  1. Entries for Bootle this year are riders setting off in respective classes D,C,B and then A so locals dont get all the late numbers and the pre 75s get the sections scrubbed in. A local clubmember is number one so there is no favouritism. Ten sections out of becks and ten in becks Yes the old favorite avalanche alley is in because people ask for it, but we do put different sections in each year. Like always you cannot satisfy everyone but we try. we have 125 entries so we must be doing something right. Bootle scrambles club is a club with a small commitee of hard working indivduals if anyone would like to sling a bag of flags on their back and have some input they would be more than welcome. Also the roads are the same length south to north as they are north to south for us 10 to 12 mile lap all off road of fell going and yes the fells are bl***y wet. See you all there
  2. yep i will be there No 27. Not looking forward to the 5am get up though.
  3. Shieldsy swapped the bult for a majesty after 3 rounds of the series and his results improved . Bad luck for us
  4. I bought some falcons for my TLR last july cost me
  5. No i think they are the standard ones. It is a 1985 model and the footrest have the same fixing in the manual book i have for it, also my mates tlr 200 has the same fixings. Hebo footrests did not sit at the right angle when i tried them and were to long they would need the backs cut off them t-shock 250 - How are yours fixed or have you modified them?
  6. Diggler i missed the big get off, may we have a repeat performance. 52 times per year should do it.
  7. In my opinion it was far too hard for the clubmen. saturday was good, there was plenty marks lost but the sections were not dangerous and most were cleanable. But sunday was hard work from the start and the afternoon was a complete joke. I think it should be set out like the manx 2 day.
  8. pb, me 52 i hope. also going modern for the weekend
  9. Yep number came through today no 137. start praying for dry weather.
  10. t-shock the entries are in and campsite booked, see you there.

    Tlr 200 Forks

I use 295cc in each leg of A.T.F in my TLR 200 find it better than 5wt.
  14. Yep had a go as always. Must say i thought it was a far better event. There was 22 new sections and only two i have ridden before (not bad out of 20 alans). No boring road work, lots of fell going, best of all no police in sight. Very well done to Gary Bingley and his gang for an excellent event.
  15. Like t-shock 250 i got told they were selling for

    Scorpa 175 4st

I heard he put a hole in the top of the piston going braying down the road, is that why it went back in the box?

    Tlr 200

I use a 200 in the classic rounds and it is very reliable and fun to ride. when i need parts i use sandifords or birkettmotorsport both very reasonable and prompt service. But as t-shock has said very rarely need parts but must change the oil reguarly i use silkolene 4t. Birks sells some trick clutch plates for the 200 to stop the on /off feel of the originals.
  19. That was my mates bike. Birks has done the porting and carb stuff on that. Birks and kev seward (works for Birks)were at the welsh with us have a word with them at next round.
  20. Thanks marky G. i agree it was a very good trial. that ride to the last section was cold, even colder since our mate ran out of petrol sat there in the rain filling him up out of other bikes. Askie i least i went. never in a lifetime will i get to the front. are you going to enter the next one in three week
  21. Anybody know any results from saturdays welsh trophy trial?
  22. Send it to Birks. Top man for yams. Ring 01229 716806

    Shifter Adjustment

Had the same problem on a ty 175. It was the fork not going far enough to turn the selector drum. the gears would hook up alright but it wouldnt push it far enough to go into first. Adjust the fork as described in the manual and it should solve the problem it did mine
  24. Are you sure you have not got a leaky tank Mike. I didnt fill up the honda 200 on the D.K.Mansell and it only took 2.5 litres to fill it for the next trial. Better take some round in a bottle with you at Bootle.
