  1. Yes there are two on the gas gas as well, i should know as i snapped both of them last month, not good. That ment a last minute dash to the local dealer the night before an event. Have to look back and laugh now i guess.
  2. I suffer from having a curved spine, a condition that I can do nothing about and regularly suffer back pain weather I am riding or not. I have found that wearing a back support and doing some gentle exercises and stretches before riding has helped allot. I know someone else in the same position who has fitted raised bars and they said it helped to.
  3. 1st. Bou 2nd. Lampkin 3rd. Fuji 4th. Dibs 5th. Browny
  4. For any Uk trials fans out there sunday night on BBC 2 will see Richard Hammond in ameriaca meeting the great Evel Knievel. This turned out to be the last television interview Evel gave before his death so will be well worth watching.
  5. I saw this a few days ago and had to laugh, often browse the bikes for sale on there and have to say this is possibly the worst i have seen. not even took the time to clean it (and he says it's his pride and joy?). Needless to say with 13hours to go he has no bids.
  6. Think that would be a great idea, so long as you dont end up with to many forums as you may end up with several which do not get used. I know of several riders here in the Eastern centre which post on trials central.com so would be good idea. We have one club which runs a forum for the centre and is well used on a daily basis not just for info and regs but also for the odd bit of chat/banter etc. Hope to see such a thing set up in the new year.
  7. Evel Knievel has been a hero of mine since i was a child, had to admire his guts to always get back on the bike no matter what. The wembley stadium jump in London in 1975 was over 13 busses, a distance he had never jumped before, something he only realized on the day of the jump when he saw the busses lined up for the first time in the arena. But rather than take a bus out or cancel his attitude was " i said i'd jump 13 so i'll do it". You got to admire that. Ok he didn't make it but a few months later once fully recovered he attempted 14 busses at a jump in Ohio in America, this time he put his whole career on the line saying "if i make it i'll carry on, if not i'll pack it all in". This put extra pressure on the jump which was two busses more than he had ever attempted. Needless to say he made it and the Kneivel legend continued. At the snake river canyon jump in 74 he was convinced that he was not going to make it across after several tests flights ended in disaster, but once again the knievel was to carry on "if i said i'll do it then i will" Once again he failed but lived to fight another day. Just a couple of quick stories that let you know what kind of a man he was. What a guy, a one off, never be any one like him again!!!! (except maybe Eddie Kidd who I met recently and is also a legend!!) Plus how many of you had the Evel Knievel stunt cycle toy as a kid?
  8. I want one!!! That looks good, as you say fair play to them, must have taken a while.

  11. Check this out Bernie Schreiber, Eddie Lejeune and Colin Boniface in action at eston neston for the 1982 kickstart final, great stuff With all the rubbish that is repeated on TV these days why can
  12. Just read the same piece in TMX and agree with you 100%. He is the best young rider we have had in the eastern centre for a good long while, On and off the bike he is an extremely likeable young lad and im sure not just us in this centre but the whole country wish him well for the future, Good luck Jack and well done for what you have achieved this year.
  13. hi mark, sorry cant help with the bike just thought id say hi, nice to see another rider getting into trials in this area, what club have you joined?? will be riding at chelmsford this weekend and at darsham in a couple of weeks, good luck with everything, maybe see you around.
  14. Having had my hebo crash helmet for about a year I am finding its getting quite dirty inside with the usual sweat from riding (falling in a river a few weeks ago didn
  15. SAT 03 NOV 1030 Eurosport. missed it together with most of the outdoor coverage. Hawkstone and andorra on WED 31 OCT 1000-1030 respectivly also on eurosport Just be aware that some eurosport programes are not always shown at the advertised time, as i found out last night. Just thought i would mention it as some people might be setting the video for it.
  16. Just watched it thanks, does anybody know why the Spanish team took a white pillow case onto the podium with them and what was written on it???? had me a little confused?
  17. I must admit i thought at the time that the US put in a good perfromance at the outdoor TDN. Do you have a national indoor series over there or any kind of indoor events??? Seems like some people have a problem with me asuming that the spanish team already have one hand on the trophy? But would anyone really bet against them taking the title again. I will be cheering on our british guys but just being realistic.
  18. nice one glenn your on youtube, fantastic!! was looking for you at alphamstone on sunday, didnt realise you were riding the scott the day before, good on you mate!!! see you soon.
  19. i totaly agree, the event will be good and i will be cheering on dougie, brown, grimbo, wiggy etc. think the british team have a good chance, but would you bet against the spanish team indoors?? and yes it is the winning that counts. at least im sure thats the way our guys will see it when they go there next month. there not there just to take part are they.
  20. just seen this, well worth a look. http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...ntllorens_sport
  21. It will take place on the 24th November in Cordoba, Spain, got the info from the F.I.M website so guess its gonna be correct. Think we all know who's going to win it though dont we.
  22. The only games that i have are Motor racer world tour for the PsOne/PS2 and Motor racer 3 for the PC. Released about 5-6 years ago they feature some good indoor sections. Could pick them up on ebay for a couple of quid. They are quite good fun but take a bit of practice to get rite. There is also the Dougie Lampkin Trial Challenge avalible as a mobile phone game to download. Hope this helps.
  23. I dont think anybody would disagree with the fact that laia sanz is still the best rider in the championship, but sometimes the best riders do not always win, just one of those things, Iris has been a top rider for many years and for once things went her way, that's life.
