Well, I must admit that I have not a clue what the plans are for the year. I have not spoken to Noel, yet I can tell you that any any and all support would be greatly appreciated. The simple fact of making your presence known can be a big deal. Someone to contact or go to when away if things went bad. Alexz over here would be like a son to me, no prob. On the same token, having someone in contact like that in some off country can be a big deal! Dabster knows how to contact Noel, give him a PM! Just say helow! I could be wrong, yet that was my understanding that the 250 motor would go Scorpa, course one could always change if needed, yet the whole fallacy about needing more than the 250 is a lot of BS for most average riders to begin with. I never see them Mont riders complain about them 4t 's in that range, and if anyone had the balls to even keep up with agood 125 rider they would be doing something! Most are just overbiked! Few can use or need the added power. The rest are just followers that can let the bike work against them, yet have lost it! More power is fun, but does not win at trials necessarily.

I think you may need an EIDE drive! They are harder to find nowdays, but available. I ran into this with this old POS in the shed last year! I do not usually send around messages like this one... but these kids were ingenious and sent a powerful message that we should all hear! Kind of like the kid who took the Chemistry Final and finished a half hour before everyone else. However, rules were once you sat down you could not get up until the Proctor said so. There he sat and after a few minutes he nodded off. When the bell rang he woke up only to see the Proctor looking at him in an empty room. It seems he slept 5 minutes PAST the allotted time and had not turned in his paper. He walked up and tried to hand his Exam to the Proctor but was told that since he was asleep and didn't turn it in on time he would get a Zero. The student, perplexed and angry that the Proctor who clearly saw he had finished early would be such a jerk. He looked him square in the eye and asked, "Do you know WHO I AM?" The Proctor, stood up, leaned forward looked the student square in the eye and said, "No... I have no idea WHO YOU ARE and I really don't care!" The Student quickly took his exam paper and inserted it into the stack of exams that had been piled on the desk between them. With that he smiled at the Proctor and said, "Good! Thank you," and left!

I was told that we shall see the Scorpa/Sherco as a 2011 bike. Meaning end of year? The Scorpa is a sweet bike, and with that motor should be awesome for the "rest of us" that do not do world championships and such.(98%) I do think it could easily become the type of REAL bike that many want and need. Perhaps more conventional, nothing wrong with that!

They are race bikes, as you stated! Form follows function! And good prep and maintenance is key! How does your kickstart damage the frame? Does it need rotating forward a notch? I just got back from the weekend at TTC having a chance on the new ones and spending a good part of it with Brad and Ryan of US Sherco. All I can say is the bikes are indeed pretty awesome, feel really good to my liking! No worries about the Sherco motor! Ryan has one set up with a supposed 312cc top and S-3 head on it! (new factory stuff?) LOTS of power! yet gentile as the big Beta is. I think I fell in love with the new 250! Power is spot on and the front end is near effortless to lift for a good plant on the rear. I want one! No horror stories to tell, mayby a few early tanks being replaced under warranty, as Brad said they have changed the welding process ov the internal baffle in the tank to add reinforcement. Do we have to give that 250 motor to Scorpa?

Sadly, I think it may be totally impracticle to even attempt in this day. Without factory sponsorship, a place to stay, a second job to pay for food, one cannot just do Europe for Years. Pat has developed the skillset! Putting it in application in Europe while time lagged and upset bowel will be a challenge in itself for him if on a trip to and fro. All this works against you! If he gets over and has a good day he may do well, if not, then just another learning experience. I doubt he has unreal expectations as he is a pretty level headed kid. To be honest, I think his teknique on the modern bikes is already beyond anything Tommi Avahla could show him, who was(is)here spending time. It is a different day. And Pat is on that different level. Damn'ed hard to set sections for, that is for sure! Without killing some!
