Easiest way would be a tester to see if its got power from the stator, if it has it could be the cdi, the 04 was notorious for staters though, but then again my 07 had flames out of the backbox, managed to get it home and put a new plug in it and it was fine.

Yes the weight is fitted to the 07 . i took the weight off all my beta"s up until the 07, i wont be taking it off my 08 it just dont need it. mines a 270 though.

It may be as wide as the scorpa, but nowhere near as heavy.

Ive had 3 250s and four 270s, i wouldnt say im expert but the grip i seem to find on the 270 is awesome, it could be to do with the gearing being slightly higher,im not sure the 08 though doesnt want to rip your arms off like the previous models.

Ive had seven beta"s and never taken the top end off, if you had to though its only a couple of hundred quid at the most, the mont would be a lot more.

I used to be the same i could go to the right much better, but my mate is better at going left and always used to make sections that you had to hop left, now i can hop both ways.
