We use the BPR5EIX Iridium plug and have had no problems. Maintains spark. Gap is pre-set and runs well. Never fouls either.

Used one of the 1.3CDTI's to get down to Surrey for the A/B National. We had a Gas Gas 125 and it fitted. You will have to put it diagonally across the van and watch the levers and handle bar ends as they touch the side of the van if it isn't very secure though.

If I remember correctly no trials bike makes 33 bhp. They are tuned for maximum Torque.

Ripon club seem to be behind the times. They are still cancelling despite all other clubs running as normal!! I could understand it if the alert was still real but it does seem to have been contained and isolated.

Always tricky this one! I suppose the answer is simple. Section 1 could be ridden non-stop. NYL's approach was to keep the bike moving forward even when flicking and bouncing. This satisfied the observer. I agree tho that 10 could not be ridden non stop ( i.e. one for a stop), on the "B" class route. the approach was way too tight and the observer there HAD to take the view that it was not going to be ridden without stopping at that point. That is down to the Clerk of the Course and it should not have been there especially as the other sections were pretty much spot on for non or one stop marking.

BAsically the Chinese are not the "new" Japan. Japanese goods were high quality items produced at a lower price. Unfortunately Chinese items aren't. Yes they can produce at a low cost, BUT the quality has never been there. Only European, Japanese and US operations where the company is managed and quality controlled by nationals from those countries get anywhere near and hence the price goes up. It's no coincidence that Chinese goods have a high return rate and neither that "brand names" haven't made it out of China. I wouldn't risk my neck on a road bike from China let alone a Trials machine.

Got the Info from Pistonheads. The info was published in a local paper but how many see it away from the North Yorks area!! As it turned out I travelled a few of those roads and plod was not to be seen!

They tend to make the bike run richer than normal so you will have to adjust the mixture.

NYL was there and the problem appears to have been electrical near the radiator.

The only thing that would stop it is a deluge overnight!!!!! It's on as an Observer I'd know if it was off!

Yeadon Guiseley first priority was to get the Trials planned on at Addingham. We do not own the land but do have contact with the landowner as such we would support them in whatever they wish to do. Perhaps rather than turn your wrath on the club or landowner you should be directing it towards Bradford council and the local councillor who seems to have put himself in a position to influence the planning process. I have little doubt that if the Planning process proves as successful as it seems tack may well be changed.

Just a warning that North Yorkshire Police have a New Chief Constable and He's got an attitude problem. They are running "Operation Helical" which is targeting certain roads in North Yorkshire. Amongest the aims to to prosecute Drivers 2 or 3 mph over the limit . Hence keep an eye out this weekend as the BIB in North Yorks are not friendly. Roads they will be on are below. Thomas Minta is doing rather well on a Clipic in the C & D nationals. The bike is nicely made and the cycle parts are pretty good as well. Pennine Trialsport bring them into the country. Chris tried the original prototype bike and liked it. It's more like a Gas Gas than a Beta.

Really you need to move to the Gas Gas Cadet 50 or the Beta Rev50. The New REV50 is just about in stock(seen one at Pennine Trialsport). But there are plenty of the old ones about and they remain a very good bike. I have seen the Cadet and it's also a good bike but get the lad on them and see what you reckon. The Chinese tyres on the REV50 aren't up to much and the V-Rubber on the Gas Gas is superior. However you can always change tyres. When Chris was looking to move these bikes He had a few friends who let him try them. You should look around and see if you can get a few rides on them to see how he does.

As with everything it's down to money. It costs a lot to move the "circus" around and given the limited market for Trials it isn't possible to fund more than one or two riders per team. (Unless you are Honda!!!). Graham could do more European rounds but that may well be at the expense of the British Championship. It's an expensive business doing any National series so I tip my hat to those that can find the money to do both the British and the Europeans.

The Gas Gas does need a bit more maintenence than say a Beta or Sherco but you'll hear stories of problem rear brake linkages and Carb float problems on the Beta, Bottom end bearing problems on the Sherco etc etc. Providing you keep on top of these things by doing the required work and or using the proper fluids/tools you won't have many problems. Coming from MX I think you'll find maintaining them a lot less time consuming.
