    Black Framed!

Just a note for those who tend to mess things up(like me), on the newer "BLACK FRAMED" wonders, a bit of #360-400 sandpaper and a can of Krylon Simi-Flat Black, will correct most of your misgivings near perfect! If you dent or bend it, that is another story!

    Sherco 3.2

It is obvious that Kinell's right leg is poorly trained! The last 4T i started/rode was a pussycat! Ran perfectly, and no mods! I think it may be the same one Ish got! Although the first I rode was a pig! I hope they sort those Dellortos prior to installation!
  3. For those who are not aware, the Training Days will be held again this year at TTC the last weekend of this month of March. A variety of classes each day put on by many of the top riders in the US, and for a very nominal fee for the weekend which covers riding, some food and entertainment, and if you are really lucky(and dumb enough to deserve it, like me), a lecture by professor D. Brown! Expect names like Bruce LeRiche, Chris Florin, Ryan Young and others! Pat Smage is probably ready to escape some snow! Will Ibsen will probably be there, and i would guess the Beta team! Maybe Montesa? This is one of the most fun weekends of riding that you will ever do, in some of the best area around! (and no, they did not pay me to say it) So all of you average guys and gals(like me) can come have some fun and learn something in trials heaven!

    Sherco 3.2

AND the BIG BORE kit comes factory installed at no extra charge!
  5. Gaz, my memory is good, yet short! But it helps to have owned at least a half dozen Sherco's over the years, as well as listened and learned from others here and elsewhere that I could not begin to list! The RYP website has a wealth of helpful information as well as the Sherco site. Add to that the fact that even after a lifetime of working on things, I occasionally still get "tinkeritis" which is defined as the uncontrollable urge to improve, modify, repair or destroy something! So in many cases I have learned the hard way, but I am also old and wise enough to learn from others mistakes! I take no credit for the latter! Take care of your bike and it will take care of you!

    Forks

Raising them helps you get traction in a muddy trial as weight is transferred toward the rear, so go play!

    Sherco 3.2

The Sherco news stated thay were going to campain one in the Outdoors, so we shall see! Ishy still has the best one in the rest of the world!
  9. Gaz, The '04 has the later delta link, so you might as well just call MRS for one, or your local dealer. I only replaced mine as an update, but ! seem to recall it was only about $60, or L30 at the time. Probably not worth the postage on the older one even if I gave it to you. They may have the lower shock bushings, or a fix! I cannot recall which shock was on the '04, so you would probably need to know. Clark, the forks prior to '06 are different, 300cc ea. on a drain and fill, 330cc on a dry rebuild!
  10. Was it the Wrestler guy or Jerry Springer wo is the Mayor there?
  11. Who is running for office, you or the dog? I am confused!
  12. Lewisport carries them here in the states. I think he can arrange to anywhere but you must call or e-mail! Surely there is a Jitsie dealer in the UK if that is where you are. Other than that, an adjustable shocker with proper spring rates of your choosing does have its advantages! I do not know who can repair either the Olle or the Sachs shocks. Does anyone else? ps- what year is the bike, as I have a good delta link off an '03, I think they changed them in '04 slightly.
  13. Raga must have a woman in every port by now! He is distracted! Bou is certainly motivated$ But none can touch Caby if he is on his day! His day shall come!
  14. 300ml(cc) each leg should be fine on a drain and fill. Have not used the PJ1, and I am not exactly sure about their ratings, but if it says 5wt fork oil, it should be fine as well. It should be pretty much "water" thin in consistancy. I understand some heavier riders prefer 10wt, or a blend! Are you sure the lower shock bolt is not just loose? I do not recall lower bushings being available, only upper! You jave to drop the top bold to get things to move to where you can ck the lower as I recall. The new shock from TRP/ Jitsie is supposed to be a good one.
  15. Uh, I think it is fixed, downloaded IE7! It seems to have the same "tabs" as Firefox and seems to work the same bloody way! It would not be so bad if I was one of those types that sat behind a computer all day, but I have 5 at work, depending where I am at, at any given moment, plus three at home. Which makes 7(as I don't mess with the kids untill it crashes). The SHED is the oldest and works best!
  16. Good job mate! Cannot figure why those things are so tight to begin with! But a bit of patience is better than beating the crap out of it! I learned it the hard way! Good to share, just a Paioli thing I think! Reminds you to keep the headstock in grease!
  17. At this point, it seem as though I have managed to get rid of the Address(searchbar) redirects using the Spybot, but the autofill is still pulling up web addresses from somewhere that I have not been able to find, and I have deleted the Google and Yahoo toolbar crap the the young'un downloaded. The autofill is definately pulling from the ie history temp file, the Favs and ,the desktop, but somewhere else as well that I cannot find, and that is the one that is loaded with the (old) redirects! Or so it seems!
  18. The 200 top will only fit the 1.25 and take it to 163cc as I recall! Not a bad bike though, very smooth! Although things like the long header and the Boyesen reeds will smooth the 2.9 nicely, It still has lots of power! There is also the 5mm intake spacer off the '05 as I recall and you can stack another base gasket(up to 3 total)! It should be a real DOG by then! Total cost about 100 quids thingies! Beyond that point, an electric motor and a LONG cord is the next step!
  19. Good thing you were'nt smoking in the car, he would have called the cops!
  20. Dave, I have done most of that, with the exception of the Blaster thing, I just cannot figure out where autofill is getting the addresses from, as after deleting "history" the only places that normally come up are "favs" and such. I have tried the Firefox, which seems really neat, but if you leave it running, you stay logged in to everything, and if you kill it , they are gone anyway, so wtf good is that, although I could manage to eat up some of Andy's bandwidth 24/7. So I like the autocomplete, couple of letters and click! It is just full of crap! My thoughts fwiw.!
  21. it says "only" as they are a bit different!
  22. Not neccessarily, they are just tuned better! A 'blueprinted" motor, and yet, small changes can be made to settle it if need be! Good stuff!
  23. The Ryan Young DvD's you will watch over and over!
  24. If it says PXC on it, it is one of a limited number ov bikes that has been massaged by PAXAU racing and will have had a few mods, mainly including porting and cylender work and matching the heads. Mostly available to the pro riders on 2.9's as I understand, yet some 2.5's may be around. I wish I had one!

    Sherco 290

As a note, there may be exceptions on early built bikes that may still carry the prior year digit in the 10'th position. These are built just after the new model release but yet prior to full changeover to the new year. In that case, it will have a very high last four digits, probably near 6000 or greater i would think. I have had a couple ov "early" bikes this way. Yet they still have all the new model stuff!
