  1. So if you rang Carol Nash (as I did) to insure a bike for competing in road trials. They do not offer this?? I told them specifically what I was after and they quoted me. Am I/they missing something here?
  2. Results be the same??? NO WAY if it was not for the Uber special HRC machines Adam Raga would have ran away with everything in the last 4-5 years, with Cabestany 2nd and probably Lampkin 3rd on sheer determination, will and experience with Bou and Fuji fighting for 4th and 5th. Bou went from 5th in 2006 on 'factory' Beta to run-away 1st in 2007 and a BIG factor in that has to be HRC and the ultra exotic engine, suspension, frame and other mods they can place on the tailor built bikes. Anyway, back to the thread, I feel it is critical for Scorpa to have visibility in the WTC. They may have a good customer base in the UK but what about trials other biggest markets: US, Spain, Italy - seeing a top level rider in a world championship event in these countries and riding well on a Scorpa must help with sales. It's all marketing and Scorpa need to market themselves as a manufacturer whose bikes can compete at the very highest level as well as local, national level
  3. The 08 colour schemes are going to be black and white on the TRW team. This is why Alexz and James are in the B&W Jitsie gear. Official launch is soon
  4. Not for sale no more, went and saw it the other week and picking up after Sheffield. Wasn't sure about colour when Julian told me about it but in the fles it looks great.... Cant wait!

  6. Yea but sadly, the Spanish have big numbers of up and coming juniors who will get more financial support from the Spanish Federation so not much will change
  7. Hi, you cannot get a trials bike under house insurance as it is a motor vehicle - you could get a
  8. NO NO NO They are not bad at all. I have had 6 Gassers ranging from 1994 250 up to 2004 Raga Rep They have all been absolutely fine. All I would recommend is after every wash - cover in WD40 then check all the nuts/bolts/screws etc etc - I never even had any problems with the airboxes. Cleaned it out other 2-3 trials and thats it. I agree with Scorpa3 they have had problems in the past (2002 when the revolutionary TXT Pro came out) however they are now as good as anyone in 2 stroke trials. Every manufacturer has problems - PERIOD I now ride a Beta and cant say it's any better built than my Raga Rep PLUS they are the easiest bike to ride by far - GO FOR IT
  9. Bit of an update and a request for help. This is what we know so far and just how utterly USELESS the police have been. I found out who stole the bike and roughly where it was sold to. The bike was nicked by some chavvy scumbags in Fishermead (god awful estate in Milton Keynes) and sold to a guy 'near Aylesbury' My request is for anyone involved in trials or off road bikes or finding sh*t bags that buy nicked bikes and living/riding in and around - Aylesbury / Leighton Buzzard / Luton / Bicester / Thame / Oxford etc etc could you please keep your eyes open for a 2004 Montesa 315R???? I am aware that you can easily disguise a Montesa to hide it's age, however this one has the following unique items : Most Noticeably Keihin Carb Carbon Fork & Exhaust Protectors Red Solid Billet Cushion Link Aluminum Coil Cover Also the rear mudguard sticker is back to front Right now onto the utterly useless police force. As above, I managed to find out who took the bike so told the police the guys name, address and even how he knew the bike was there. This was just over 2 weeks ago and they HAVE'NT EVEN BEEN ROUND TO HIS HOUSE YET!!!! He is a known bike & car thief and when 'some people' went round to see the sh*t bags they put their 7 months pregnant sister in between them - NICE GUYS After 4+ weeks of chasing the police and getting voicemails and no calls returned I am starting to wander if it was even worth ringing them. One time I was transferred to his mobile he said he would have to call me back as they were - QUOTE "after some kids who are riding their BMX's on the pavement" Of course the callback didn't come for 2 more days - Obviously way too busy chasing kids or giving fines to people doing 31mph in a 30 zone. So there you go, short of me actually retreiving the bike for them there is actually VERY little more I can do for the police..................... Does anyone konw what/how we can go about complaining about this???? Anyway, back to the Montesa 315R - If anyone is out and about in the above area's and know any pits etc etc where people ride bikes could you please keep your eyes open and let me know?? Also, if you know of area's where people ride off road bikes could you let me know so that we can go over there and have a look?? Hopefully we can get the bike back - Although we will probably get in trouble with the police if we take it back................................ T0SSERS!
  10. I thought Shaun was given Jeroni Fajardo's bike / trick parts allocation from the factory this year.
  11. I think we have seen every other manufacturers bike for next year - are they building up the tension??

