Anyone know where the cheshire youth trial is Tomorrow. its not got a venue in the CNW website
  2. I`ve just watched a programme aired on Channel 4 about the bunkum about global warming. The main parts were :- 1. Co2 levels were not the cause of global warming, they are a product of it. 2.humans do cause CO2, but its only 5% of the total output of the worlds CO2, the others being volcanoes, water vapour etc. amongst others 3. The earth goes through cycles of warm and cold but it doesnt drastically melt the polar icecaps nor does it boil the seas. 4. The media needs to get more dramatic stories from the main story over a period of time, what I mean is , if a reporter gives us this story about global warming, and shows us what it`ll be like in 50yrs if we dont cut our Co2 , he cant keep giving the same story, so he looks around for something more dramatic to give on the back of his first story. 5.The only people giving us these warnings are "The Media" and certain govt departments, Most scientists know the truth, and that is, that the earth is getting warmer, it has for the past 40 yrs but its all natural. 300 yrs ago the Uk had a thriving grape growing indusry because of the warm period. Then it went through a cold period...cold enough for the Thames to freeze over with ice thick enough to have Fairs and stalls on it. Cut our CO" emmisions ........not because of global warming ......there must be another reason they want us to do it. Is it because it will gradually wean us off fossil fuel because its going to run out a lot sooner than originally thought ...say 12 yrs from now , I wonder
  3. Billy . Have you ever read (or seen DVD) of any of Jerry Brunetti`s work "food as medicine". I got his DVD a while ago but havent got round to watching it yet. Anything useful in it to note.... does it follow what your saying ??
  4. Hi Billy . I`ve sent you some Emails and have not received a reply. Are you on holiday ???
  5. I`ve had a rack for years and found it very convenient for my limited storage. The downside was the damage my bike did to my car when I hit a bump in the road when I was on my way to the first TC trial. It was solid on left or right turns, but forwards and backwards it could move about a bit. I have bought my eldest a TY80 and need to cart the 2 bikes around now, but cannot afford to have a van sitting on the driveway for 6 days a week, so have designed and built a trailer that I can take apart easily and store easily. It can take 2 bikes side by side, or one bike in the middle. If I was building another one though, I would make one or 2 "mods" to make it even quicker to put together and take apart again. Only thing I`ve got to do now, is learn to reverse the bloody thing. It does help that its not that long, only about 2foot longer than my bike all told. I am quite at ease now when driving now because nohing bothers it and I can put my foot down a bit more and its no effort for the car to pull, not like the rack, having to check the road ahead for any dips and bumps to prevent any movement of the bike and checking my rear view mirror every 10 seconds. As for getting changed, couldnt you do that in the car , with the seat pushed all the way back?
  6. Not much help I`m sorry, but I used to have a 98 Techno, and I had the same problem with the front forks as you. you`re right about the damping screw, I found that it didnt seem to do a lot when screwed either way. I also found the forks quite stiff, no matter where the spring tension adjuster was. I unscrewed it as far out as possible, but it didnt really help. I was told that the springs are supposed to get softer as they get older but mine didnt. Maybe they were like that from new, I wouldnt know about that because mine was a few years old when I bought it.
  7. Did you get my PM Billycraig ?
  8. Billycraig I`m after a bit more help. I`ve tried different diets with only one being semi successful, the rest being unsuccessful. I need to shift 1 and 1/2 stone to get to my "ideal" weight but.... I cant get my head around whats best to eat, some people say fresh fruit and veg, others say eat more meat but vary the types. Is it more protein less carbs ? Or just eat more fresh fruit and veg? just avoid high glycemic foods ? because I`m unsure of whats the best diet for me, who do I go and see, is it a nutritionist(sp) ??? to get tested ?
  9. Billycraig This is a very interesting read and taking on more water during the day is something that I have been trying to do over the past couple of months. I have also been trying something else that I read about, and that is eating uncooked food (ie:- salad stuff , coleslaw, fruit and raw carrots) . From what you have been saying though, is that I may be eating to many raw foods and not enough meat. So is the ideal diet a lot of the "Atkins" diet, with a small amount of raw fuit and veg thrown in mixed with copious amounts of clean water.? Would this diet be good even when not doing to much excercise during the week and only riding on a sunday. ???? I`m sorry there are a few questions, but I have been reading a lot of books about different diets lately, and everyone of them seems to contradict what the other says...less meat, more veg , more meat less veg ...carbs versus protein . I did try the "Atkins" last year, and lost a stone in a month, but had no energy and seemed to have lost muscle mass aswell as fat, this was while I was doing quite a bit of excercise all the way through. hope you can help

