The Darlington & District Motor club will run a charity trial on 20 Aug in aid of theNorth Yorkshire Air Ambulance at Braidley, Coverdale. The eventwill run under A.M.C.A. colours. Starting at 11 am. This will be no 'pocket round the houses' event either. Geoff Lambert has given permission torun a three mile lap on his acres which will contain twenty four for sections on each of two laps. The classes are total adults to youths with a proviso that the Class C youngsters will be known by ability. It is a total off-road trial. The Darlington club are holding a trial this Sunday at Oxnop near Gunnerside in the dales, I have never ridden with them before but I have heard most trials out in the dales are tough ones ? I'm a complete novice and would love to ride but I don't want to get in above my head and not enjoy the day. Anyone ridden here before ?

How many remember the Scott Trial organised by Hilda and Norman Waters? Hi, does anybody know where the Darlington Club trial is on 13th March ? Or any other trials in the North East that weekend - am thinking of returning to trial after a few years lay off but want to go watch one first I picked up this Darlington date from results of last trial on their website http://www.darlington-motor-club.org.uk/index_layout.htm - I've e-mailed the trials contact listed on website but no response. I guess this will be listed in T&MX but haven't been able to find a newsagent with T&MX round here ....

I've been told tonight that this Trial is off due to the very wet underfoot conditions, please tell anybody who intended to ride. This trial is not cancelled - see change of venue 2 posts down.

Just like to say a big thanks to everyone involved with the Dartmoor 2 day for a fantastic weekends riding . cant wait till next year

I dont know if anyone else on here rode the 25th anniversary Dartmoor two day over the weekend,but I'd just like to thank Mike Naish and the SWCTA team for putting on a brilliant event over some lovely trials land.(Aptly named Paradise...) The sections were excellent,the variety of bikes was too,(Apart from there only being 2 rigids out of nearly 140 bikes) and the banter was top notch.There were many hangover stories on the sunday(Not me - learnt my lesson there,the sunday is always harder) If you have never ridden this event I think its one of the best - well worth a look if you can get an entry.

Anyone on here ride at Hound Tor at the weekend ? I thought it was a brilliant weekend,perfect on the Yam,really enjoyed it.Maybe a good thing I didnt take the Ariel....

Lordy was it slippy! I thought very well organised and good to be back at Cliviger.

What a good ride out that was. Short lap at Warmden makes for a bit of queuing but doing 100 sections in an afternoon is good for the concentration! Cheers to Darwen for organising and for the observers for sitting in the fog and rain from 2.00 until 7.30!

did anyone do the darwen trial on sunday near padiham ? I need some info about the club, if anyone is a member, thanxs.

Good trial at a new venue today which had a decent size lap. I rode the easy course and found it almost spot on, just the odd 1 or 2 sections that could have been made a bit tougher. The hard route was hard and some of the 50/50 green route sections were on the hardest of the hard course sections! - I heard a few riders moaning followed by the crunch of metal and yelps of pain All in all, a good day out so thanks to all involved

Hi all anyone ride the darwen trial on saturday at fishermans retreat? If so what did you think of the venue ,sections etc

what a cracking trial today at warmden quarry, super sections (technical not dangerous) and good weather for once.A great thank you to all that helped make the first event of the year a cracker,lets hope to see more of the same!!!!!

Another "once a year" venue Yeadon Guiseley will be holding The Dave Curry trial at Cockhill Leadmines, Greenhow on Sunday the 24th September at 11am. The Event is open to members of Yorkshire Centre Clubs. Entry Forms are available on the club website and Entries are open until Saturday the 23rd or on the day for a small extra charge. It's A non stop trials open to all classes and as usual includes a Conducted course for "Small wheels".

Got the riding list through for the Dave Rowland today. 1st time I have ridden it. How does the Clubmen course compare to the Bemrose? Is it harder, easier or about the same? Cheers

I've entered this trial for the first time, it's on the 3rd July. Te regs don't say much except it involves roadwork. Can anyone give me a few pointers as to format (single or multi-lap), severity (the hard course) and type of terrain (I presume mainly limestone rock)? Thanks

It was a great ride around, not what I was expecting, with predominantly streams/gullies. They started out very easy but sure got harder, certainly national standard in places (Hawk's nest I think it's called), but nothing dangerous. Rode like a Muppet, throwing away much good work with a flurry of dabbing to avoid (or succumbing to) a "5" within spitting distance of the ends cards, dropping slack dabs left right and centre, BUT it just shows whata good event it was, as I still really enjoyed it. Man 17 did a great job- nice route guide/programme with section descriptions, loads of course direction markers, 2 (yes 2) separate signs asking you whether you had completed …

Big thank you to all at the Man17 Club for the Trial today and all the helpers/observers Weather was alot better than forecast and only lashed it down briefly mid afternoon, usual great sections all round, lots of streams and rock outcrops, some very,very slippy as well. Nearly a 30 mile loop of 40 sections and plenty of time allowed to get finished, we actually came in 90 mins early for a change Four of us braved the journey up and the weather (ralph,James and Jon) and really enjoyed the day and the Trial, I rode like a cock for some reason? and seemed to go clean on sections the top clubmen riders struggled with, then three'd or fived the easy sections?
