Ok,another twist on the 225........... Could you use a 125/200 crank in a 250???? Afterall,the 225 kit is a standard 250cc piston with a 250 barrel which has had the deck hieghts changed,or to put it simpler,has been machined top and bottom to get desired port timing. Any body got any thoughts or can confirm the above thoughts?? CHEERS!

Well,i got to have a go on Factory Kev's 225 today!!!! Its was very impressive,cleanist carburating bike i have every rode,trials that is!! Power is soft,yet it revs high but is very linear with no rushes or surges of power......................... Feels like you could ride the bike hard and it wont drag you thru the section if you get it wrong,i would imagine it would give you more time? Power is ample for most,even at expert level,tho it may struggle in the hands of a top rider trying indoor size stuff! Well done Kev,think ill start to build one as a winter projeect? Benz

Any more updates with this 225 kit as am curious about putting one on an 08 125 racing? More feed back as to how people are finding them would be great. A comparison to an 08 250 gasgas would be good as ive tested one of these. Cheers Benz

YES,same bottom end,different ignition,but fundamentaly (not sure thats spelt correctly?) the same!

So,09 Gasgas 2 stroke are out,Beta and others are showing there 09 models,so,where is the 4 stroke Gasser????????????? Anybody have any gossip,ideas when it will be out or if we will even see it this year??? Benz

I wonder how much imput Mr Lampkin has had to the whole design of this bike? After all,after riding for Montesa,who must surely have the largest research and development facilaties and buget,it was a clever move of Beta to make sure thay got him,maybe not fot his riding ability but for what was in his head with regards to the mighty Monts?! Hi, A friend of mine has a 08 290 and has had trouble with the fork on the end of the selector shaft. Aparently the fork is a different material to the shaft,one is harder that the other but i cant remember which one is which,the fault is the weld that holds fork to the shaft is not very good because of the two different materials. My friend has had his go twice,i think Sherco importers are aware and very helpful i believe?? Benz

Hi all,just traded my 05 4rt for an 08 Rev 4!!!! Not had time to do much on her yet but am looking forward to first practice this weekend! Anyone got any pointers or tips,mods or upgrades,not in any hurry change anything but some experenced info is always welcome. My bike is totally standard. Also is there a manual for the 4t as my did not come with one?? Cheers Benz

Anyone got any fuel figures for a 112 vito? I have a 2001 Vito 112,is perfect size for two bikes and all your gear,and they drive like a car,plus mine has done 190,000!!! But i must admit they are not that good on the old diesel i feel? I get 500 miles to a tank,75 litres,abd thats if i drive at below 70 on motorway which is allot of my drivin to and from trials,and drivin it so the turbo does not kick in round town. If i drive with my heavy boots on,90 on motorway and quick town drivin i get 430miles to a tank! Anyone else monitored there Vito MPG?? Benz

Im still strugglin with the price of these things,i guess we are paying for huge research and development costs. Be interesting to see how much S3 are going to be charging for there 300cc kit as that must include some items for the cylinder head as the standard head can not cope with such an increase in volume??

Just to bring this topic back to life...................................... The S3 280 cc kit is now available in the UK,anyone got any plans to get one? Or has anyone tried the Thumper racing 272 kit?? Benz

Like any bike,its always a good idea to buy as later model as you can afford,07 is your best bet as have a better/softer cam shaft,better clutch. And dont be put of by so called DEALERS,its a case of finding a good one,pm me for more info. Ive had lots of help from a dealer,yes ive bought stuff from him,but he has advised and helped me way more than others would have,plus he knows what he is talkin about and doesn sell you stuff you dont need!
