  1. You in the UK Have a look at trialsbits.co.uk they only do Castrol I think, but worth a look.
  2. Whats your gut feeling? I know from personal experience / hindsight, that I should have gone with instinct.
  3. Do you get any warranty with the bike ? Dont know the dealer, what reputation do they have ?
  4. Switch the petrol off, leave it to dry out, try starting it without putting the petrol on. If it starts then put the petrol on. You will have to strip the carb to check float level etc. Should be plenty posts on here as this is not an uncommon problem. Good to get help if you havent done it before. Work in a clean area with plenty of light, you will drop something. Take your time.
  5. First thing I would rule out is the slide seating fully. Glove our the exhaust will also slow the engine down, if not kill it. Would resist the temptation to stick it in gear and kill it that way.

Interesting topic. Regarding rear end rising or falling under power, must affect grip. There is a lot of talk elsewhere of fitting longer shocks to tighten up the steering, this must upset the relationship you have mentioned for the rear end. The chain touches the top of the swinging arm on my B40, wore two groves, then bedded in. Its probably a little over engineered anyway.
  8. Might accidentally hit the horn switch in a section.
  9. bifsgasgas - your right, you cant let air out a security bolt, or blow the tyre up with it either. As I discovered last night!
  10. I will need to check the description, but the capacitor (big blue lucas) is much larger than a conventional unit. As you say, it discharges when the points close, but if the plug is out it has nowhere to go. Worked for me.
  11. Maybe the way to get the EU to lift its ban on American Beef would be to stop treating it with growth hormones, seems kind of obvious to me. If the customer doesn't want your product the way you sell / produce it, surely you change the production method ? Is this not just a back door method of banning off road bikes ?
  12. How about a new forum devoted to the above as these question appear frequently throughout various bike specific forums, and alot of the solutions are general.
  13. If he does disappear, just look up his a**, he seems to spend most of his time there. (my original comment was tongue in cheek)
  14. Didn't realize you had an artistic bent !
  15. Good point about the straps, I personally wouldn't use straps with the S type ends as they can pop off if the cars bounces.
  16. Can I for one welcome back Johnathan Ross, I hope you have had time to reflect on your wrongdoings, and are very very sorry.
  17. Yeah, the MP's are about to give themselves a 25% pension hike.

If its an Acerbis plastic tank (I think they were) a tap from a more modern Acerbis tank will probably fit, take the old one to a dealer as an example.
  19. Higher octane has less knock.
  20. Having your side stand on the right keeps the clutch out of the oil, and causes less slip when kicking over. Also try trialsbits.co.uk for parts.
  21. British bikes are a love hate kind of relationship.
