  1. I wanted to go to that pretty bad, but I had to work all day last friday and its about a 14 hr drive from here.
  2. As long as the Beta gets fixed it should be ok.
  3. Do not point your toes in the direction you want to go. If it's a steep off camber you can move your feet back and ride with your toes on the pegs. This allows for a great feel for peg input. No amount of body twisting will make the bike turn, but will instead put your arms in all kinds of weired positions.

Section 6 on Sat. was the craziest thing I ever saw. Cody almost cleaned it on his last loop! Did all the hard stuff and dabbed on the way out the exit. I didn't see it, but heard it from the man himself.
  5. It's spoken for already. I had him in mind when I bought it, thinking he would want it if I didn't. Sure enough I got a email from him when he found out I had it.
  6. I think I'm gonna let someone else deal with it. While I think it can be fixed up, there is nothing about the bike that I really like, though it would be neat if I could get a TL250 motor in it. I have a TL250 that needs more than the Fantic.
  7. Whats a mexican food place in Norman OK got to do with anything?
  8. I like the S3 riser. It made it much easier to get on the front of the bike for those extreme up hill off camber turns that I'm still not that good at. I have the bars rolled far forward and slid back, but not all the way back. This does not interfere with big steps and I have no problems keeping the front down. I started out with them slid all the way to the front and found that I could not turn, so I slid them back till I was comfortable turning. After about a year I noticed I was having trouble keeping my back tire planted on fairly large irregular steps, so I slid them back a little more and that cured that problem. I have back and neck problems and the risers help with that.
  9. Yes it's running rich, I know that much.
  10. I had to choke it to start it after running it dry. I didn't have the filter hooked up.
  11. Just picked up an '84 300. It starts pretty good, but won't run clean until the carb is almost dry. It runs good for about 10 seconds before it runs out of gas and dies. I thought maybe the float valve is leaking or floats too high but it looks like it would start running better before the carb is practically empty. It's got the stock carb, 45 pilot, needle in the lowest position. I didn't check the main jet size, but I'm no where close to needing that yet.
  12. Where do you get the WES springs?
  13. Riding on the arches gives you an axis in which to rotate the foot around the peg, forward or backwards. Riding on the balls or even the toes can give you greater control and traction on uphill off-camber turns. So, ride on the axis if you need the flexability and freedom of movement and move to the balls or toes for the uphill off-cambers.
  14. You can get the Michelin tube type, they are available in the US.
  15. I just used an adjustable open end wrench to bend mine back in place.
  16. Can't seem to get the cases split on a '01 2.9 whats the trick?
  17. Roll your bars forward. If your coming over backs is a new thing, the riser has caused a shift in your body weight to the rear of the bike.
  18. BillyT, that looks like a Texas Champian number plate.
  19. I met David today. I watched him ride a few sections.

  22. Rule #1 Do not, repeat- DO NOT convert a TY mono to a twin shock!!!!
  23. Well the chinese CDI seems to work pretty well. I've got a lot of work to do to the bike but I was holding off till I got it running. A guy in New Mexico is sending me an original off a non runner. But I will use the chinese one if it doesnt work. The CDI is hard to diagnose. I checked the new one with my ohm meter it looked just like the one that didn't work.
