Grove (Round of the Midland Centre group Champ) . 3 laps of 14 sections in a small venue, all cleanable but quite tricky in places and easy to mount up quite a lot of fives if you weren

Atom, those are Bark Busters on the bars, usually used in Enduro/Hare and hounds, looks like the usual plastic dirt covers have been taken off though. I had a set when I started enduro but had heard stories such as hands come of bars in a crash or jump, go through the bars and bark busters and break your wrists or arms, personally I wouldnt dare try a set of those on a trials bike the amount of times i go over the bars or crash. Yes they are to protect your knuckles on the tree sections but i would rather scuffed knuckles than busted arms
Nice pics Cope

Jon, not familair with the 00 sherco but the carb should be easy enough to take off. Takes the tank off and remove the 2 bolts holding the air box on. Unscrew the jubilee clip holding the carb to the reed block and take off the carb slide. If the 00 is like the 06/07 the air box/carb should slide out together? Takes the carb off the air box and take the float bowl off...is there any fuel in it? be worth giving the carb a little shake or bike itself encase the floats have locked/stuck it might free them and save taking the carb off. If no go, take the carb off and float bowl and test the fuel flow buy re connecting to the tank line, you should be able to see fuel flow by moving the floats up and down. Possibly the fuel needle has stuck in place stopping the flow but a little rare. Whilst the carb is off you may as well give it a good clean, spray with carby cleaner once the jets are out and spray opposite to fuel flow where you can and blow out same way with an air line as well as the jets.
Plug seems a good colour, so it was running right before the no start, good luck
-
gti, first, what petrol mix you put in it? if its your first bike make sure its right before starting it. Knock the fuel tap off and take the plug out, kick the bike over a few times to clear any excess fuel from the engine. Before putting the plug back in make sure its got a spark, if not its electrical rather than fuel. Stick the plug back in,turn the fuel on and give the float bowl a couple of taps encase the floats have stuck on the journey down. I usually put the bike in second gear, rock it back and fore in gear so it sucks some fuel, put back in neutral and with the choke on give it a good kick. It might not go first time but should after a 2-4.
The clutch on many bikes stick from cold and usually release within a couple of yards or so, be ready for it though so make sure your not pointing towards anything that will stop you once clicked into gear. Bike will be fine for the rest of the day once the clutch is hot....its nothing to worry about.
