EM (Electric Motion)

Looking at my first trials bike and I’m going electric so I can ride on my own property. My local dealer has a new ‘16 sport for $1500 off MSRP. I’m torn if I should scoop that up or get an ‘18. Are the motor improvements that significant or any other refinements that would make a new ‘18 a better option?

im looking for replacement headlight switch for 17 escape with full light kit, its got a lot of buttons - headlight regular and bright, turns signals, horn, ignition on/off, and 2 engine regeneration buttons. em parts catalog calls this part LEFT CERTIFIED COMMUTATOR part number TL01K-60407-00-00 made by leonelly. anybody has any ideas where to find that switch except EM dealer also since i don't need all the lights and i don't use them a lot anyway i can get rid of them but then i need "ignition on/off" switch and engine "regeneration button", may be i can figure out how to bypass ignition on/off switch and just use magnetic switch and nothing else…

I could be in the market for a electric trials bike. like the EM 5.7 , is there any upgrades from the 2017, is the 2018 out yet ?. EM web site or Facebook page don't give much new info. I do like what I'm hearing on the new Mecatecno T18. any info from you electric bike guys out there.

Hi, I'm looking to buy a used Epure sport. The 2020 bikes are £1500 cheaper than the 2021 bikes. Was there much change from 2020 to 2021, all i can see is in reviews is the forks are better and there were small refinements to the power delivery on the 2021. Also is there a built-in hour meter or an indication of how many charge cycles it has done?

My controller seems to be jammed on the reset function. I've renewed the switch which hasn't cured it. Any ideas what to do next?

Hey guys. My 2021 em escape r has stopped working. Ran it thru a pretty boring run up the mountain, came back down, everything was fine. The next day I go to start it and nothing. The battery engages, lanyard works, head display shows 98% and switching map to green light but their is zero power to the motor. Tried the reset cycle. Nothing. Even went as far as to replace the throttle control with a new domino throttle. Nothing. Has anyone dealt with this problem or does anyone know how the heck to fix this? Checked all connections, battery, fuse and everything's good.

Hello everyone, New EM owner here, picked up a used 22 epure race couple weeks ago. What a fun bike, been having a blast with it. Although I have one issue that I cant figure out, went through this forum and haven’t seen a similar issue. When riding the bike for a bit randomly it will start to hold revs sort of similar to if the TKO is turned on even tho it is not on. If I hold in the clutch and release the throttle the revs will very slowly come back down very similar to a lean condition on a ICE bike. But With no clutch engaged the bike does not pull or want to inch forward. It will do this in all 3 maps. Then after a little while of this if I pull the kill tether …

My rear shock from my 2022 EPR is blown. I do not want to spend big bucks, so I am thinking rebuild Vs a used R16V? If so, is there a single size for the R16V?

I just rode a 2022 (mine) and a 2023 EPure Race back-to-back. The shock on the 2023 seemed a little more active and lively. I'd love to upgrade, but I wanted to start by trying to adjust my shock. Has anyone else played with adjustments on the 2022? Any recommendations? (specifically to try to get closer to the Reiger feel)

Has anyone upgraded their pre-2023 ePure with a Domino throttle? Was it easy to install? Any noticeable difference?

Have a new 23 epure (not race). I’m struggling with the lack of feel in the rear brake. I’ve been riding a 5.7 since err 2014! Upgraded in 2016 and from the getgo converted the back brake to left handlebar mount (like my mountain bike) primarily to stop the woohoo let’s go backwards free wheel experience when the motor cuts on a sudden load (going over a log fast uphill). You only do it once! 23 has the anti reverse- nice so I thought I’d be a big boy again and go foot brake but it’s horrible no feel it’s nearly put me over the bars - it’s like a very good parking brake! I use the PRB but I like the throttle against the rear brake to tighten turns and the PRB doesn’t …

2023 Epure Race, manual pgs 33 and 35 and 36, TKO and TC Traction control do not seem to work, even after reset. (The FRB, motor braking works) EM Connect, the app, I can't get through the screen to enter a code. I have worked with the dealer, who is sending me a switch and diagnostic cable. Dealer says the feature is new and optional, it doesn't know. I have emailed EM France without any reply on these three issues. Is there something the dealer and I are missing? Thank you. John

Just bought a 2024 Sport model and really enjoying it. Certainly a big adjustment from my Sherco 250. This was my very first try right out of the crate last week... I was fooling around with the clutch and winding it up for no reason. This was this week (snow is gone) - a lot quieter you can hear the sound of the X11s on the driveway

Has anybody looked into what is involved to update a 21 bike to the 22 TKO spec? Is this possible? Cheers

So my 22 comp has a clunking sound that is damn hard to track down. I initially thought it was the bolts from the frame dogbone contacting the dogbone off the shock as clearance is minimal and I did see what appeared to be scratches where you would expect them if it was impacting. well facing both bolts didn't resolve the sound. It's almost like a flex sound but nothing is loose, none of plastic is flexing. it mostly happens on the top of the stroke but not always and sometimes it goes away altogether (but comes back after a couple bounces on the pegs... I disconnected the top of the shock, laid below and had a friend go through the stroke. There was no sound or anything …

Hi I have a specialist looking at my battery however he would like a schematic of the wiring inside a EM 5.7 battery. I'm getting conflicting information on the exact makeup of the battery, has the battery 13 cells only, 13 cells with a 14th cell that controls the relay or 14 X 4V cells with the 1st cell also controlling the relay? This Battery has had a Neptune BMS fitted that although very clever it does keep on tripping the solenoid regardless off the multitude of settings and parameters I have tried to resolve the issue. I have decided to have a more basic BMS fitted but unfortunately the wiring is a bit hit and miss at the moment hence the request for a detailed sche…

I had a really good feel for my old (2021) bike with a 51T sprocket on it. Foolishly I left it on when I changed the bike, thinking it would be easy enough to get another one for my new (2023) bike. It's not. I can't find one anywhere. Does anyone one have one to sell, or know where I could get one? 51T preferred but I would go with 50T or 52T too.

I'm asking the question first before i attempt to open it up. Is it possible to adjust the rotation of the throttle so the housing with the wire can point in a different position. I'm thinking this has been done to my throttle already as the open and closed positions differ from the other bike i have and this one will clash with the brake adjuster if i put it in the position i need it. Currently the closed position lines up with the clip on the housing body (blue line) whereas i need it to be the open position lining up with the clip so the main part of the housing points down rather than being where it is clashing with the brake lever. Hi, I'm considering buing an electric motion trials bike but can't justify the money for a new one. I've seen a 2018 EM sport one for sale but can't find out all the information i'd like on it. What type of clutch is it, a mechanical one like an normal bike? How can i tell the state of the batteries and are they easy available if they need replacing?

So who will be the first owner to lay out a couple of sections in the local club trial at which only they can ride, a nifty way of winning a trial I fancy. In fact if it's the last section you'd have not only cleaned it but you and the bike as well !
