  3. Bubble fish Monday 13 Decembers 2004 Field trial permanent Scarpino (GE) E' the day of the presentation of the Sherco new 3,2 4 Times, for l'occasione are present l'Importatore Sherco for l'Italia Renato Chiaberto, Andrea Petrella team manager and pilot of the team P.R.T and Joan Pons pilot and tester Sherco. L'intera range of the Spanish house is schierata under the gazebo but all the eyes are revolts towards l'ultima been born the 3.2. Joan Pons begins to illustrate the characteristics to us of the new motion. "Le differences regarding the 2 Times are minimal, the superstructures and the dimensions are the stesse" The motor seen from the side clutch is from the first moment identical. Observing better the first differences are noticed, the front supports motor are decomposable, the tank leggermente are bombato towards l'alto in order recovering part of the ability lost from the group testa/cilindro more high, the curve of the first feature of drainage are various. Posterior L'ammortizzatore is various to level of supports and defers also the leveraggi, precise Pons that posterior elastic l'unit
  4. The world rankings from the previous outdoor championship sets the entry and the hosting body are allowed to choose the wild card riders.
  5. Minding if I remember right started with the Lejune's Eddy's brother would enter the event and ride, this way he could pre ride the sections, move rocks and help his brother. Well other riders picked up on this and it was hard to know who was doing what, so they allowed each rider to sign on a minder. Now it's minders, bike holders, factory rep's who look more like minders than factory reps, then man and his dog to carry spare bikes, drinks, etc, it's got to the stage the only people outside the tape is the event officials. All the problems arose from trying to stop riders riding round for no other purpose than assist another rider. They say the numbers are dropping because of section difficulty at world championship rounds but the FIM do everything in their power to make it easier for the riders allowing them to pre walk the sections, someone to catch the bike if they do make a mistake, another person in a factory bib giving orders on which way the back wheel would be best placed, a whole fleet of bodies well camouflaged in bibs "meaning who knows what" to shift rocks and distract the section officials. If the FIM want a circus then allowing all the clowns in the section is spot on!! if the FIM want a world championship with more riders and a fairer result at the end of it, then easing of the sections to allow more riders to compete and eliminating all outside assistance to any rider once they are on the clock is the way to do it. I can't understand riders complaining about an event or pre walking a course and saying it's too easy, but they will still have many people helping them do the event, if it's too easy why all the assistance. I don't think the top men making the decisions for trials in the FIM have any balls, and prefer to please factories and top riders!! rather than make the sport fairer for all, their own rules say a rider cannot receive outside assistance, but allow them to have all they want, a trial starts and ends at the clock, everything in-between is the course. I still think without all the assistance and eased sections the best rider would win the championship, they just wouldn't win as many rounds. Like all top motor sports it comes down to $$$$$$$ and the strongest team, and this is one of the reasons in recent years we have only seen a couple of mega champs win all in front of them, unfortunately trials isn't a top motor sport and never will be.
  6. The less poeple on other brands in with a chance the better Isn't Montesa called Wild in spain? so wild are playing the wild card Should get Marky, Munch, and the rest of the Wild men reved up that, wot thi think. Thought I would have had some bites by now. Anyway I'll post the results. 1 . Cabestany 2 . Raga 3 . Doug 4 . Fuji 5 . Frexia 6 . Blazusiak
  7. Grimbo, Pons, Amos, James, now that would be a sight to see all going for the win on Ben Nevis last day of the SSDT all on four bangers. Whats betting a fourstroke wins this years SSDT, I say one will It's got to stirr up the interest and get those spectators out on the Ben.
  8. Reliability, suspension, simplicity, all spot on, rode the bike for about three months. Mine is a 125 also the race version, it does feel nice and easy to ride and performs best in streams and slippery conditions, however I find it lacking when it comes to riding the bigger steps and logs we ride in this part of the world, my results suffered when I started riding it, the moment I got back on the Sherco the results improved immediately. I think the type of sections and the class you ride over there the bike will be perfect for you. I want a bike over there to ride when I visit and if I can sus a way of getting this 125 there I will, depending on cost to ship and weather it would be more economical selling it here and buying another over there. I also found riding the bike with the stock seat on, it didn't get in the way at all and sure was nice to sit down between sections, if you plan on riding events with road work it's got to be a plus. The rear mudguard seems to put people off, but in truth I think it's the only one out there that actualy keeps the mud off you Go test ride one, if you like it I don't think you will be disappointed in quality and reliability.
  9. So in theory Wonder boys head is too dense of a material for the sound to penetrate
  10. Just because I had one lying about that I used for my RTL, I thought I wonder if?? In the US you need a spark arrestor for most events anyway and one of the mods for the bike is taking out the restrictors, using the bottom connection of the stock exhaust that fits right into the universal FMF spark arrestor you can kill two birds with one stone. The top mounting bracket just slides into place so no welding or fabricating needed.
  11. See some of the test is here [clicky] http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx...rticleID=904101 It says on the test, it tends to push out on the front end, my brother rode one and he thought the front end was spot on!! I say ride the bugger and make your own decisions
  12. Just ordered some Falcons from BJ racing, they ask your weight and ability level, and then have the shocks made up to suit.
  13. I will go with the Falcons, based in the US and a good man to deal with I'll get a pair ordered first thing monday. Thank's for the info lads.
  14. Didn't you hear about the new ruling, in both the 05 indoor and outdoor series the top 5 riders from this years outdoor series have to draw for which factory machine they will ride next season. I think this is great for trials, may the best man win.
  15. Whats the best aftermarket shocks for the Fantic 200, and where to buy them.
  16. Your ass will say Dunlop all over it if Andy catches thi .
  17. 7 great years!! don't think he's finished yet, but he can always make an extra bob or two off you when he does the 8 great years
  18. Keep the spare wheel, you can always sell it later if it doesn't fit
  19. Well!! that's that then in it, bloody things as common as muck now, every buggers got one. What thi all going to moan about for the rest of the winter months. Bet the new Sherco thumper will drag that pipsqueak by the scruff of it's headstock anywhere it pleases
  20. Kinell. I hear he has a works machanic tuning it in for him at the moment, somthing about the crank getting so hot he melted it to the case's
  21. Brad, after reading your reply about it's good to run an event like the TC trial, doesn't the same apply for the Boxing day trial. If it can get Doug out on his bike and a chance for people to go up to howden wood and see him ride along with other WR contenders on sections to test them, is that a bad thing? providing the clubmans course is just that a clubmans course, then I don't see the harm of putting on an event for the spectator.
  22. I think after seeing all the wingeing about waiting for the Mont 4rt, the Sherco factory would think it's best to have all the bikes in the dealership's before giving a release date
