Zippy you beat me to it, was just about to post the links to them, how great to see more kickstart action on youtube. Made my day!!! Bosis went on to make it a double win when he also won the adults only final, this sadly turned out to be the final series. I visited the place were this was filmed last year, hasn't really changed in 20 years. Anybody know if Dougie was in this event, he came so close to winning junior kickstart later that year.

I grew up watching the steve colley videos /dvds very good fun to watch and you can learn allot from the man too. seeing him jumping off a double decker bus on one video was pretty good. Would recommend them to anyone, novice or expert.

you are thinking of "Kickstart" which ran on the BBC between 1979 and 1988. chances are you saw the 1982 final which is currently on youtube. yes ive been watchin it too, they have some good things on that staion, personaly i like the Hill Climb show they put on around the same time, often at 4pm each day.

Have to agree with you, the motors tv coverage is awful, the commentator clearly reading form a script and has never seen a trials bike in his life. Plus the picture quality from the first round in Marseille made it even worse. And yes what exactly is a fiasco??? Obviously a 5, but why not just say that. However do not worry as eurosport are also showing all the indoor events, the Barcelona trial was on tuesday night with the decent jack burnicle commentary. He does allot of stuff for them , superbikes, trials, moto x, enduros and is good at them all, top bloke!! Not a big fan of the american trials they are showing on "xleague tv". All seems to be pretty much the same thing, one rock step followed by another. Not quite the diversity that we have hear in Britain.

I always ride with one finger on each lever. Was always told that the more fingers you have on the levers the less control you have over the bike, which is true. Have tried different ways but it didnt feel right.

Just checked my sky box and the eurosprt site and it says 10:30, thursday 31st thats asuming that it is shown of course, as you say last nights was replaced with the monte carlo WRC.

Raydon is my practice ground as well, just over the road from me, Ipswich MCC have an event there on the 10th Feb. Castle Colchester club are running a national trial around the colchester, braintree area in a couple of weeks, should be good fun to go and watch. Good luck with everything.

Yes there are two on the gas gas as well, i should know as i snapped both of them last month, not good. That ment a last minute dash to the local dealer the night before an event. Have to look back and laugh now i guess.