    Hebo Pegs

I`ve got a 315r and have recently bought and fitted some Hebo footpegs. They make a big diffrence to grip compared to my old worn standard ones and are a bit wider, but, I have noticed that when I kick my bike over, the kickstart catches on the footpeg and sometimes gets stuck. Although it obviously doesnt stop the bike from firing up, it is quite annoying and is causing damage to the kickstart lever, I`m not sure if any internal damage is being done. Anyone else had this problem? if so , what did you do to solve the problem....apart from buying new pegs
  11. Hey, you`ve nicked my line there
  12. I had trouble getting up the stairs saturday night . I hate being a passenger in a car , I would never handle being one on a Trials bike ....how scary is that
  13. Thats her on phototrial....2nd and 3rd down. there were better shots of her on eurosport though... ..mmmmmmmm .....nice
  14. I`ve only watched the last couple of yrs, so have no idea what it used to be like yrs ago . From what I`ve seen though , it hasnt really changed over the 2 yrs or so All the silly tests they do are not done properly and favour Clarkson every time.
  15. Just seen it after sky plusing it earlier... WOW . did you see that bird with the black thong and see thru skirt on terrible ride by Doug in the final by the way
  16. Using fossil fuels to produce hydrogen isnt right is it ..From what i read the other night , demand for oil will outstrip supply in about 10-12 yrs 15 at the very best scenario and coal soon after. That means the price will obviously rise and demand will fall so production falls and the price stays high. Oil will still be around till 2050 but in very limited supply Who do you think has been buying patents for ideas using alternative fuels....the oil companies, so that they still have the power over what we can have for them to make money on. Whatever idea they`ve got planned , you can bet the govt will heavily tax it somehow fusion powered trials bike anyone ?
  17. I`m starting to get back riding after a few months off and I only go on weekends so dont know if anyone goes during the week .I`d imagine they do though ....just one tip for anyone who has never been before, make sure you pay up at the house before you leave if you dont see the owner around the parking area.He told me the other day ,that he does clock cars and reg numbers and was waiting for a particular car or van to turn up after not paying a few weeks previous.

    315r Clutch

My clutch is like a switch , its either engaged or not. I have tried different oils but none seem to make a difference. Recently its started to make a squeal type noise sometimes (not constantly) when I try and hold it in a section My last bike was a beta Techno and the clutch on that was very gradual and being a complete beginner it realy helped me , but now I`ve got this Mont I just cant get used to it. I`m only a novice rider and I find it very difficult controling the bike through tricky sections compared to the old Techno. Are all 315 clutches like this ???? I have heard about putting in cr250 plates , has anyone on here tried them , or using them ????
  19. Have you got directions to Fron Wood from Deeside robbo73 ??? I live near Buckley and fancy a change from Wern Ddu
  20. Just wondering if anyone can recommend from their personnel use, a website that has PSP screen repairs available . I have found one site , and at about
  21. What the Hell was that first 4x4 doing...He hits some parked cars and spins around 360, then carries on into a telegraph pole ,then floors it head on into a wall, before careerinG backwards into another group of parked cars. Did he/she not think of stopping after the first incident
  22. He must be "round" the bend
  23. Nice looking TY . I did the exact same thing as you jackman , except with a ty80. bought it for my eldest in what I can only call a rough a***d bodge of a restored condition. It had 3 layers of different coloured paint on the frame , even the chrome wheels were hand painted with silver metallic paint I have 95% finished it now (needs new footpegs, tank rubbers and the bottom of the forks cleaning) and he had a run out on it last week . I`m only sorry I never took any pictures of it before, during and after
  24. I was given a rack by a friend of mine and find it very easy to use . It only sticks out either side as far as my wing mirrors (do they still call them that ) so as long as they fit through , my bike will aswell . Another mate has got a trailer that he can fit 2 - bikes on , which is smallish . It only has the "A" frame and a 12" box that runs the length of the axle. The bikes sump plate sits on the box and the front wheel sits a locating place (like a rack) on the "a" frame bit. The back wheel just hangs over the back. Its a really good design and very compact for a trailer , but dont know if its a one off , or if its widely available. It could be another idea for people not sure about getting a rack , but not having enough space to store a trailer.
