hello all i gave ridden for a long time but recently purchased two twinshock bikles...76 honda tl that is 298cc and a modified frame and a sweet 79 199a. questions about the bul: 1 it has a mikuni and had a 115 main jet. had gobs of bottom end but not much on top. if i open up to a 130-140 and drop the needle a place or two will i keep the bottom end and add mid and top?? it also had .012" piston clearance when i checked so bored first over. i have a 140 main in it for the breakin period 2 it has an aluminum aftermarket swingarm which says malcolm smith but i don't think he was into bultacos....so does anyone know what i have?? 3 i have two sets of rear shox…

Ok guys , Now ive decided to keep the o'll girls ive set about sorting one out! first problem is the exhaust thread is badly damaged ie stripped! how can i restore this? i dont think you can get a helicoil this big! I think there might be a steel threaded insert for sale on the net! but i assume this is inserted by heating the exhaust port and then pressing it in! but surely when the bikes started up and the exhaust port gets hot wouldn't the insert move about? any ideas on this chaps as the barrell /piston/head are mint! Apart from some idiots handy work tightening the ****** exhaust ring to tight!!!

What twinshock in your opinion will be worth the most in five years time? I'd say of the big three , The Ossa mar should in theory be worth the most as they were the least sold! so would that make them more sought after?

Help! I have a fiberglass Bultaco 199A fuel tank that is leaking along the bottom edge seems. The tank was sealed at one point in its life with a "Kreem" type product. What is the best way to proceed in resealing the tank: a. Pour a new sealer over the existing one? b. Try and remove/disolve the old sealer? c. Apply resin to the drip edge seam and hope for the best? I poured and flushed the interior several times with Laquer Thinner, although this did a wonderful job of cleaning the tank it did not remove the sealent material. I have considered flushing with Acetone, however, I am concerned that this would eat in to the fibergla…

I was wondering what the rules are for twin shock? can i run disc brakes? I have a little 125 scorpa that i really love and dont really want to get rid of can i make up a rear subframe and bang two shocks on or is this not playing the game? I have seen a lot of big money bikes that seem to be accepted

It's struck me during last year that the classic road-events don't always have a big twinshock following; maybe its because the riders don't have bike licenses ,but also its that a lot of twinshocks weren't originally road registered as more events went off-road. There's been quite a few postings on this subject on TC forums. So, I've written a short HOW-TO guide on getting a twinshock MOT'd, dated, insured and how to get a registration certificate. I've used this for get an age-related number plate for my SWM Jumbo that I've just finished working on. Let me know what you think and if its useful (and correct)

Hello Again, Im after more advice on the OSSA TR350 1977 im restoring, Can anyone let me know how many wheel bearings there are suposed to be in the rear wheel and in what configuration, also Spacer thickness. I think my wheel has been modified to take 4 x 6201 bearings, 2 on each side. Also I have not been able to find a replacement Clutch Push Rod, does any ony have the specifications for one so i can have one made up. Lastly im looking for a replacement Skid Plate. hi guys, has anyone out here fitted a yam mono (drum brake) front end to a yam framed majesty 250 i understand that the mono yokes cant also be fitted? and have to mill out the STD ty yokes to accept the mono forks! does anyone know what the wheelbase will be after this conversion's been done? as the bikes already seems short with (i think) 51" wheelbase! if i cant get the above parts i need ive looked at the b+j racing web site and see there still doing the uprated( i think) fork springs and also a boyesson reed valve and alloy spacer kit that looks interesting, anyone tried these? on a different note i cut off the std footrest mounts and offered up the oversized foo…

Has anybody on here had to date a Seeley for registration purposes. If I want to date a Yamaha I know to write to Yamaha and obtain a letter. But who sorts it out to register a Seeley. Luckily my Seeley is registered, I am enquiring for a mate who wants to register his bike.With the bike being made in such a small number I wonder who has the relevant info. Thanks in advance. PS What after market shocks do you find work well on a Seeley. Thanks

Hi there. Has anybody sucssefully re-packed the silencer on their two stroke ? Is it possible to over pack it and so reduce the breathing of the exhaust? What is the best material to use?
