    2010 Prices

With the Euro recovery you 'should' be pretty near bang on with the price, taking in mind what I wrote before about pricing and saftey factors. However as we know what should happen and what does happen are 2 VERY different things. Hopefully GGUK will accept that pricing higher will impact sales and price accordingly. GasGas Ben - with regards to the Raga Rep - and I have written this on the forum before - they are MASSIVELY overpriced this year (in my opinion) and I think this is being proved by the fact that there are still bikes available. The Raga Reps used to be

So does this mean that you think Trials UK guessing prices? Or are they there or there abouts?

    2010 Prices

There is no reason why these shouldn't be right, would only be down to people wanting extra money from each bike sale that the price would need to change. Gas Gas are a business and as such they know their production costs and they know what price they need to hit to earn the percentage profit they need to cover opex etc etc so they will know the price of the 2010 bike. Last year prices went sky high as Gas Gas and Gas Gas UK wanted to protect themselves (understandably) from the currency changes on the GB Pound and Euro - they are in business after all and need to continue making money. As a result they will have factored in a nice saftey barrier in the increase to cover a 'worst case' issue. Thankfully the Pound / Euro exchange never got to disaster levels and as such both parties (and all other manufacturers) will have done quite nicely on any bikes sold at these prices in 2009. So by seemingly only adding

    2010 Prices

Well done to Gas Gas if these are the prices then that is not too much of a jump on 09 prices. Bear in mind though that prices shot up by about
  6. Not looking quite as good in the 'in the flesh' photo's as it does on the factory shot. Still looking damn fine though. Glad I did not bother with the Raga rep.. If Dherbey have them does this mean the are en-route to the UK soon?? Any idea's when new prices will be revealed?
  7. All seems quiet on this.. Anyone know if it is still happening?
  8. I would have been on the phone first thing Monday morning for a replacement. Pedronicman - let us know how you get on.
  9. thats about bang on. Raga broke a couple of the magnesium one's as did Wiggy (when he was on Gas Gas obviously!) and possibly a few other top boys. As a result Raga and Alexz went back to the standard swinging arms. Was only ever really an issue for top riders when hitting BIG stuff or on major drops. This shouldn't happen but would not affect 99.9% of riders who had a magnesium swinging arm. From the sounds of this though it would seem that this broke without hitting something major or from a big drop. This would appear to me to be a manufacturing imperfection or error and should be replaced FOC (and with apologies) regardless of Gas Gas UK's slightly illegal 6 month warranty.. Has this been replaced yet?? would be interesting to see what Shirty said about this. Please advise
  10. Assume you mean 2008 Raga as it has the red frame rather than the new snazzy gold one... Hope GG replaced without too many queries!
  11. Then the UK riders would supposedly have 2 bites of the cherry! Not gonna make fcuk all difference in the scheme of things is it though? WTC - Bou or Raga will win wherever they ride JWTC - Wiggy winning everything wherever he rides YWTC - Jonathan Richardson winning everything wherever he rides Why not fly to a non UK round probably cost you less and you will see how other countries embrace the events - shutting down village centres and making an event of it for the locals etc etc

    '09 Raga

Yea seen the spec and it's good, looks awesome too and have no problems with GG wanting to make money - they are in business after all. My point is that I cant see where GG or GGUK have come up with that price - apart from the fact that GGUK will no doubt use the 'exchange rates' excuse. Whats the betting that when the exhange rates get back in line that the prices dont drop too quickly..... PLUS when the rates do get better paying

    '09 Raga

Great! so basically the message to GG and GGUK is - so long as it looks nice with some different shiny stickers and some extra parts on please charge me

Did I read right that the new Raga rep is going to be

    09 Pro 300cc

From my experience I would always go with the 300 but depends on what you like. 280cc - more revvy and instant and a bit top endy 300cc - has more low down grip/grunt/torgue without being over revvy and has a smoother power supply. Although 300 can wear on the arms after a long day. This is my opinion on the bikes but like I say depends on what you like and how you ride. Why not a 250cc? - would be ideal bike for 99% of riders
  16. Legend! could'nt get there so busting to see it. All set to record now - happy viewing
  17. Is that where the WTC round was in 1987? great venue (from memory) so should be good. When is it??
  18. First and probably last time I will agree with Dabster but he is bang on with thies response. Neither crash had anything to do with the rules in any way. Bou's crash caused by bike problem Fuji's caused by badly placed tree - blame god for that one Both of these could have happened if riding no-stop. Anyway WTC is def better for having current rules (in my opinion) and anyway how would having 'mud and slippery stuff that riders dont like' help anyone other than You Tube who would get vids of riders covered in ****e and sliding down a hill on their @rse! 21st Century now guys and this is how the WTC is. A lot more technical and skillful
  19. What about full results for not so hot riders who's score probably starts with a '5' or a '6' or maybe even a '7' Does anyone know where there are any?? Ta
  20. Yes this is normal ran out a few times in road trials on my old 07 300. The large tank is great but very unsightly!! might be worth looking at the new number board fuel tanks instead.
  21. Cheers for that Munch. What is the cost of a standard 250cc nowadays?? If the first number is anything other than a '4' then dont think I'll bother, especially as you dont get the Keihin carb or Ohlins shock anymore.... Please can someone strengthen the pound??
  22. Hi, am getting tempted by the new bike, any idea's how much they are in 250 / 280 / 300 guise?? Dont want to ring dealer as heart will take over and I'll order one...... Anyone got one on order yet?
  23. Jeez! Is it possible for anyone to say anything to you ever without it being turned into you argueing the case or an unrelated case?? I know the answer but anyway - I was not criticising I said "I think the reason they dont ride" I dont know the reasons and was only trying to answer a question that was not aimed at you and my response was not aimed at you and yet straight away you rare up for a row. BTW I do agree with you - riders should be punished for using vans etc on a road trial. And no, at this time I am not able to give up what free time I have on a Saturday to help mark out a trial. I work Saturday mornings and have a young family who I quite like to see and spend time with - which I assume is still not a crime even to you! Maybe when I am your age I will be in a position to give something back to my sport................ Unless of course it's an event you are involved in, in which case I would probably stay away for fear of you turning a simple 'good morning' into some kind of row!
