There's also metal injection molding. We've made some parts out of Stainless that were injection molded. Very interesting stuff. Stainless particles are mixed with plastic, injection molded, debinded and sintered. The shrinkage is probably at 10 to 20 %.
-
They would have to prove to me that is as strong as injection molded.
I've seen lots of parts that are made by rapid prototype and they are no where
near as strong as an injection molded part.
Dave, are these going to used directly off the 3d printer?
Is it ABS?

I've got a good picture of one with my buddy Rick on the Hondatrials site.
Click below.

There's one on e bay now that's in Houston!

Get some Renthal medium grips for a ATV or Watercraft.

If your not into competition, take a look at the Reflex. Sounds like it would be just what your looking for. 200cc and a good sized seat. It's still a pretty light and nimble. Usually lots of them around in good shape and at reasonable prices.

I could be wrong (SHUT UP!) but I thought I saw a picture of DL with orange wheels on the new 4T.

The hot starting problem sounds like it could be a bad coil.

Navagate around here for a bit.

In the USA go to a Wal*Mart and try to buy SOMETHING, ANYTHING made in the USA. It's impossible. As a consumer it would be nice to accually HAVE a choice.
We lose manufacturing and we lose everything. The powers in charge have really been asleep on this one. If they woke up today it would be very hard to fix.
Scary, scary stuff. Soon we will have no machinery, no qualified operators and no way to fix our own economy (say nothing of our own national defense).
All this and dealing with a country that kills unborn babies because your only allowed to have one. Just how much are we willing to give for the almighty dollar?
Whole thing seems VERY short sided and morally wrong to me.
BTW we can't get cigars from Cuba because they are communists. HA!

You could look at a 3 position clutch lever. It's a bolt on.
Try this.

or MSR Raptor. Remember though. The easier it is to pull the more travel
it takes to engage.

Dear Ady,
Personally I enjoy your posting. Seems like ever since Wonder Bread went to
school we haven't heard much of him. You could never replace him but your a
darn close copy. You seem to stir stuff up in the same manner Gavin did at first.'
Fun to read. Keep up the good work!

Yep Charlie, right again!
The tool for a rear fender is probably close to 80K US.
It would need to run in a 600 to 800 ton press. Because of
the length of the fender, the mold size would probably lean toward
a 800 ton. A 600 ton would mold it fine if the tool would fit between the
tie bars. The surface area of the fender is not too large, but that odd
shape just means you need a larger mold and a larger press and more money. I would hope that they would be molding 3 or 4 fenders per shot (one mold with 3 or 4 parts) and utilizing thier press time. It would also be nice to see them use a
FISA Valve Gate System so that there are no runners or gates to trim.
(Maybe I get a trip to Spain too!)

Thanks, and thanks to everyone that's helping.
I'm just trying to stick all things Hondatrials in one spot.
I think it's off to a pretty good start and I'll do my best
to update often.
-
That's what I need. Any bike someone might have information on please let me know.
-
Well, thanks everyone.
Here's the start. Please feel free to critisize and comment.
I'll do my best to fix anything inacurate.

I won't intentionally use anyones photo that doesn't wan't me to. I just don't remember who took all of them. If you took the photo please click on the link I'll provide so that I can either give you the credit, or if you want me to, I'll take it down. It's not any kind of money making project for me. It's just some place for information about Honda's trials history. Lots of links to other sites will be put in for information too.
BTW T-Shock, I didn't get your messege.
Try brian(at sign)metalmarkers.org
Thanks all.
