  1. That was cool. The music eeeeehhhhhh! All the vids I have seen of Japanese riders have shown me that they are very gutsy and talented. With that statement in mind..................bigger crashes and better music
  2. WOOHOO! My very own class that means I go home with 1st place. OK I know it's not true probably would get 3rd out of 1 rider anyways. so basically the classes are like this: A---really fast, excellent riders B---Not as fast, good riders C---Slower, good enough riders Z---Wimpy scaredy cat rider Scott rode B class and would have won cuz he is good. So by that theory I think C would be a good place to start. Unless there is a JR class and I could get my butt wooped by some 11 yr olds. Is it like Trials where you can walk the course but not ride it, or is there a practice session prior to the races? I am not sure about the banquet yet.
  3. Kjax, Have you got a class for the "New to Endurocross, very slow, scared to get hurt, scared to break the bike, not very good rider"? Does sound like fun I will keep it in mind and see about schedule, money, wife's permission. Yada yada yada.
  4. It is on the left side of the engine (Flywheel side). It is a bolt that does double duty of drain plug and case bolt. This bolt is located at the bottom roughly in the center. On mine the rubber that is between the engine and skid plate is right underneath it. on edit: AAAhh I see Mr. Dave got to it before me.
  5. There is no need to collect. only one will power an entire fleet of bikes.
  6. My wonderful wife makes sure that the furnace in the garage is turned up to a very comfortable temperature when I wish to work on my bikes. This keeps me and the bike parts in the garage and not on the kitchen table or living room carpet. She either really loves me or really loves the table and carpet. A neighbor I once had rebuilt a V-8 in his living room. with complete use of an engine stand. Funniest thing I ever saw. Have known some people that have stored motorcycles in the den and living room also. I am kinda jealous actually.
  7. Heard about that one and now I got to see the video. Gotta say "no helmet" was pretty dumb.
  8. Could just go all electric. http://www.killacycle.com/ and a video in action Not sure if this really applies to this thread but hey this bike is cool and I couldn't remember if it was posted here before.

    Which Spark Plug Cap

And that is why as my cylinder gets progressively more carboned up I appropriately increase the percentage of Diesel fuel that I mix with my 50/50 93 octane and 110 octane at an 80:1 ratio of purely synthetic olive oil (going healthy here).
  10. What I meant to say was that the coverage and conversation of Knighter's actions is taking away from the coverage and conversation of the fact that Taddy kicked butt and won. If Knighter had not Ghost Rode his bike we would all be talking more about Taddy and Colton and Geoff and the various other trials riders that rode the event. Again just my opinion. Congrats to all that rode the event no matter what type of bike, although my opinion is that the trials bike is better suited for said event. Here is a speculation: How different would the race have been if the top 3 guys were riding trials bikes. They got those positions because they is real good. How much better would they have ridden if on trials bikes?
  11. I only get water in mine when my bike and I go for a swim in a Canadian stream. Was quite refreshing.
  12. That's the thing He was not thinking just reacting. Just my opinion. And look at all the press he gets for it too. Really takes away from the great accomplishment of Taddy's win.
  13. OK I will give it a go to try and explain the exceedily amature technique that I use. Bear in mind the tallest thing I have splatted is about 3.5 to 4 ft. good kicker is needed placed on ground same distance as obstacle is tall. (so I am told) first few times give yourself plenty of run at it. Not so much to build speed as just to feel comfortable, as you approach the kicker, rev the engine, compress the suspension (get down on it) as you bring your body up, this begins to "spring" the suspension up ---dump the clutch. The entire time you are doing this look at a point ABOVE the obstacle, do not look at the leading edge of it. when the rear tire hits the face of the obstacle absorb the impact with your legs, lean forward a tad, and pull in the clutch. At this point you will either "clean" the splatter and be on top of said obstacle or sitting on the skid pan. Either way you ain't falling back down. also good to have a catcher just in case you don't make it. And they can give you a hard time if you don't make it. If there are any more experienced with the splatter that can point out any problems with this explanation, don't be shy. If I am wrong, well then I am wrong.
  14. Depends, are the old ones labeled as 25-40-07 or did you measure them to be that size. If measured they may just be worn and that would cause the difference. If they is labeled as such, I would call my friendly Sherco dealer and ask what they suggest.
  15. WHEW!!! Thanks for the warning. No getting hit upside the head this time.
  16. Gotta have a winter project to keep me sane and out of the way of the missus. I tend to drive her insane during the winter months. I am skipping the BIG hammer and going straight for the BIG F@#$$%^ HAMMER! Don't forget the duct tape and bailin' twine.
  17. I was reading that and the missus asked what was so funny. I explained that some guy wanted to route the exhaust back into the turbo and she just laughed. This is a quote "I am a woman and I know that ain't gonna work!"
  18. My dad had rented one a few years back, Whilst sitting on the PWC at the dock, the POS, sorry I mean PWC, rolled to the side, Dad reached out to catch himself on the dock and promptly broke something in his shoulder.
  19. Hey Ham2 I am finding your adventures of engine rebuild very interesting, I am planning on splitting the cases of my 2000 2.9 to do crank seals, bearings, rings, etc. etc. lots of stuff. So please continue to post so as I can learn before I do the teardown. I am hoping to have a fire breathing monster when I am done, or at least alot better low end performance and throttle response.
  20. Hey whoa ya'll gotta warn me ahead of time that thar is gonna be pic like that. I am scrolling down through the posts with the missus at my side talking about .......who knows I wasn't listening anyways. And all of a sudden WHAMO!!! a really nice pic of a good smile. And then 1 second later WHAMO!!! I get hit upside the head. By the way it was well worth getting hit upside the head.

    Gg Foursmoke

Wait even Biff can't abuse a bike enough to kill it? say it isn't so!!! Does this mean you are going to stop busting my chops about riding a Sherco?! It just won't be the same if you do. Heck I don't want my Sherco, I want a 300 GG. Just can't afford the switch. but the next bike I buy will be a 300 GG.
  22. Them trophies is SWEET! I gotta learn to ride so I might have a chance at one if somebody gives them away in a place I ride. Or maybe I should drop 3 classes and be able to get 3rd place. In MOTA the individual clubs decide the trophies. Usually it is a medalion with the MOTA logo on it attached to a colored ribbon. The color of the medallian denotes place and the ribbon denotes class. But some clubs have decided to take the medallion and fashion an award around it. Examples: Mugs, very nice wooden base with the medallion set in the center. Just remember "If there are only 3 riders in my class, I am going home with a trophy!!"
  23. oohhh! how about a trials rider doing a big splatter, nose wheelie, or pointing part way down the rock and about to lose balance so one leg is stuck way out. I would like to see some really cool trials specific trophies.
  24. Twern't me, My wife says I am happily married.
  25. Hey don't tease me!!!! Don't promise if you can't deliver..........
