As BigJohn said more than likely the plug cap, Dads did the same and
-
doesnt take much of a lump of dirt to let fuel pass the needle valve, I would take it off again, blow the passage through with an air line and clean the needle again.
-
The floats may simply be sticking, give the float bowl a few taps with your fingers and they may re-lease, if not drop the bowl off and make sure they are moving ok, it could also be **** on the fuel shutoff needle or its badly worn and letting fuel past.

Benj, dont think you can do this online yet, fill out the form which you can download, join a club and send the form to the club secretary. He/She will sign the form and send it to the ACU direct, should take 10 ish days to get it back and make sure there arnt any small children or pets under the letter box when the book arrives

The question is:
What Do Retired People Do All Day?
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop.
We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?'
He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi *******, he glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tyres.
So my wife called him a ****-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.
Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

Tom, there are quite a few clubs local to you, go to the ACU web site and they are all listed in the Midland Centre section. Stratford upon Avon,Dudley,Leamington Victory, Bewdley etc. All these clubs have multi route trials to suit all riders Novice to Expert. Not sure of any practice areas your way but there are a couple east of Cheltenham off the A40, Earl Shilton MCC hold lots of Trials and have their own land which you can ride if you join up which is based between Leicester and Coventry either side of the M69

How do you know its over heating? is it blowing water out of the rad? check your coolant level first and colour of your plug, if its white the bike is running to lean and needs re-jetting. I doubt its got anything to do with the exhaust packing.

Just had this one when I got back today, think I'm going to pass on all the other guys details to the first guy and let them sort it out between them
Compliments of the Day ,
Dear ,
Please accept my sincere apologises if my email does not meet your business or personal ethics. I will first introduce myself as Mr Strasford Bexters an auditor with a bank in United Kingdom. One of our accounts, with holding balance of 15,000 000.00 GBP(Fifteen Million pounds Sterling) has been dormant and last operated many years ago. Nobody has done anything as regards the claiming of this money, because the account owner has no family member or friends that has any knowledge as to the existence of either the account or the funds; I have decided to find a reliable foreign partner to deal with. My proposition to you, is to seek your consent to present you as the Next of kin and beneficiary of this late client, that the proceeds of this account valued a huge sum shall be paid to you, and then we can share the amount on a mutually agreed percentage
This transaction is totally free of risk and troubles as the fund is legitimate and does not originate from drug, money laundery, terrorism or any other illegal act.The funds will be released to you after necessary processes have been followed. We share the proceeds 60/40. I would have gone ahead to ask the funds be released to me, but that would have drawn a straight line to me and my involvement in claiming the deposit. But on the other hand, you with the same very name as the depositor's would easily pass as the beneficiary with right to claim. I assure you that I could have the deposit released to you within few days. I am aware of the consequences of this proposal. I ask that if you find no interest in this project that you should discard this mail. I ask that you do not be vindictive and destructive. If my offer is of no appeal to you, delete this message and forget I ever contacted you. Do not destroy my career because you do not approve of my
proposal. You may not know this but people like myself who have made tidy sums out of comparable situations run the whole private banking sector. I am not a criminal and what I do, I do not find against good conscience, this may be hard for you to understand, but the dynamics of my industry dictates that I make this move. Such opportunities only come ones in a lifetime. I cannot let this chance pass me by, for once, I have found myself in total control of my destiny. These chances won't pass me by. I ask that you do not destroy my chance, if you will not work with me let me know and let me move on with my life but do not destroy me. I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of this mail private and respect the integrity of the information you come by as a result of this mail.
There is a reward for this project and it is a task well worth undertaking. I have evaluated the risks and the only risk I have here is from you refusing to work with me. I am the only one who knows of this situation, good fortune has blessed you with a name that has planted you into the center of relevance in my life. Lets share the blessing. If you find yourself able to work with me, contact me immediqtely . If you give me positive signals, I will initiate this process towards a conclusion. I send you this mail not without a measure of fear as to what the consequences, but I know within me that nothing ventured is nothing gained and that success and riches never come easy or on a platter of gold. This is the one truth I have learned from my private banking clients. Do not betray my confidence. If we can be of one accord, we should plan a meeting, soon. Alternatively, you can write me back with my private email address (strasfordbexters@myway.com).
Mr Strasford Bexters .

As Daggs says "nothing puts a smile on my face like the 4rt" I feel like that every time i fire it up, no bike so far has felt like the 4rt for fun. Struggled with grip for the first 6-7 months on it,was absolutley appalling on it the first 2 months in the wet but got the hang of it now, I think alot of people give up with the Mont without giving it a good go, they do grip and grip loads once you learn how to ride it. I cant see me ever changing it to be honest, no mechanical problems at all, rides exactly the same whatever conditons and weather and next to no maintenance needed compared to a 2 stroke.
The 4rt is big and heavier than the other bikes but Iam sure this is why it feels so stable, the suspension is in another league to anything else and I can actually hop the Mont about better than any 2 stroke ive ever had.
-
Doubt its the black box to be honest, they either work or dont in my experience never seem to slightly work only. More likely water in the fuel (tank/carb) or even in the stator area. Dump the fuel out of the tank and flush it through, same with the carb and pipes and take the stator cover off and let it dry out.
Could also be water in one of the connector blocks or the kill switch playing up, make sure you dry the electrics out and disconnect the kill switch to check it isnt that.
-
Mark, I,ll buy you ten and a new van mate might be a long wait though

Just been emailed this little gem, tempted to play the guy along as much and as far as possible, anyone got any suggestions?

Dear my worthy fellow,
I am Richard Duke, a Legal practitioner based in London, United Kingdom and the personal Attorney to Late Mr. Roland Lake who was formerly a private investor/ realtor with the Frank Howard Allen Realtors before his death, hereinafter shall be referred to as my client.
On the 31st of January 2000, my client and his wife along with their two children were among the victims of Boeing 737 Airliner crash. You can read more about the crash by visiting this website:
http://archives.cnn.com/2000/US/02/01/alaska.airlines.list/
Since then, I have made several enquiries from the embassy to locate his next of kin or any of his extended relatives, but all to no avail. My client made a deposit in a Bank at London valued presently at US$10,500,000.00 (Ten Million and Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) and the bank has issued me an official notification to appoint the next of kin or beneficiary who will benefit this funds, otherwise the account will be confiscated within the next thirty(30) working days.
Since I have been unsuccessful to locate any of my late client's relatives for over three (2) years now, I seek your consent to permit me present you as the next of kin/ beneficiary of my late client

Forgot about the idle speed bingo, it must be high 1850 or above I remember and you must have a little play in the throttle else the engine thinks it getting revs, usually take the slack up on a 2 stroke but it must be free a few mil on the Mont
-
On here defo make sure you put up good pics, the price and your location, will save lots of calls from people needing that info
-
Good point Mike, plugs are always black and look dodgy, if it came out a 2 stroke it would go straight in the bin and time for a jet change. Had my 07 4rt nearly a year now, bought it second hand and it was well ridden when I had it (SSDT etc etc) its never missed a beat and I ve put it through some rough old riding. Only swapped one plug in the past year and that was from a touch of the throttle on warm up, had this plug in for 9 months now
-
you dont need the fire guard with the Jitsie filters Stu might be that after all then
-
When you say always let it warm up till the fan kicks in, do you mean you dont touch the throttle or just dont ride off? when you start the bike dont touch the throttle and dont touch it untill the fan kicks in, the odd tweek will in most cases foul the plug.
I ve never used the standard filter only the Jitsie ones so worth trying but I doubt its that, make sure you use good fuel all the time
