  1. Commo winding -up!
  2. Bruce LeRiche, Chris Florin, Pat Smage, Will Ibsen, Andrew Blane, and former pro and 6-times champ Ryan Young, Kieth Wineland, Sarah Duke, Phillip Smage, Ronnie Commo---- am I forgetting anyone? Cody could not make it! Well, long story made short, they were all there to help and play, later. After a bit of rest from picking up trainees all weekend, many were staying to practice a while before other commitments. Hmmmm, maybe I can get a fwe pics up from Monday! Good hit from Patrick!
  3. Yea, Dan had to give me the lecture for we who ride the "short bus", Ha! Great fun! Great time! Good job again! 115 riders, family and others, BIG deal! A National get together for the average rider! I really get a kick out of those crazy Canooks!
  4. Lets see some piccies! Before you bash it!
  5. Not quite sure I totally understand how things got shifted around here or why you had to bleed the rear brake, but I can tell you that if you did manage to get air in it you must break loose the top banjo bolt to the hose to get it out, otherwise you will have a real fight getting it out and work forever trying! Hope that helps!
  6. I think the spacer is different, PM "rlracer" as he will know for sure!

Hmmmm, nothing wrong with either bike, not sure if that is 500 US or UK? Makes a difference! To tell you the truth, I went through the same delema! Just go for the '07 and put a Kiehin on if you are so inclined! Depends upon the power you want, but the '07 is very smooth to begin with. I think the slightly shorter swing arm of the '07 works well! Very responsive! And the bike is supposed to be 1 kilo lighter, although I have not weighed it! Although I cannot sell anythin here, I can tell you that the "skinny" CF swingarm guards for the '07 are in testing and mine stil look new after a dozen trials! I still make the wider ones for the prior years. M2C

When these things happen, it is the BRANE(not brain) that becomes inop! Much like people stepping on the gas, thinking they are pressing the brake harder in a car! Happens more often than you would like to know! Waiting for a report to reveal how much water and dirt is still in the airbox!

Got a play on the first one in the US at the TTC weekend! Quite nice! Impressions are,(though quite subjective) quite strong off the bottom, much like the Honda, but will chug down to nothing where the Honda stopps running and spits you over the bars, and still recover with lots of power! After it cought me by surprize and put me on my butt, I respected it a bit more(first to crash it too) after the floater became a flip turn that I was not ready for! Stronger in the lower revs than the 2T 250 I think! Maybe even the 270! After that it seemed to flatten out to a very rideable and linear power much like the 4T Scorpa, which is very linear all the way through the revs, and may make more power on the mid and top! I may be starting to like this four stroke thing! M2C
  10. It will work fine!

Depends upon how mush you want Fat Bars, Billet Clamps ans New Swingarm!
  13. I have some proper inlet rubbers somewhere, let me find the info! You just have to "stick it in"(shove) to the reed side! Sex Lube!

This was a new bike on Saturday! After Sunday at TTC? I still have not figured out how he rides it with just those little nubby things where the pegs used to be(note brake lever also)! Yea, he rides on the EDGE! And likes NEW ROCKS!

Clive, You want to see my bruises after the TTC weekend? You missed seenig the 4T Beta turn a stationary floater into a flip turn with ME ending on the BoTTom!

Currently, it is not an issue at our (NTTA) primary riding area at Muenster as they have their own insurance. TXTC and NEOTT are a different deal, and they may go AMA as I understand. That is all I know!
  18. Ohhhhhhh! I want one!

This is also what happens when you do not check the airbox and filter after washing the bike!

Just take a half bottle of Advil, Jay! Always works for me! Nothing hurts, except my knees,,,, of course my lower back still, well nevermind that bit, my neck does give a little problem. And then there is the old right shoulder! Just forget I said anything!
  21. Be sure they are not overtightened!
  22. All that caution about using car engine oil has never been an issue, for me, but a 10-40 gear oil is the spec. So go figure, I have used ATF/ motor oil(synthetic both) blend(bit quicker clutch) for the last few years with no problems. Your mileage may vary! Be sure your gearbox vent tube is run up over the carb fuel inlet, then down to the skidplate like the new ones. Different thing on a Gasser for sure! M2C!

You do need some preload on the spring to hold it. Rear sag(weight of bike) should be 20-30mm. I do not recall the '06 having a grubscrew, but a drop of blue locktight should do it . I always removed the screw anyway! Never moved!

I am always amazed just how good many of the old guys are! After laying off riding for nearly twenty years, I did not start riding trials untill THIS decade! And so the old guys routinely kick my butt! For some reason, I don't feel as bad getting beat by the kids! I'll be eligable for our Vet(over 50) class next year, and I could not hang with that croud!
  25. I was told the D40 was the new unit with most the features of the D80 in a smaller package, but the autofocus was done in the lens, which requires the special(more costly) lenses. Being "only" 6meg, it does seem to be getting to the point where file size no longer matters, unless? I certainly do not plan upon printing anything lifesize! Was it Andy who stated that he routinely only uses 3-4 meg res for most? Thoughts?
