Ladies and Girls :- entries close on Monday 14th May for Round 3 of the British Ladies Trials Championship on the Isle of Wight So Don

Riders wanted for our AMCA South Coast group trial. Open to any rider. No licence required. Three routes with all the usual clases. 12 sections 3 laps set out by Hrc1 and our local 4RT ace - King Clint and all in 70 acres of beautifull Surrey woodland. Unusually, for this series, its pre-entry only. Looks like we missed the deadline for the TMX regs so we've extended the deadline until the 7th May. Our local TV station ran a excellent review of the Isle of Wight two day, and trials in general on Monday 30 April on thier evening programe called Solent tonight, if you go on thier web site www.solent.tv you can watch the video, the review is near the end of the programe. The good news for us is that they want more, so they will be covering our ladies & C/D nationals on 19/20 may.

There is an Evesham MCC, Centre B club trial this Sunday at Saintbury Quarry. Does anyone know if this is the same venue as used by the Stratford Upon Avon Club? Thanks Tone

Reg Treble riding a Yamaha Serrow won Sundays Sphinx LDT held by the Cheltenham Home Guard Club. With a bumper 120 rider entry, Reg held his nerve around the 90 mile, thirty section course to record the only clean sheet of the day. In runner up spot, Regs' team mate Dave Cottle on board a Kawasaki KTX250 lost just one mark in the mud of section three way out at Guiting Ford high on the Cotswold hills. Third place went to Stratford Upon Avon club rider Liam O'Reilly on a borowed Gas Gas Pampera. Best lady in the event was Trudi Silvey also riding a Yamaha Serrow who lost 41 marks. Hi all... didn't want to bother the organiser since he's probably been on the phone all day today! Couldnt download the info I received on email about this trial. Is there anything unusual that I need to know about??...(long loops?..fuel drops?? etc etc.) I'm hoping I'll get away with just finding out when I turn up,. but if theres anything you guys think I need to know beforehand..please let me know Bit late I know, but I've been busy all week...thanks in advance..and see you all tommorow!

Looks like most of the UK trials population are riding in Spain over Easter, were off to the Santagosa 3 day where UK riders include Wiggy, Alan Ayres, James Graham, Tom Sands, Josh Stephens , George Gosden, Chris Stay, while Becky Cook & most the top UK ladies will be in Morella. So who else will be heading south over Easter ?

I hadn't ridden this for a few years and had forgotten how good it can be, particularly when the sun shines at Easter. Using the same venue, and rocks, as last years French world round was a shock for some of the English riders. Later the sections returned to the standard I remember - easier than all the other French trials, which is fine by me on the S3 route. Small things make the days easier - no real time limit, food and fuel supplied and an amostpheric arena style final section that turned out to be one of the trickiest on the top 3 routes too. Just about to make my Summer comeback, so thought I'd check out how my mates have been doing. Looked on the results page and it looks like an I D Parade of the bad boys of trialing. BUt where was the pictures of "Smoking Tim" and "Bing Bong Bingley". And look at all those new bikes......There's been some money spent in the winter.

This coming Sunday ( 1st April ) sees the first round of the STOCKSBRIDGE MOTORCYCLE CLUB( is that better ? )championship at Dean Head farm nr Stocksbridge Sheffield . There are three routes , clubman 50/50 and expert. The show kicks off at 11.00 am . We are hoping for a show of support from ALL local clubs and riders. As an added bonus there is also cash prizes on offer for the championship winners so come on what are you waiting for...... Just a quicky to say a HUGE thanks to all at the Rhayader (hope I spelled that correctly)..club, for putting on a terrific trial today. For me the sections were spot on..(ahem..that still means I dropped plenty of marks!)...what a fantastic venue too...can't wait for the next one. Are the results gonna be online anywhere?...thanks again

Unfortunately I didn't finish this trial as incurred a large slit in the tyre attempting the step at the end of the 1st loop- and tyre came off the rim. Only one person at the whole event had a "beader" as I call them, but then my brother had the dog turds...and Dad was spectating in the car which had our foot pump in.... Anyway, point of the post is to say thanks to Rod Nichols who leant me the beader and helped me try and get back on the road. I'm also trying to trace another rider in a van opposite the back of his, who leant me a foot pump, which unfortunately broke whilst someone was giving it some hammer whilst we tried to get the tyre on the rim. I left a note tuck…

Reeth 3 Day entry forms are now available to download, be quick as it is sure to fill up fast. Anyone who not previously ridden please remember that this is a fairly tough event with three long days of riding. The hard route is aimed at Centre level standard & the easy route at Green route level for RMC club events. To save work for the Secretary please supply individual cheques if possible for every entrant. Everybody please remember this is a ROAD BASED TRIAL, it is up to the every rider to ensure that they are road legal.
