  1. they do tend to be the only channel to show them. last year they were usually shown about 2weeks after the event. It might have something on the eurosport website...
  2. The spokes on my Gas Gas have started to show signs of rust where they go into the rims. Is there anyway of preventing the rust showing as much and or stopping it getting worse?? Cheers
  3. Your right there Andy, They will be available sometime in April 2006. Not sure of the exact date as yet but keep an eye on the website - www.manx2day.com - As soon as they are open you can contact Tony Temple on 01624 852842 but be sure to return them in the post the same day you get them as the Solo's will fill up very very quickly! We are hoping to have the regs available to download too on the site. All the best, have a good new year. :madsanta: Manx2day.com
  4. I think it's due out in March...according to Duke! Keep checking their website!
  5. Cheers for that, Ouch, Spain are damn good at the moment! Should be good on tv!
  6. Well everything that has been said for the past year or so about the likes of gas gas going 4t are all rumours. Personally i hope that wtc doesn't go 4t, especially after one particularly strong rumour that gg have made a 2t engine that produces less emissions and is much quieter that the montesa 4t. Lets have some real stories from the factories and the FIM and just get the whole rumour mill over so we can move on to our next bike!!!
  7. You can get them both from dukevideo.com, but as Jonty says the new Steve Colley DVD - ***********, is not available until march '06. WTC 2005 is available now from the website at

    06 Gas Gas

As it says on the Gas Gas UK website, The jetting should have been sorted before the bike left the dealer and if it wasn't i believe Shirty would like to know!!!
  9. I pump my tyres up if the trial or practice session was a wet one. It helps incase (not always the case) water found it's way through the holes on the rim. It just gets the water out. You'll sometimes see it come out in small bubbles.
  10. I have changed my gearbox oil on my o4 GG as it was very cloudy but it should be a transparent red. The next day, when i rode a trial i just looked down to check it and it had gone very cloudy once again having only changed it the day before! Will there be water making it's way into the gearbox? and will it have anything to with removing the fly wheel cover and re-sealing it?? Could there be a leak letting the water in?? If not what can it be? Any advice will be appreciated. Cheers

    Exhaust ...

I had the same trouble with my o4. The top and bottom brackets broke and i have had them beefed up and re-welded. Not long after that a hole appeared at the rear of the muffler. The bracket where you screw on the exhaust had split the muffler casing. It is quite common with all of the aluminium ones. Steel ones are very good and reliable. Factory GG riders have steel mufflers fitted. It is worth getting the aluminium one repaired, then you have a spare!!
  12. Definately a cleaner!! Mine is strippd at the moment! It looks so much better clean than covered in mud from the last trial! I completely strip her after every couple of trials so i know it's still in tip top condition. Although the rider isn't always as good as the machine! When i put everything back on i make sure all the nuts and bolts which can work themselves loose are given a bit of loctite for extra security! But one thing is...I have recently taken off the fly wheel cover and replaced it, sealing it with silicone and after that i think there is water getting into my gearbox. The gearbox oil is going very cloudy. It should be transarent red but now cloudy red! Is this a direct result of removing the fly wheel cover???
  13. I have also heard along the grapevine that Gas Gas have produces a two stroke engine which produces LESS harmful emmissions than a Montesa 4T, so if this is true then why doesn't everyone stick to 2T rather than have a louder then life 4T?!?
  14. Will i have to be aware of damgaing anything beneath the plastic cover if i remove it to replace the gasket? Cheers
  15. Does anyone know whether or not set of GG '06 stickers will be available to buy? As in for the tank and airbox? Cheers
  16. The thermostat might be knackered. Or it could be something to do with the fan mechanism or even the motor. If it is the thermostat, find it, cut the wires and twist them together, doing that the fan will be on permanently. Thats all i can think of.
  17. Rider list is up, a few gaps but this is the most up to date i have to hand. If your not on it don't worry aslong as you have your number!! Colours is somewhere some people go on saturday night. It's at the Hilton on the prom. But Paramount City is another safe bet, it is over towards Summerland on the promenade. A good night at both places. The presentation is on sunday night at the Villa Marina and they have some bars for you all to get well oiled after a hard weekend of riding. Less than a week, see you all there! Manx2day.com
  18. And don't forget the website - www.manx2day.com. It might not be much but any suggestions for more things to put on will be appreciated and we wil try and get them on there ASAP. If anyone out there has anything in the line of memrobelia from the last 50 years of the two day, please contact us. All we are looking for is a copy of old programmes to photo's. Anything found will be greatly appreciated as 2005 see's a great milestone for the Manx Two Day Trial. Thanks and keep up the interest for the event. Manx2day.com
  19. As the Manx 2 Day will be having it's 50th Anniversary Trial, the committee is hoping to find as much memrobelia as possibly from the last 50 years. We only need a copy of whatever anybody has and all will be displayed over the 2 day weekend. If anyone has anything from photos to programs, you can send a copy of them to Tony Temple, Uplands, Main Road, Glen Vine, Isle of Man, IM4 4AZ or if you have any on computer you can email them to tony.temple@heronandbrearley.com. All help will be greatly appreciated as this is a special year for the trial. Here's to the 50th Manx National Two Day Trial. Manx2day.com
  20. Cheers for that, lets hope it's ok.
  21. Thanks for that, i'll see if i can get that done! Another quick question, if i may...While riding the Manx 2 Day last year the bolts on my rear chainwheel worked their way lose and decided to take a big chunk out of my swing arm. The swing arm hasn't been any problem throughout the time since the 2Day but would it be better if the gap was filled or is best to buy a whole new swingarm?? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  22. Anyone have any ideas on how to stregthen and repair the brackets on the centre box on the 04 exhaust. The top one on mine has broken twice after being repaired once before with an alu weld. The bottom one has also broke. Or is anyone selling any steel ones on the cheap?!? Cheers
  23. MANX 2 DAY TRIAL ENTRIES - 29 APRIL 2005 This is the last day for the entries to be recieved for the Manx 2 Day. The solo's were full in a very short space of time but, as always the sidecars were slow to come in! Hopefully all of you sidecar competitors have sent your entries in before today or for today. Thank you to all solo and sidecar competitors who have applied for entries. Your interest doesn't go unoticed and as it is the 50th Anniversary in 2005 it is sure to be a great couple of days. If you have planned to come for the weekend but have not been accepted i'm sure you will have a great weekend. Thanks again. Manx2day.com
  24. Take a look at www.steam-packet.com They sail from Liverpool and Heysham. Hope that helps manx2day.com
