  1. A man married 25 years ago, looked at his wife one day and said, "Honey, 25 years ago we had a cheap rented house and a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed, and watched a 19-inch black-and-white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25-year-old blonde and have wild monkey sex. "Now we have an $800,000 home, a $45,000 car just like Atomant's, a nice bed, and a plasma screen TV, but now I'm sleeping with a 50-year-old woman with a constant headache and no sex. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things." His wife, being a very reasonable woman, told him to go out and find a hot 25-year-old blonde and she would make sure that he would once again be living in a cheap rented house, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed, and watching a 19-inch black-and-white TV, if he was lucky......
  2. Great going Alexz, Dabster is chuffed! Me too! Come on Browney! You can do it! Carlos has pulled away from Baldilocks, and Baldi has let Becky Cook get a slight advantage with only one point separating them. The mudwrestling competition between them awaits! Ishy is still lagging behind the rest of the girls, sniffing the perfume! Beer is good with the ibuprophen! Seems young Jack Challoner had a bad day, putting him out of the points race, while Vasey and P.A. have retired. Hope they are ok!
  3. Well yes, they may indeed both be leaking and deteorated as some the others have gone. Mainly attributed to the alcohol in the fuel best I can summize. Your little test may have just confirmed that! I replaced mine 2-3 months back, and they will pop out easily enough after removing the flywheel and stator plate on the left, then the clutch cover, clutch basket and primary drive gear on the right. Might require something a bit more sturdy than a dental pick to pry them out, as mine were stuck well and I had to use a small screwdriver, yet principal the same. Current thoughts on the seals themselves. The current replacement parts through Sherco seem to be the standard black nitrile seals. If you want the upgraded and more expensive seals in Viton(resistant), then go to Splatshop UK, as he has sourced the better seals as well as an option. You will likely have them in a week. Being a geek, I got the better ones, just simply in the hopes that myself or others may not need to contend with this issue for some time. Tech notes on all this---------bs! If you tear the clutch side cover gasket you will need a new one! Those hose clamps suck on the wp hose, replace them with a screw clamp and can them! 8-22mm as I recall. Buy spares for the head! Scribe both nuts and shafts on clutch hub, primary drive and flywheel so you can put them back up to proper torque (or slightly beyond marks) easily and quickly using a rattlegun rather than needing all them holders and such. Screw all that! I am lazy! I have tools to do it! This whole thing really p****d me off, as while I had the clutch basket off, I started thinking about doing the Dan Williams clutch mod(Beta threads) on the Sherco! Took me a while, yet I am happy with the outcome and glad I spent the afternoon fileing and polishing on plates and taking grooves out of the basket! Works good! Once again, the geek took over, and I tried another experiment, and using the needle file put a small diagonal groove into every pad on every friction plate. Estimate 5-6 hours massaging this thing! Fingers numb! My clutch works well, even with the two springs out! No slip or stick from cold using the synthetic Merc ATF! Your mileage may vary!

  6. Persuming your jetting is correct and has been so all along, mix is correct at 70-80:1 and all that, there is a possibility that the bike may indeed be sucking in a bit of lube from the gearbox side. Try measuring what comes out, VS what goes in! That might be a big clue! 450m ml would be your mark, drain it on a warmed motor so it should all come out easily. There are some other tests we have done such as checking for unusual vacume or pressure on the case vent line, yet I admit it can be iffy. A full pressure test may reveal nothing, as too much pressure or vacume just seems to help the marginal seals seal better. It is on the subtile balance of the transitions that they will leak. Do you have any floaty idle symptoms at times?
  7. With a good clean day, seems Dougie has surpassed Baldilocks today, while Baldi(Glenn Quinn) still holds a marginal lead over Carlos Casas! Good job man! Seems Ishy is riding just a bit behind the lasses, Emma, Becky, and Katy, typical! P.A. is guarding the rear, yet had a much better day today! The kids, Browny, Alexz, Jack and such , are just HOT Stuff!

    Sad News

It is with great regret that I announce the passing of Allen Guyot from KS. age 53. Allen was a personal friend of mine from the trials scene, and a great guy that held much history in both national and regional levels dating back to the 80's as best I figure, possibly beyond, yet far beyond my time in the trials game. A very skillfull rider whom often dominated events ! Such a great fellow rider and promotor of trials! Reports are that he passed in his sleep prior to the event in OK last weekend. He will be missed by many, my comments are but a pittance! Gods Speed Allen! I will miss you!
  10. Time to sort through the bulk of these All here! 160 is impossible, lots good, some just in perspective, the rest are what they are! My wrists are naked! Click on the slideshow button in the upper right! Rocks are small in Scotland!
  11. Good job Jon, Cody seems in top form, I have not seen him in a while and I seemed to notice he has lost weight and is really on his game! He is a great kid! I shall only post up one photo here, I had to work really hard to get this one! I had a look through the others, and there are quite a few that turned out well, nice day and far too many to narrow down to a small perspective here, so I have done something a bit different and gone with the photobucket thing, which is new to me, yet seems to allow me to share these in a better perspective as some are not great in themselves but maybe better taken is series or such. Most of the EX and PRO riders, then the awards, which many had to leave early due to drives. Anyway, I will try to set up a different deal in the Trials Photography section that is linked to the others that all may access!
  12. Not neccessarily a horror story, but word had it today that Karl Davis Jr. managed to crush a muffler and tank yeserday after a big off on the huge rocks at Tish! No one else seemed to have a problem, does that tell you anything?
  13. Pat in the saddle today with 4, Cody on 13, Kieth on 58! I rode the Nikon today, so will try to post a few after sorting!
  14. Trust me Steve, these guys get SCARY with the sections! Thus the disparity in the scores! Add the fact the granite is soo grippy, yet hurts soo badly! There is a contest to guess which three that Tommi Avahla built, I think he set the pace! I hope ther were no big falls today, as metal and flesh is just torn! Proper scores for the top of the crop, hard to do!
  15. I hope they got a better van than that 2.0 transit! At least something you can fit a bike into!
  16. Yea, good job Dave! Go update your profile now Clive! I'm gonna do what your little thingie says and support the 2009 tdn with beer cans!

  18. Sounds as though you may have set it back abit too far. Find the mid point of the two, that should be closer as I recall. Maybe someone has a diagram.
  19. RL said no scores posted yet. Possible close race with Cody. Quote from Ryan on the day, sections 10 times harder than Portugal!! Ouch!
  20. Uh, I had to work today(at work), just getting off now. Will go up tomorrow. Let me see if I can call RL!
  21. Yes, they will interchange and are reinforced a bit, yet no guarantee they will not leak. Must keep an eye on them for trapping water inside, or drill 3mm hole in bottom to let them drain and vent.

    Weather

Oh good! I am sure you can find me a special one, size L, after tossing my letter of rejection in the bin with no perfumed response. Just pass it to Donald! There is a pic on the website, yet none in the online store. My paypal still works if needed!
  23. Welcome, there are great clubs up there! Get in toutch with Mike at the Tryals Shop! He can fill you in!
  24. I will toss you a couple of things, 1- No replacement for displacement! 2- Side valve motors do not flow well at high rpm's! 3- A high performance 4T motor does it in the wrong rpm range for trials.
