  1. I had the same problem, new condenser and points, fixed for little cost.
  2. Trials UK in Horsforth would seem best located for you. Never had service work done by them, as too far from me. Working from comments of others.
  3. Depends where in Yorkshire, North, West, South, East. There are manywho could do this.

    Spark plug

Try this from NGK. Heat Range Explanation Typically the heat range for NGK Spark Plugs varies from 2
  5. Wash with saddle soap, dry and apply Neats foot oil mid week. Rub over before riding. Works for horse stuff and not too pricey from Saddle shop. I guess anything is better than lettingdry out.
  6. Not found a way to keep water out of a Beta, Gas Gas and now Ossa. Take it off every time dry and WD40, replace when preping to go out again. No better way.
  7. Manchester 17 run a series called dead easy around the Peak district. Lots of youngsters on the easy route. Another option a bit closer.
  8. I have an Ossa and there is a knack to starting. If you try to start it twisting the throttle it will not start, a couple of strong prods while you do not touch the throttle at all will set the fuel injection, then take up the slack (1/16") on the throttle and it will go. Even from new it has always starts in 4 to 5 max, now 6 months on its 2to 3.
  9. Bought bike in Dec, touch wood yet to have a problem in a trial. Completed every trial or practice. To be fair had a couple of issues, but sorted by Pennine and Ossa under warrenty. Recently changed to map 8, had to learn how to start it again, but will start within 3 kicks from cold every week. For a new bike out of the box, Ossa have done a great job. The 280 is very smooth, with lots grip, wish I knew how to use it all. Last bike was a GG 250 Raga with a flywheel weight, which I thought was as good as it gets, one test ride on the Ossa changed that. The feel of the bike is great, very balanced and with the Ohlins shock no upgrades needed. The fuel injection removes the mid range power surge, which is always there on all the other 2 strokes I have tried. This is not a good thing to have for me, big steps are for watching others attempt. I bought a Beta 4 stroke and tried it for over a year, this is the best comprises so far. My only issue with Ossa is the lack of clothing to go with the brand. Is it worth the extra, have a go on one is the only advice I can give.
  10. Plastic number plate bolts work well, will pull out the thread or head comes off. Cheaper than a mudguard.
  11. I carry a Bultaco 198 Sherpa on a Dave Cooper rack, the big issue is will your vehicle take the weight. Bike and rack is a 100Kg, will the tow bar nose weight on your vehicle take this. The rack is great as you can legally drive at the motorway speed limit.
  12. Try this link http://www.clubbultaco.com/ident.htm. Model 190 shows 1977/78. There is a forum Bultaco M80 Sproket sizes on this site, which agrees with with Haynes Manual 11/46 on a 520 chain. I have a 198 which has the 11/46 and seems ok. Have fun. Steve
  13. Hi, I had a pair of ON OFF boots, broke a strap and after several attempts by me and the dealer, gave in and bought another make.
