I have ridden birks's own bike it certainly is great to ride. it finds grip incredebly well and is good up becks just goes where you point it and doesn't spit off the rocks. it is a cable clutch on it but it is nice and light. Watch out for the new version!!!!!

Ive got a TLR 200 had it for four years now and it has been very reliable. Parts for it are easy to get but rarely needed. I use mine for twinshock trials and also setting events out so it get a lot of work. I have put a wes exhaust on it which has helped the power. It isnt as powerful as the 250 of course but i find it easier to ride in the tight twinshock sections but still has enough power to pull third up hillclimbs. I also put a 250 tank and seat on it which was kindly sold to me by t-shock250, you just have to alter the front tank fixings to make it fit but the seat goes straight on.

Has anybody got an original tlr 250 tank and seat they want to sell?

Does anyone know where we can get TLR one piece tank and seat units from. they are an aluminium tank with fibreglass cover.

ive rode it for a lot of years. usually all becks and on the easy side now a days. depends what severity trial you want but its a long way from edinburgh. im thirty miles away and its not worth the travel.

i agree with t-shock 250 for normal going. i usually drop each down a pound when its really muddy.

i put pro 4 silkolene in my 200 runs like a sewing machine with no problems at all

ive got a mate who works in the shipyard made one for my dads 200 real neat job. sold the bike locally so could probably borrow the plate to make another one. he may have made a spare. cant get in touch with him just at the moment but will post further news

no not at all i just remember how well the engine performed to when it was a 200. youve got to admit birks knows his stuff.

I live at the same area dave blowers does and apart from a couple of 02 models going wrong the other people in the area are delighted with their pros,and a lot of others are changing to them. P.S david are you getting a back hander of wreny for trying to promote scorpas and slag other makes off. (stick to rugby)

Nigel Birkett at Birkettmotosport is the man to see abpout the engine tuning and has just bought loads of majesty parts from shirty. i had a 200cc one and when the barrel couldnt be reboered any more i got a 175 barrel and birks ported and tweaked it and it was far superior to the 200 version and a lot less rattley. ring birks on 01229716806
