Hi Liam, Your in a very good area to start up Trials again, take a look at the Manchester17 and Macclesfield sites, always run loads of really good events for all abilities. Hawks Nest isnt to far from you either probably 30-40 mins just before Buxton should be a map on the Man17 web site, and I'm pretty sure there are a few other places to ride up your way legally.

Dad, you do more maintenance on Ralphs bike than he does his bike is under some considerable load with him on it so getting the carburation right is essential

Dan, Ralphs bike is in my workshop at the moment so I will have a look for you tomorrow, not much point in asking him direct he would just say "What the F***s a fuel screw"

Dan, Ralph has a VHST but on a 270, he loves it, jetting works well with 110 and 37 but the carb must be kept nice and clean or you'll have running problems, the Boyesens work really well on the Beta and with the VHST. Ive never had to re jet after sticking in Boyesens although they do say it might be needed.

The sherco I had last year seemed to run ok on anything, no difference at all with Avgas so didnt bother, I think the 315 likes good fuel though, the 4rt will run on anything that is liquid

Use super unleaded only 100% and 70mls of TTS in 5 litres of fuel, it might also be possible the knocking is actually lack of fuel especially if it happens up hills or whilst doing wheelies, if the high octane doesnt make any difference (still keep using it though) the carb might be running out of fuel whilst pointing up hill etc, there is a float extension for the Rev 3 which holds more fuel in the bowl or your float height may be set wrong. Could always get a 4rt and forget about all those carb problems altogether though

Always tried to run the Beta on 50% Avgas and 50% super unleaded they love high octane fuel

No mate not changed the screen res or monitor and can only see the cursor nothing else so cant even get into the control panel to change anything etc, I did download executive membership to Dirty Sandras Big Jugs and Dogging locations .co.uk last night, could that have owt to do with anything?????? Boring topic I,m afraid, got a problem with my computer, when I switch it on the start up begins ok and the login screen appears fine, once I press login user as usual all I get is a blank blue screen? curser is there but no icons etc so cant do anything????? Try a higher octane fuel first 98/99 that may cure it straightaway or add some octane booster to the mix, knocking is sometimes just pre ignition in the cylinder

Move the allen head adjusters that hold the cams in place, should be 2 holes for them to slot into

I dropped my oil last week and it had been in there about 3 months, as Perce said it was totally clean and I was a bit gutted I had undone the bolt seems pretty cheap if it lasts so long and hadnt noticed any change in the clutch action before, just thought it was time to drop it out.

I think most who want non stop are mainly riding the easy or clubman route where hopping and stopping are pretty much not needed anyway. Most hard route sections especially down here have to be tight and allow for stopping/hopping else there wouldnt be much to make the sections hard enough on alot of ground, and the current rules get easily broke at any trial around here. Let the easy and clubman route go non stop and let the hard route hop/stop and bounce, surely thats the answer to please most, I enjoy hopping and stopping to line up,not brilliant at it but I like riding sections like that. Strict non stop on the hard route down here equals mega big sections with big run ups and Geoff Capes moments, I would much prefer going up a 4 foot step with a 4 foot run up than an 6 footer with 20 feet run up.
