  1. Yeah, i spent a couple hours on mine before I put oil in it.
  2. It's bull****!!! If those videos are examples of no-stop it's serious bull****!
  3. My guess is that you are going to have problems with your clutch with a 15-50, unless you modify your fiber plates. Is it a 2013?
  4. If you bike is a '12 model the outer most and inner most friction plates are different than the rest. I cut the grooves with a hacksaw blade. Mine was so bad I had to change oil every other ride or it would grab at the most inopertune times.

    Beta Suspension

My new 2012 forks seem to work a little better than my 2011 ones. They remind me of the Showas on my old Monty.
  6. The frame/gas tank where the upper motor mount bolts up is where the frame cracks. check it very closely. It will start leaking fuel when it gets bad enough. You may have to take the motor mount off to get a better look.
  7. Yes, and we all put our feet down sometimes.
  8. Just to add a couple of things: inside arm straight-outside bent, weight on the outside peg, weight on the outside peg, weight on the outside peg. Just to make it a little more complicated; you initiate a turn with pressure on the inside peg but quickly transfer weight to the outside. You can practice this when going down a curvy trail by doing it kind of like a skier.
  9. I've never had trouble with the Montesa but on some Shercos you cant even see the spark in the daytime.
  10. If that changes anything, then you can narrow the gap a little.
  11. Try a little wider gap on the points.
  12. And I'm continuing with the 425cc in the new one.
  13. Strongly agree with this. My '08 270 was a great bike( still is but it don't belong to me no more). But the transmission was difficult to shift until the above was done. There are some improvements in the new bike from the '08 but the '08 was just a great bike. Funny thing was I couldn't ride it when I first got it. I thought I was going to set the world on fire, and all I could do was crash! I didn't learn how to ride it till after I broke my leg on it.
  14. I have a chain breaker that is the same style as the one posted on ebay. I bought it at a bearing shop about 20 years ago. I have used it on many chains and not just motorcycle chains. The trick to keep it from distoting the links is to not try to push one pin through all at once but to alternate from one pin to the other only pushing a little at a time. It's much better than a grinder and a punch
  15. We don't put extra splits for Senior AM in Texas, I like the idea though.
  16. She gets my undivided attention. Maybe that's why I ride extra bad when she's around.
  17. I finaly found mine in the middle of a pile a while back and mailed it. Sorry it was so late, but I would have never found it if you hadn't posted here. Thanks Neil King
  18. So it's no good at 45:1? THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!
  19. That's one of my most favorite trials, even though I got my ass kicked by a kid on an 80.

    Coolant Weep Hole

My understanding is; if it has a weep hole it has 2 seals, if it doesn't have a weep hole it has 1 seal. The '01 I changed had a weep hole and 2 seals, but the shaft was different than the one pictured. RYP sent a new shaft like the one pictured but I couldn't use it.
  21. Look at what the chain tensioner cam contact point on the swing arm looks like. I think some numpty been working on it(appolagies if it was you).
