  1. Don't know who the rider is but I suppose he's guaranteed to be the butt of a lot of jokes... You just want to reach out and touch them don't you
  2. slapshot 3 replied to wetfeet's topic in Anything goes
Now waht you should have done is pour a little of the Whisky on to the Haggis.... adds another flavour
  3. They are like rocks, no give and no grip!!
  4. Simply put, the harder your knobbles the better it'll go in the sloppy stuff ..... or in proper English, the Michelin is of a softer compound than the others IRC and Vee Rubber, even Dunlop and the horrible Pirelli. Therefore it'll grip better on rocks and in burns but maybe the compromise is mud.
  5. It's metaphor......yeah right!!! It's not in the busty Italian mode like a Sophia Loren, Gina Lolobrigida or Monica Belluci (my dad told me about the first two.... ) but she is a pretty lady. No who d o I know has one, I want a shot.
  6. erm...if any bike had gone ar$e over tit like Jeroni's did last night I think it would leak fuel...it's simple physics, anyway didn't look like much more than a carbful and stopped dripping pretty quick.... boy has B*****ks that's for sure, that was a nasty crack he took
  7. Could move half these posts to the Xipsa website...... Okay give them the benefit of the doubt. "looks like a shed throw together" - well it probably is but then again does the company extend much beyond a big shed and a couple of lock ups.. 100K development - what did Beta spend on the Evo as a major player with 15-20yrs continuous development? What do GasGas spend on the Raga developments every year, lets not touch how much Honda will spend to save half a kilo on Bou's Monts. Crap cosmetically - ever promise a new design to a show and struggle to make deadlines?? The Evo (please note I am a huge Beta fan) - when it first came out how many posts were there about poor cosmetics, crap design, stupid place for the electrics, that rad cap is way to exposed, the carb will still p*** fuel everywhere.......etc etc etc How bout we see what happens. Greeves played a big part of my growing up because the old man had a couple and I'd love to see them make a go of it, but in the standard british way lets criticise straightaway. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and see what the next model looks like and how they develop the second proto and see if they can get one to the Scottish..... better than Xipsa have done after two years of promises. The fuel tank sounds interesting just a viewpoint
  8. Nooo, another website I haunt had it on there...no porn
  9. Think maybe you need to wake up and smell the coffee mate...you're dreaming again
  10. clicky Absolute genuis... you must listen to the lyrics
  11. Agreed, but the manufacturers are not going to change their development course for the Scottish anymore, it's all about WTC, rightly or wrongly. Gas Gas/Shirty got the bigger tanks made for the gassers which gave them enough range but them and maybe Montesa are the only one that could do that I suspect, Betas, Shercos, Scorpa etc design prevents that kind of development without changing the whole nature of the bikes. I suspect the old rules needs review but that's down to Overthehill and the rest to make that decision, if they want to, there's no obligation to do that.
  12. typical, reduced to a smutty response Mr Cope...
  13. apparently the incidence of this in the 80's was huge...
  14. What about Toyah and Bananrama
  15. Suggestive but very funny Link
  16. Bloody hell, it's taken a while for that one to reach the Antipodes
  17. Makes it look spooky.....not bad Mate a decent Canon would help of course....
  18. Who wants to send David the Jamie Reid Interview for some hints.... BJ knows...
  19. Couple of interesting names missing......
  20. The flash ads on the front page...
  21. Two most recent posts deleted, I believe a very inappropriate and potentially threatening twist to the discussion regarding the Scottish Pre65 Trial. I believe we all want this trial to continue despite the differences of opinion people have regarding the ballot and it's outcome, bike eligibility etc therefore moving the discussion to where it was going I feel is underming the work the organisers do and the work of the SSDT as that was mention also. If either of the relevant forum members wish to discuss the reasons for deleting the posts further then please contact me by PM. All subsequent posts of a similar nature will be deleted on sight Slapshot 3 Forum Moderator
  22. Paul...how you doin?? Hypothetical. So would you say that GOV132 was the start of it all??? What do you class as a replica, something built 30 years ago or something that's a constant work in progress? Lets not stop at Ariels? Lets go onto James', Cubs? We won't even bother going down the road of BSA's. ...because there are some that do want to ride original bike and they have to be catered for, you can't just throw them out because they are ancient. My favourite bikes over the last few years? Those amazing rigid 500 Nortons, Arthur Lamkin's ORIGINAL C15 that Chris Sutton rode a couple of years back and a certain Matchless....that's never changed, not as long as I can remember. The Ariels, jimmy's cubs and big Triumph twins are pretty to look at but they don't do it as much for me as some other. Your view. The Ballot: it's the rule, it won't change, I do not believe it's as farcical as most seem to be under the impression, the individuals involved that I know are too honest to be "on the fiddle" and I'll stand by that. Just my views
  23. Post in Beta thread deleted, please don't make duplicate posts, this thread moved to a more suitable place forum Moderator Best response you'll get it to try as many different bikes as you can and narrow down from there. What suits us may not be what you're after. I ride a Beta and find it suits me better than anything else; try them all first
