adrian i have one of yours as well and i clean mine at every air filter cleaning found out the hard way mine clogged once and made the bike ping badly,and lose power the screens are smaller than normal but it works fine

i had a scaffoid fusion about 25 years ago,my wrist is almost 80%fused now and its my throttle hand!i use a quick throttle tube,chronic pain when i over extend my20% mobility,but my bad because they will tell you to periodically go in and have it checked,which i neglected arthritis got in there and fused it.but its ok no biggy

i just cut the throttle side on mine because of the ball bearing end cap,just the width of the bearing

try a smaller main for the heck of it,i had some old school brass ferrels of different styles from the 70s we used to make our own cables and solder them with a torch,go to a honda shop and compare and improvise

the stock muffler in my opinion is not worth replacing because the funny looking contraption in front of the rear wheel is full of 20 years worth of power reducing crap,so you might as well do it right and replace the whole thing,the dep pipe is the best,because the power robbing pinch around the shock was eliminated,i vowed for the wes pipe because of cost that woke the bike up big time check out b&j racing.com its in the states though?

ok now what if you slightly moved the top shock mounts towards the tank and down a tad which would raise the rear end up and match the arc of the swing arm???the wes pipe mod is probably the best mod so far along with the xr carb really woke it up,im also in the front disk brake mode as well i cant part with this little gem their bitchen,i dont compete with it i prefer moderns but its fun

restoring a reflex and im almost done,put a honda xr100 carb on it, wes pipe ,alum wheels,fiberglass tank seat combo,does anyone or has anyone messed around with the steering geometry on these bikes it steers like a pig,also finding shocks with a 17 1/2 eye to eye center is another issue,also put on a hand compression release to eliminate breaking the hard to find kickstart levers,any tips on these babies would be cool

no mammoth is still open but half the trail system is closed,you can ride the whole park in half an hour,the place i was reffering to was bear valley where we put on events,murderers gulch has been closed for years

yeah hit the ball with a stick and walk after it,the greenies play croquet and butt darts with each other while watching birds naked,one of our trials spots up here in norcal got closed down because of scratches in the rocks and a rut!!!!! its out of control,at least its legal for them to get married now

i'll bet 10 to 1 that your spark arrestor screen is clogged solid,if thats the case it will run like a bat outta hell better

you have to clean the spark arrestor screen!,i do it at every air filter cleaning, mine clogged once lost seriuos power and caused the piston to knock luckily i figured it out in time. once a month dextron3 auto tranny fluid.and then the normal stuff