    World Domination

That is the main point here - The 'factory' Monts are 100% factory specials down to almost every last part Heard that the rear shocks were worth around
  13. Who's this? No dont think he did, not that he'd remember anyway.... Nick
  14. Cheers Mick, have edited post to show coil cover
  15. Good call on the ad, will have a go with that. We will be going around some of the less desirable estates in MK to have a nose as well as some known places for bikes!
  16. My dads garage was broken into early hours of this morning - around 01:40 and his 2004 Montesa 315R was stolen by some thieving little ****bags The bike is in very good condition and has a couple of non standard features - Keihin Carb Carbon Fork & Exhaust Protectors Red Solid Billet Cushion Link Aluminum Coil Cover Also the rear mudguard sticker is back to front!! The chassis number is : VTDMT03A04E320948 The engine number is : NN3E851983 The thinking is that the ****bags were quite organised and knew what they were doing. The garage was locked, Yale security bolted and has 2 alarms in............ Sadly my dad was at work, my mum (god knows how) didn't hear the alarm and their non stop barking dog slept soundly through it all. There is a reward for the return of the bike if anyone in and around Milton Keynes and South Midlands area could keep their eyes open. Ta
  17. Well he lost again so maybe he was
  18. Totally agree with Cota Kid on this - no way is world trials losing peoples interest. Sure there are less riders competing in the entire series these days due to the large financial needs of competing and travelling, but I personally agree with that. A World Championship should have only the very best 10-15 riders in the world competing - you dont see 80-90 cars in each Formual 1 race do you?? I started going to WTC rounds in the late 80's when there were lots of riders, however 99% of the crowd wanted to watch the top 10 or so riders at each section. If I was an outsider who was considering taking up trials in the late 80's / early 90's and I was watching 70 people attempt and fail a section at a W.C round and only 5-10 get anywhere near completing the section then I would think 'this is too tough' However if there are fewer riders and they are the best of the best and they are completing these sections then it makes it a more attractive proposition to a prospective new starter. I also fully agree with the Junior and Youth Championship travelling along with the W.C circus. It not only allows spectators to see the amazing talent that is emerging within trials from the UK, Spain and thankfully more French and Italian riders but it will no doubt improve those who are competing abilities and riding as they will be with the best of the best all the time and constantly learning. Sure something needs to be done with the financial side to enable the factories to offer more support to more riders, or for more private teams to set up - ideally not having rounds in Guatemala and other bizarre locations - but it wont be an instant fix.
  19. I reckon that it could heat up a bit now. For Raga, beating Bou twice in a row will be a huge boost to his confidence. Raga is at his unbeatable best when his confidence is high, when he is confident he has an air of arrogance about him which some may not like but it makes him who he is. Think Raga and Bou will again be a world apart this weekend from the support act of Cabastany, Fuji, Fajardo and Doug etc etc. I am hoping for a Raga win - will add even more excitement into the championship
  20. Main sponsors were - Michelin Castrol Domino Acerbis Am looking for the rest and will let you know.
  21. I would have thought that as it is already 2nd hand there will be no import duty on it at all. It is just another piece of your property. If you buy a new one from UK and want to import it then there may be a little duty on it, but again as you have already paid tax on the purchase price you should have no problems. Might be worth seeing how much they are new over there!! Gotta be cheaper than UK prices...................
  22. Is that the orange / grey bike??
  23. Hi, not sure if this is the right forum for this, but it is linked. I know a few people do laid up insurance for trials bikes but dont know who they are!!! I have been told that NFU do/used to do it, but everytime I have ever rung them the say categorically that they DO NOT offer insurance for trials bikes. Does anyone out there use/recommend a good insurer for my bike while it is in the garage locked up?? Seems strange that most companies will insure me to ride on the road and potentially hit a

    Beta Rev 3 Parts

Other than pulling plug lead, one good way to stop a revving bike is to disconnect the fuel pipe into the carb then (if possible) put in a high gear and try to ride it till fuel runs out - wont take long - not easy but will prevent seizing. Anyway go directly to Lampkins for bits - v fast delivery and best pricing. Good luck...
  25. Hello mate, got them from Lampkins directly. Cheers for info on jets. will get a set ordered. Nick
