  2. Mark, when me and Doogle first saw that step before you came I said to him who the **** is that for????????? its a definate 150% comitment section - 149% or less wont get you up. Ralph, we all know The Goat will be first down it, gravity will make sure of that
  3. Met up with GIZZA5, Doogle and BetaJones on TC at the Earl Shilton Trials ground today . All had a really good days riding and the weather was kind for change. I rode at the Yennards for the first time about 2 months ago and was well impressed how the club is run and the venue. I didn

  7. The full Factory REV3 went well today, sounded lovely and mega power Its got three gears really? We also had an ex Lampkin Repsol with more bling than Kayne West, (who ever that is?) bit loud though? and didn
  8. Paint shop pro has a background remover, easy enough to do with good results, you can then import the image of your daughter onto another background (paste as new layer etc)
  9. Apart from the problems the aerodynamics cause for following cars causing overtaking problems I can remember Stirling Moss saying a few years back that the lack of overtaking is mainly down to the sport being so safe now. I used to think he was a bit of a **** saying that but have in recent years changed my mind. The cars are so advanced and full of computers they can virtually chuck it into a bend no matter what speed and the computer/traction control will sort it out, the element of fear is lacking unlike bike racing which is my favourite TV sport. The tracks are mega safe as well so the sport has lost that element of dare I brake too late here,or overtake in this place. Race times are really close these days from pole to last man, mainly due to these factors, and also a GP lasts 3 times as long as a MotoGP or Superbike race so the field will get spread out more. Give them 2 races in the day and 20 laps only and i bet the sport would change overnight for the better

  11. 68 year old Miguel DuHamel will be riding Toni Elias Honda at this years American MotoGP (Laguna Seca), he knows that track like the back of his hand and I really hope he gets it on the podium Good luck Miguel
  12. Fair points Neon, yer hes got one of the best cars on the grid and teams but you still have to drive the thing bloody quick to win races and championships. Its no surprise that he would get a load of points and results this season but no-one but no-one could have predicted what he has done so far. Youve got the world champ being tonked in the same car, kimi and Massa cant even touch him and its his first season and first time at some of the tracks, thats whats so impressive about him. Not sure if you watched qually today but it was pretty obvoius he wasnt in the fastest car or maybe best set up in 1 and 2 but pulled it out the bag on the last run. He conducts himself like hes an old pro in the sport and pressure just doesnt seem to fase him, all the pressure is on the other three, if Lewis doesnt finish another race all year hes done more than enough already.
  13. Used to be a biggish fan of Formula 1 but haven
  14. Sounds like a well dirty carb that, could be dodgy fuel in the system as well if it has been stood for a while. Is it likely the previous owner re jetted the bike or messed the carb settings up???? I would drain the fuel tank and wash out, stick a new air filter in and clean the air box, check for any splits or holes in the boot and give the carb a really good clean out with an air line and carb cleaner.
  15. Its the one with the 7 mile queue of Vauxhall Corsa's
  16. I did a Trial there last month, good place, biggish grass banks, streams, some rocks in them and hard bottom and usually slippy exits and descents. Going by the weather this week it will be slippy and muddy there but i am sure it will be set accordingly
  17. Must have missed that pic of Dabs during the mags brief journey from my letter box to the bin
  18. Bit short notice mate but please let us know when the next one is and you should get 7-10 southerners wobbling about the place for the day.
  19. Big thank you to all at the Man17 Club for the Trial today and all the helpers/observers Weather was alot better than forecast and only lashed it down briefly mid afternoon, usual great sections all round, lots of streams and rock outcrops, some very, very slippy as well. Nearly a 30 mile loop of 40 sections and plenty of time allowed to get finished, we actually came in 90 mins early for a change Four of us braved the journey up and the weather (ralph,James and Jon) and really enjoyed the day and the Trial, I rode like a cock for some reason? and seemed to go clean on sections the top clubmen riders struggled with, then three'd or fived the easy sections? Ran out of petrol twice looks like i will have to invest in a fuel bottle for the next road trial. Thanks to James for emptying some of his fuel into my bike at section 21 and thanks to the Mont rider who pushed me back a mile or so to the Paddock Pretty sure Ralph got the best score out of us, but as he said he had abit of a slack day here and there as well. Had a brief chat with Pete Hallam (Eiger on TC) who was only on 2 halfway round? he's done it again!!!!! you must have been well up there Pete if you kept that sort of score for the rest of the Trial, how did your lad do? Kev Hipwell seemed to be going well along with John Hulme, must have been close between those three at the end. Richard Allen was on our route but didnt manage to ask him what he ended the day on, bet it was very low though. Many thanks again Man 17
  20. Just got in from a trial and have seen Patricks result from today he must be absolutley over the moon, brillaint ride and to think hes not even used to the Championship yet, hope somebody can get him the funding now to keep him going in the remaining rounds and next year. Are we going to see a US World Champ in the next few years?
  21. Great race, and well done Vally. Looked like Stoner had no reply and took a safe second, Hopper was the second best ride of the day IMO did brilliant to hang on as long as he did. Hope Toseland can get Tony's ride later next month, be great to see what he can do on a competetive MotoGP bike.
  22. Hi Dennis link below is for the clubs near to you, think you will be in the south Midland Centre. ACU Have a look on the TC home page for events coming up or buy a Trials and Motorcross news form the local newsagents, most trials are listed in the back. Go and have a look at an event and have a chat with a few of the guys and gals there, everyone will be helpfull and willing to give advise. I would take a look at a 98-99 Gasser 250 if thats the money youve got, pretty bullet proof bikes, nice and small and easy to ride. Should be able to get a really good one for 1K, Beta Techno's are also good and you may even pick an early rev3 for around that as well. Make sure the rear suspension linkages/bearings are in good shape on the gassers and no nasty noises or starting problems from any bike. Worth having a look at the water in the rads and ask how much maintenance has been done from the owner. You should get an instant idea if theyve been looked after or not buy just asking what oils do you use in the gearbox, how often is it changed and what premix oil/mix has it been run on. If the reply is what gearbox oil? never, petrol with stuff from the Tesco garage then...you get the idea. Good luck
  23. He's on Fire!!!!! gonna whoop us at the Dave Roland Sunday
