    08 Rev 3

Well done beta, at last the Mikuni will be put in its rightfull place in a dark and damp museum where it belongs, some Betas run fine with it but many dont, this swap is well over due and i think the pwk28 will transform the Rev3 as the Dellorto does. Great bikes but let down by a nasty carb you have mod yourself to make the bike run ok. I very nearly fitted a pipe from the overflow back into the petrol tank as I could swear it spilt more than ever went in. Hope the pics of the 08 are out soon online, should be a really good bike now out of the crate
  3. Ah!!! thanks Bikespace, and Andy
  4. Hope you get better as soon as possible Stump Magnet, as you said a very rare off and we may never hear of anything like it again for years or ever. Dont let it put you off though in anyway, Barry did well after his accident and is still doing stuff he shouldnt, good luck with the Chamionship and Expert status this year. As people have said, this highlights why you should never ride unless you are with somebody and wear a helmet, could have been alot worse and well done to the lads who acted as they did
  5. Heath, where the f*** did you find the link to that on here????? I looked everywhere for it the other day?
  6. You dont win that amount of WTC trials and World titles without something very, very special inside you, on recent form it looks a tough one but if anyone can pull it off Dougie can, what a fitting end to such a fabulous career in WTC. One last big push Dougie, and I am hoping the conditions will suit him at Hawkstone. Whilst Raga and Bou are moaning about how wet their pants are Dougie will be cleaning the sections spurred on by the British fans. Come on Dougie enjoy the day and atmosphere
  7. "**** ME ATOM" - "230K in Tax" You a plumber or summit?
  8. Hi John, "Toms Farm" is it still going then? thats a very dark place isnt it!!! theres Earl Shilton club where you can join and ride whenever you want, not too far from brum. Top Farm near Evesham, pm Scorpa3 on here for details, couple of places near Cheltenham not too far off the M5, sure a few on here might be able to help with other venues near to you. Good luck with the bike, go and have a look at a trial asap and have a chat with the riders, they will point you in the right direction, its a great sport that I have come back to after years of trying others. Get to know a few people from events and you will be hooked, you make the sport what you want of it, our lot compete regulary and have a great laugh week in week out, could never say that about any of the others Ive had a go at.
  9. Christ Spud, that section is Heaths worst nightmare he'd lose his tan by the end cards for sure
  10. Mates back door, about 10 foot higher than the river yesterday
  11. One of my mates garden sheds, quite close to the river, at least 4 foot high and everything in them is scrap.
  12. This pic is of the road out of the Mill,
  13. Was going to meet up with GIZZA5,Atomant,The Legend and Neil Jones over at the Yennards tomorrow for a ride but the floods have made it impossible for me to get out easily went to work this morning at 9.00 and the road was pretty high then into the Mill, picked some timber up and left 15 minutes later but the water had risen so much I nearly had to leave the Van there. Got some pics of the Mill entrance and exit below along with one of the houses there which i used to live in 8 years ago, the water level has risen at least 7 foot from this time yesterday and about 4 foot of it in the past 5 hours. My wife left to go shopping this morning in nearby Witney and it took her a 50 odd mile detor and three hours to get back home with the water levels still rising. Luckily we are on a hill so the water will have to rise about 80 foot before it floods us but my heart goes out to the thousands of people flooded out today. Couple of mates have at least 2 foot in the downstairs and looks like I will be helping bale out tomorrow rather than on me bike. Nearby Charlbury has had both its bridges washed away and the main bridge into witney is on its way so the news says. Sorry Gizza, looking like I will be a no show tomorrow mate, water is at least 4 foot high across the road out of here. Pic below is from the railway bridge looking along the road out of the village, the wall on the right is at least 4 foot high and the entrance to the mill must be under 5 foot of water now. I drove along here this morning when it was about a foot high or so.
  14. Is there a list on TC of all the TC advertisers? cant find one anywhere
  15. Rung Ralph this morning before he set off and he said the weather wasnt too bad but showers/rain expected in the sfternoon. Got his van stuck going into the field last night but had it pushed into place by the lads. Everyone was really looking forward to the days riding and Ralph especially, this Trial is like Christmas and his summer hols to him and he didnt care if it tipped it down all weekend. Hope everything went well today and everyone enjoyed it
  16. Something Ralph has just realised he didnt have on the check list "Swimming Trunks" so Boyd hes just told me he'll be goin Bare back in ya hot tub and hes going to see how many tumble turns he can do in half an hour Dad reported from Parc Ferme that its thunder and lightening and p****** down, hope it clears up for the morning lads
  17. Good luck to everyone riding (especially our lot) - helpers/club and observers, hope you all have a great time and the weather doesnt spoil things too much. Ralphs really excited as ever and has drawn out 600 quid in tenners Boyd for the Titty Bar Hope to make it next year but sometimes there is stuff even more important than trials, only sometimes though Billy

    06 Beta Airbox

I had one like that, if you can get enough room between the air box and brace cut the bolt off to release the brace. In the end I took the brass insert out and replaced it with an ordinary nut held in place with Aralidite, it causes less damage taking it out if you heat the area up with a heat gun, never had any problems with it after that. Change all the other bolts for high quality ones straightaway and make sure you use a really good fitting allen keys when you undo them.
  20. Thats a ******* cracking reply Ralph I asked for that I dont carry all that but most of it, erm well you do actually as I stuff it in your ruck sack whilst your signing on just got drinks and Mars Bars in my bag. If you ride like me, you need spares
  21. I hate carrying loads of stuff around with me but if you aint got it you will bust it, when you walk the section drop the bum bag off at the end cards and pick it up on the way through. Front tube Levers Dog turds etc Gear lever Rear brake lever Clutch/front brake lever Throttle cable Throttle cap and wheel (Thanks Gizza5 for that one) Spare set of gloves Fuel bottle Smallest tools you can find to take the carb off/air box,rear/front wheel, levers, throttle, gear lever etc Couple of dry rags Spare plug Plug spanner Fan wire connector encase the switch fails Front and rear pads Split links Pliers Chain tensioner, spring A handful of the most common bolts/nuts on the bike encase you rattle one out Maybe over the top but should get you out of most problems if you get any at all, if your carrying anything sharp like the pliers and especially the dog turd tool, stick the end in a cork firmly and tape it up. If you can make sure you
  22. You should be able to tune the worst of the popping out by turning the mixture screw, warm the bike up and turn at 1/8th at a time untill it gets better. Take a look at your plug colour as well to see if its running to lean
