  1. Dont think there is ANYWHERE in Milton Keynes since they lost the ground years back. I believe Buzzards secured new ground but that was about 3 years ago and nothing happened.....

No it's a load of old c0ck from the past about the gassers, especially engine wise. I would say from past experience that they are pretty much bullet proof in the engine. The only area I personally ever had concerns with was fasteners & bolts etc etc coming loose and needing checking / re-tightening but this was on late 90's early 2000's bikes not the current crop. As someone else mentioned, look after the bike, keep it clean and WD40 over the bike when washed and and the Gasser will be superb and look after you. If you neglect it then yes you could have issues. Nothing is great including Beta's (sadly) which STILL leak fuel and expire stators on a regular basis. At least Gas Gas rectify problmes

Hang on, is there some unwritten law that Dabster MUST ride the same bike as Alexz Wigg in order to pass him a water bottle??
  4. Hi all Just had my renewal through from Carole Nash and it has gone up I know that there are a few companies offering insurance for trials bikes but not sure who. Could you please advise who does insurance (other than Carole Nash) for road registered bikes?? Thanks
  5. So does this mean the stators are not ****ty Slovakian ones anymore?? Has anyone had/seen the new ones leaking fuel?? There does not seem to be any definitive replies...

Sounds like an improvement!! Betcha you aint got results yet though!!
  7. Hi. Thinking about maybe getting an Evo. Can anyone confirm if Beta have got rid of their biggest problems and 1: fixed the fuel leakage issues 2: sorted out the stators so you dont need to keep replacing Ta

Good god, I doubt it...... Berkhamsted take 1-2 weeks to send results at any time of the year, so over the New Year period suspect you'll get results in April How was it anyway? did they make you ride through a puddle in 10 different directions like normal?? Not a bad bit of ground, sadly the 3 times I have been there they seemed to ignore good bits of ground and make people 1: get their bikes covered in sh*t over the back of the field and 2: ride through the above mentioned puddle. Shame cos you had some good sections there too.
  10. With the best will in the world I think the best Doug can hope for is 5th and that depends on his form on the day and how good Pune is on the Sherco!
  11. The time is nearly upon us for Sheffield and the start of the 2009 ITWC season. So, what's the reckoning for Saturday? the season ahead?? For my money it's gonna be a 2 horse race with 'maybe' only Fajardo 'possibly' stealing a win from the big 2. I think that if Raga can win on Saturday, he could retake his crown although he is going to need to be on it big time every minute of every trial to stop Bou. My bet - 1: Raga 2: Bou 3: Caba/Fajardo
  12. Hi all Am I going a little mental here? Seen home page of website saying giant TV Screen at Sheffield. I am pretty sure that we were expecting a screen there last time round as well... So should we actually expect one this year?? PS: I am not dreaming am I? There was one due last time round wasn't there??
  13. Good call, if you want to stop, hop etc do it (if you can) if you dont then dont - SIMPLE! I know riders that will stop, hop/correct then ride on and still get beaten by better riders who ride non stop. Anyone who has seen people like Mick Andrews ride, knows you dont need to stop, but give people the option!!!!

Was always advised to use Dexron III ATF which I did and never had any problems. Know most of the top GG riders also use this.
  15. Slight contradiction there - fair play in one line, then give a Spanish rider a 5 in the next..... Pure patriotism will naturally encourage ANYONE to be more forgiving with a home rider. Not saying letting people off but being more forgiving.
  16. Sorry meant crack top 3 in 2009, already got 4th this year making him Beta No1 rider in 2008 and for 2009.
  17. Fajardo will be staying at Beta for 2009, it's almost certain now. Reckon he could crack top 4 next year - CAT AMONGST THE PIGEONS time!!

I think that looks mega - when new and shiny........... not so sure when it's been used a bit though!

Have you spoke to Gas Gas yet? They 'should' cover this. I may be wrong here and dont want any legalities thrown at me, however under EU law 'any' motorvehicle sold should by law have at least 12 months warranty on it. Obviously Gas Gas UK (not sure if you are in UK or not) only give a rather cr@ppy 6 months. I would call them directly and ask the question, then depending on the answer take it from there - you may be pleasantly surprised.
  20. anyone seen results yet?? loads wetter than normal, but at least it was fryish on the day. Still a great day out
  21. Sincere apologies to all involved. At no point was I looking to anger or confuse anyone involved with the trial or anyone on the forum. I was not trying to speculate! I was merely asking the question whether the email I had seen was correct and am very happy to see that it was not. Apologies to Graham Harrison and Birmingham MCC
  22. Was just about to send my entry off when I heard on email that it has been cancelled for safety reasons...... anyone know if this is 100% and if so any idea what the safety reasons are?? cheers
  23. From my limited knowledge it is the importer that makes a bucket load more cash than the dealer on the bikes (am sure that any importers on the forum will tell you otherwise). But I know a dealer who says he only make
  24. WHAT? Fajardo is Dabills competitor - along with Freixa Dont believe 'hop blip and a jump' was wanting Fajardo to better than Browny - probably just stating a fact : Fajardo WILL beat Browny Fajardo was approached by Gas Gas again before the end of the 07 season, he said no as he is settled at Beta. They have personnel working with Fajardo phycologically as a lot of his inconsistencies are to due his head rather than his ability. Doug will be a HUGE boost for Fajardo and Beta and will bring out the brilliant best of Fajardo. There are now 4 groups in the top 10-12 riders 1: Bou & Raga - You can virtually guarantee that at nearly every round 1st and 2nd will be these 2 2: Fuji, Cabestany, Doug - You can virtually guarantee that at nearly every round 3rd, 4th, 5th will be out of these 3 riders 3: Fajardo, Freixa, Dabill - You can virtually guarantee that at nearly every round 6th, 7th, 8th will be out of these 3 riders 4: the rest - Oliveras, Bruand, Bethune, Maurino, Brown, Pasquet
  25. Cheers, is there anywhere more local - Leighton Buzzard or Aylesbury where off roaders ride? Local pits etc etc - he has no mode to transport bike yet!!
