  1. I am not sure these have the same timing advance curve, yet should be good enough I suspect. Can you tell any difference in Mfg part numbers? How much was the stator?
  2. HeHe, quite a job indeed!!!! I gotta admit it kinda sucke to have a clean day and still not get a win, but thats the way it goes. Good luck tomorrow Pat, kick some butt!
  3. I'll foot the bill if you can get him to the Pub!

    Weather

Smart fellow! Here, let me give a go! Day 1- Might rain 30% Day 2- Might rain 40% Day 3- Rain likely 50% Day 4- Showers likely 60%-80% Day 5- Some sun 20% Day 6- Might rain 30% We will compare notes later!
  5. RL should be there, as he is the only one listed in OK, and I seen only one listed in TX(ouch), but should be there as well. Not sure what they will do as far as top level sponsorship, but they are damn good bikes it seems. Cannot fault the bikes just because the importer has changed.
  6. Takes a bit of piddling for sure. Bobtlr would be the one to PM, but I think the inlet rubber would need changing(Sherco part from '08). Because of the fixed top cable mount on the 24 that I have on the 2.9, I had to use the top lid off my 28(threaded) and then the modded tube thing and adjuster off the original dellorto. If you have these things it is no big deal, otherwise you may need to get a lot of little stuff to put it together. Yet all can be had.
  7. I kinda wondered about that as well, yet have not heard anything to the contrary, as seems someone would have mentioned a problem by now?

    Fuel Gauge 2010

Simple enough it seems, as one would need to "T" in a clear hose from the bottom fitting of the tank. Cap it off with a plug or bleeder valve, then when you want to know the tank level, just vent it and the fuel will seek its level. Placement on the bike is another matter, not tried it.
  9. Oh I know that, but it is pretty bad when Zippy is the only one to catch a typo! Obviously I will have to find something much less subtile and with less innuendo for Bigfoot! Hummmm, Maybe he likes ? Here's one for the rest,
  10. These keyways are normally very standard metric sizes and available cheap. Not sure your size, but mine would be considered a standard 3x10 on a Sherco which may be similar as they have used similar ignitions such as the Ducati. Take your measures and call the auto parts store even. Or just call your Beta rep.
  11. Oh well, go ahead! Not sure if it was the guns, the cheese eaters, or the peter puffers that took you to the brink! At least we will know the sheep are safe! Oh, btw, Main Entry: con
  12. 5 wt oil is standard, should be fine. You can use a dull flat blade to tap the outer dust covers up to dislodge them, then inspect/clean what is underneath them on the seals. As trialsnutterman stated, a thin feeler guage or an old 35mm filmstrip can often be used to slide round under the actual seal lips to get crud out. Results vary, yet takes only a few.
  13. I read all that, and I just gotta state that I find it rather offensive on too many levels. So someone pays there way there, and cannot be able to gladly give money to the SACU on site, is rediculous enough. The fact that you gotta mess with FIM if not from the UK, is another put off, in time and money. Add to all that, none of this is really about "license" really is it? More about money and or insurance?
  14. I do not normally post up things sent to me by others on this forum, yet this is an exception! 15. I think Ham might be on to something here! Seems all those ULF waves bouncing about the globe have kept my bowells upset as well! Massive amounts of gas have indeed become a sublime weapon, specially after Mexican food! If this happens to all the cows in Texas, the UK could be covered in a cloud of methane gas stinch before long due to the prevailing winds.
  16. I do not know of any posted info either, yet much of the other info you may have picked up may well apply. The other Sherco specific info that am aware of consists mostly of "duct tape"! There may be variences on the 3.2, yet basics apply. 1- Cover rear mudguard junction to frame/ airbox. 2- Fab a "drip flap" just before this junction. Full 2inch flap. 3- Tape and seal the left side mudguard to airbox strip along the side. 4-Cover holes in top of mudguard. 5- Cover holes in skidplate and any open area you can under rad. A "drip flap" under rad may be considered to keep stuff from splashing up. 6- Optional, as I ues a coarse nylon window screen material glued to the top of the air filter retainer with 3M weatherstrip glue to keep large crap out and help as a water diflector. Skuff it up first so it sticks and let it hang off the top just a bit. 7- My thoughts include having a good way of keeping the rad clean. No idea what wash provisions they have there. A way of replenishing the rad(tube or funnel) if needed on the day. Post something up on the Sherco forum to see if others have further suggestions. Cheers and best to you, MC
  17. It sounds as though your master cyl piston is not returning fully enough to open the backflow port. This may be due to dirt and or corrosion so disassembly and a re-build kit may be needed. You may be surprized what is under that rubber boot!
  18. Agreed with the others, as you should normally keep them around the .0015 spec. Give it a decent run in period and thing should be fine for a long time.. as I would only back off to .002 for those that wanted to immediatly jump back to the MX track back in the day!
  19. I would venture to guess that Pat was much more than an also ran in this event. I think there were probably a lot of eyes on this "wildcard" in the game. These kids are incredible, and the best in the world! To be honest, I seriously doubt we have another rider here in the US that could be a top contender in the Youth class even, yes they are THAT good! Then add the rules changes and issues with time limits and you have a real recipie for disaster! I am just glad Ryan is there to stay on top of things, as this is a learning experience for all, and they are in the game. Cannot ask for more.
  20. Could be why you have no teeth though, I understand they like soup there!
  21. Set it up tight and it should be good. I had to ream the bush to size after pressing it into the pedal. Seems it was a 14mm hole as i recall.
  22. Well as per my original post, they have indeed overreacted, and we shall yet see the outcome of all this, pity! Government at work! If they will just let the Airlines Pilots run the Airlines, please!
  23. Several clubs around and a few good riders! We'll hook u up if needed!
