Beta Rev3 Light Switch.
My one has actually lasted ok until I threw the bike down the road on ice whilst opening the Colmore last year, the tarmac ground the switches almost completely away but it still works.. after a fashion!

Beta Rev3 Light Switch.
I've been searching the online auction sites for a replacement light switch for a Beta Rev3 but with no luck. I would have thought that plenty are removed and never used again, but no luck. I want it to replace one that I fitted to my trail bike, they are ideal for MOT's as they have lights, horn, kill but no indicator switch. If anyone has an old one they no longer need would you please pm me. Cheers. Pete

Bennets V The Bike Insurer
I renewed my bike insurance today and Carol Nash told me quite clearly that I would be insured on the road between the competitive parts of the event. I asked them to double check and they came back and said yes, I will be covered. Incidentally, they were also the cheapest so I would have gone with them anyway. I ride in about five road trials per year, if I have to pay the ACU's extra

Does The 5.5" Renthal Bar Help Tall Riders?

Does The 5.5" Renthal Bar Help Tall Riders?
Thanks for giving us the into on the bars. I live in a nice part of the Uk, but where you live looks totally amazing!

Pampera Tyres
I only used to ride my Pampera in LDT's or easy club trials as I had a DRZ for trail riding, so I always used soft trials tyres which suit the Pampera very well. But you will need to fit security clamps to the rims. Michelin X11's certainly lasted longer than IRC's and on the Pampera I couldn't tell the difference in grip between the two.

Does The 5.5" Renthal Bar Help Tall Riders?
Do the grips still sit at the same angle as the lower bar?

New Scorpa Range
Crickey! I wasn't expecting that! If they do a 200 version of that 125 T ride, it could be a very popular LDT machine like the Beta Alp.

New Ossa
I like the look of it very much, it certainly has had a lot of thought go into the attention to detail!

Does The 5.5" Renthal Bar Help Tall Riders?
Funnily I was wondering the same thing recently, I run trials bars on my DRZ400 for Long Distance Trials. I have 5" Renthals at the moment which are bent (the DRZ is a heavy old thing when you drop it) and I was considering whether to fit 6" bars or bar risers, I am concerned that the angle of the grips would be different if I fitted the higher ones. Or is the angle the same just higher? Has anyone tried both? You comments appreciated. Pete

New Scorpa Range
Are we expecting a new Scorpa range for 2010?

No problem, I will collect the 2010 renewals until the Ralph Varden Centre Trial at the begining of Dec, then I'll send them all off at once by registered post to the ACU. I usually send about 40 in one go around that time of year, the rest slowly drift in as people remember they haven't done it. Any that arrive for 2009 will be sent off immediately of course.

Thinking About Buying A New Evo?
If it is, I'd really like to see it weld like that!

Thinking About Buying A New Evo?
Whoever sits there welding those to that standard earns their money. Tianium, inside corner weld, unpainted with no chance to dress. That needs concentration!

Thinking About Buying A New Evo?
Those foot rests and hangers are a work of art. What make are they?

New Michael Jackson Movie
I went to see the new Michael Jackson Movie this morning, I must say that it was really well worth going to see. Most of the footage was taken during rehearsals for the tour he was to make this year. He looks and sounds just like he did 20 years ago and the footage from the new Thriller video was superb. I know it won't be everyones idea of enjoyment, but I had a really good time. I left with the opinion that the tour would have been a massive success had he not died. Well worth going to see. Pete

Saying Hello
XR400's are actually quite good for long distance trials providing you are a reasonable trials rider, as Chewy says a proper trials bike will help you to enjoy the sport a lot more. Once you get better on a trials bike, you will find that riding the XR won't seem as daunting. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Pete
