They can all be tempermental when starting but the Beta tends to be the best followed by the Gas Gas. Seen a few Clipic Auto's about as well and they are pretty good.

I'm after the results of the Centre Championship trial in January. Anybody have them or the website???

Basically the Class structure is based on the YEAR they were born in. Hence this Years classes were 2007 A Class 1990 1991 B Class 1992 1993 1994 C class 1995 1996 1997 D Class 1998 1999 2000 2001 2008 A class 1991 1992 B Class 1993 1994 1995 c Class 1996 1997 1998 D Class 1999 2000 2001 2002 Examples If you are 14 on the First of January 2008 you are B class Even if you turn 15 on the second of January 2008, hence the 15 year olds competing in B class. It does mean that A class riders who turn 17 in their last year can ride Novice class on unrestricted bikes if they so wish. However to ride "In class" the riders are restricteed to the following bike capacities. A and B class ride 125cc Maximum C Class 80cc Monoshock Maximum D class 50cc Monoshock or TY80 Twin shock

We should be at Post Hill on Saturday. West Leeds club trial starting at 13:00. Horsforth will be at Greenhow on Sunday running a Novice Beginners(Easy 50/50 and Hard), Barry usually starts them at 11:00. There might be a few more on but I usually check the TMX calendar on thursday. Checking the web sites YG, Richmond(no guessing why? nice job by the way!),Spen and Barnsley are not running anything. We are due at Bracken Rocks for the last A & B Round Sunday so won't be out which is a shame as Green how is a nice venue.

Just had a call from another rider's Dad (Hi Mark ), and NYL is in. I gather that they have just over thirty entered at the moment and that the entries will remain open so that any delayed can be taken.

Ok Anybody heard anything??? I have posted NYL's entry and it has hopefully got to the secretary but I haven't been able to contact Mrs Crabtree to Confirm that He has an entry. Has anybody got any news??

The Problem is that all club riders want no-stop. All National riders want FIM. So we still end up with two sets of rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody heard any more about the Midland rounds??? One of our friends had just sent off their entry for the EMRA Round and have recieved no word back as yet???

There will be parking and food available on site on Sunday. BDMC will be along to fill you in but the only restriction will be to make sure your vehicle is CLEAN when you arrive. That is make sure you haven't got mud and crap from the last trial you visited. Nobody is expecting you to have an immaculate vehicle and "normal" road dirt is acceptable. Which reminds me that I need to hose down the "bus" for the weekend. Have a good time!!

Three come to mind, Hull Auto, Scarborough & DMC and S****horpe MCC. If you go to the ACU Website you will find contact details. Turn up to Beginners trials just to get the "lie" of the land. As for costs it depends how serious you are and how much you can do yourself. It's a tenner an entry, five to ten pounds worth of Petrol "does" a weekend then it's down to two stroke and gearbox oil, how many pads/shoes you go thru for brakes etc. A Normal trial starts at 11 and usually is finished by 15:30 at the latest. Most of the "banter" is friendly and if you hit trouble somebody will help as far as they can.

I take NYL down every now and again for practice. For trials practice there are four main areas. A banked stream behind the main office portakabin's. A bowled area with trees around and in it with logs, some good banks, some wooden obsticles and small ravines. A small but interesting area of rocks and a smaller stream area. Probably about six or seven sections for a trial but plenty to practice on. They also sell cans and have a Pressure washer for a small donation. It's a small but useful facility and we like it. NYL learnt to ride a Motorcycle there and graduated up to TY80's before He started competing.

Don't see anything in the previous posts about critising farmers VicX!! Perhaps you misread???? However there are alternate venues that are not farmland and given the lead time perhaps these should have been considered? Kent did it for their National. I'm not sure why IOW had to change venue's, but they also managed it. In both cases the club's had only a few days to do it not a couple of weeks. Hopefully Bracken Rocks will still be ok for the last round and Given that Mansfield run it and have run C&D and A&B Nationals in the past on consecutive days, could have done so again.

Looks like it could have been pulled a bit early. DEFRA have cleared all farms outside the exclusion zone. Again I'm with AS IOW, Why not shift it to an alternate venue? Other clubs have managed it in a much shorter timescale.

Looks like unless somebody steps in that the Bracken Rocks Event will be the only remaining round of the A/B Championship. I have to say that other clubs have managed to relocate the nationals due to the F&M problems and I would have hoped that a replacement could be found. As for the C&D could not Mansfield relocate and run the Trial the day before the A/B???

Craven are holding the last Club championship trial this year on Saturday the 22nd at 1PM. It will be at Cowling Cragg and there will be disinfected straw but the landowner is allowing the event to go ahead.

Dave Richards was in a Twin Turbine EC135, Unfortunately Colin's Squirrel was a Single Turbine. RIP Colin who convinced everybody that a Brit could win the World Rally Championship when it was a real Rally Championship.(the RAC rally took in most of the UK and lasted a week). Even worse that his Son perished, Colin had "done" it all. His son had his life ahead. Sorry but kids get to me.

They were caught out by Heller SA the FRENCH company that held the moulds and manufactured the plastics going belly up. Hornby seem to have pulled the fat out of the fire and are planning to continue the range probably by sub-contracting to China(whoopi doo). Humbrol had sold the Heller concern to the French Management team but contracted them to produce the kits.

We decided to give it a shot and despite Chris's bad first lap I felt it was worthwhile. It was a good trial with good sections. Perhaps the "Bestival" caused problems with accomodation or Ferries although I found it pretty easy to book from Southampton and Found virtually all the Hotels no more than 20 mins away from the Venue. I was not going to attend Cheadle and Isle of Wight but found I could get the time off and decided to "go for it" and we have attended all rounds This Year. I have noticed that certain riders seem to have "given up" and have not attended the last couple of rounds which did affect your entry. However others came back. At least a couple of riders do the event by travelling down in the morning which is not easy on your event. Also at least 10-15 riders at the first round were local or "near" local and perhaps your round suffered from the missing "near" riders. It's not an easy question to answer. We'll have to see how EMRA and Mansfield Maun do for their rounds. I personally would like to say thanks and if Chris keeps improving we'll be back for "A" class next year.
