Hi, Its right hand thread,ideally you need a tool to hold the basket from the outside,NOT buy the fingers on the inside!!! If you can not get your hands on a tool,an impact gun is the only other way. Regards Benz

Hi Masso! sorry ive have been a bit vague,been busy )) A frame lug is the metal bracket on the frame that the sub frame screws to. On my bike the BOTTOM sub frame lug on frame,kick start side,hade been removed. This means you only have to remove 4 screws undo the carb rubber and slide subframe and airbox and silencer off in one,very easy )) Hope this helps?? Mods that have been carried out are as follows............. 1) sump guard trimmed on water pump side 2) frame modified so complete rear end,airbox and silencer come off by just removing 4 screws and undo carb rubber 3) thermostate repositioned into water pipe coming from cylinder head 4) beta throttle spring in carb to make throttle lighter 5) larger AJP clutch master cylinder,much lighter than standard 6) carb has been set up by Birkett but as yet i do not know jet sizes 7) reed bloke has been modified,again by Birkett,again i have yet to investigate Benz

Just bought a piece of history!! I have an 09 Scorpa sy250 2t,factory prepaired and obviously the last one with the Jap engine!! Im led to believe that there were only 30 of these made,i know they are not a revolution of the 08 bike but thought it would be nice to own one :-) Im a Gasgas man normaly and also have a 09 250 Pro,but thought i would give the Scorpa a try as it looks beautiful and built to last,unlike some other makes which turn out to be made of recycled coke cans :-) Benz

Im still with 11/42,will try a 10,but i feel the 250 is a little sharp of the bottom as it is,and my way of thinking is putting a 10 on the front will make it worse? Im trying to climb the trials ladder as fast a possible,road racing background make me a competitive old sod! so i would rather have a bike set up for intermediate/expert level and learn to ride it,rather than set a the bike up for a novice and learn to ride it twice? (once as novice and then learn a new bike at expert level) Im toying with the idea of a 300,as i know they have bags of power,but they seem so soft off the bottom,you never need to come off the pilot jet and they will jump up anything! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I agree,i run 11 42 also. Think if you learn to control bike with the standard gearing it will benefit in the long run. Also its much better for road trials and long sections. Benz

There are lots of different views on what gearing people use on the Pro trials bike,im talking common bike,250,280 and 300,not 125 and 200s. One view is to use a 10 tooth on the front rather than the standard 11 to slow down over all speed in the section...........................BUT as reducing the size of the front sprocket increases acceleration does this mean the bike is more likely to spin up easier??? Just thought i would start a pole to see peoples views and to give others some insight?? Cheers Benz

You may find its the extra weight of the 4t pushing the front,the 4ts are heavier up front,allot of people who go 4t motox bikes after 2t have the same issue with loosing the front due to the extra weight and engine push. Benz

then you have nothing to worry about!! Gasgas pros do not have you normal clutch set up. They do not have 6 coil springs in the clutch basket,they have a circular ring of FINGERS like a car cluch,which when they have no presssure on them,ie clutch out,they rattle,as soon as you pull in clutch and put pressure on the Fingers the rattle stops Benz

does the rattle go when you pull the clutch in?

Hopefully getting a 2010 125 to convert to 225,just wondering if anyone with any 2010 gasgas has any reports yet?? Cheers
