Just wondered who on TC rode it?........I thought they got it spot on considering the conditions (on the yellow route anyway). I saw Woodys OSSA MAR, cracking bike and a great ride to boot, I've been out of the game for 4 years and it was only my second 'comback' trial but I must admit I really enjoyed it.......I missed the bangers and mash at the end though .

Just rode a cracking trial at Dorrington, organised by the South Shropshire club...thanks to them all The main reason for this post, is to let anyone else know, (that just rode it)..that apparently the results will be on the Briedden Hills club website tonight!!!..now thats what I call fast

  4. Started by scorpa3,

There are 70 entries for the latest round of the Midland Centre Group trial championship held by the South Shropshire club on SUnday. I was wondering if anyone had ridden at the venue before and if so what is it like? I am very late in the starting order - each club has to take their turn at being last and it's ours this week.

Southern Experts Trial was an absolute cracker today with classic mud'n'roots sections. 15 sections. 3 laps. 5 hour time limit. Provisional results showed overall winner was Ross Danby (44m.l.), with Alexz Wigg second (about 53 m.l. ). Sam Haslam (I think) third with Sam Connor and western centre's own Simon Welch tied for fourth on 67 m.l. (before tie breaker had been used). Clubman Expert route was won by Ben Bramwell. He had a fantastic ride on lap 1 but was slowly but surely being reeled in by mud-meister Dave Clinkard as lap three finished. Margin between them was only 7 marks at the end. Schoolboy's class saw Keelin Hankin beat Leo Rochfort. Some thought the tri…

Big thanks and full marks for the hardy team from Spen Valley who braved harsh weather up at Harden Moor and pegged out the first Championship Trial of 2011. The severity of the sections across the new formatt of 3 routes was as far as I could see SPOT ON. I would encourage anyone to come along and try the new Spen Valley formula. Pity about the weather though blew a howler with horizontal rain - so big thanks to all those brave and wet observers too. If this is repeated in future events then the future is looking good ! Cheers Giles.

Just a quick Massive thanks to the club for putting todays trial on. Even though the ground was extremely Hard and Icey, and heavy snow, It was a fantastic trial. And very much enjoyed. Also a massive thanks to the Observers for braving the snow and cold. Cheers Chris Bancroft

  12. I've been told (not had chance to confirm this) the stated start time in the TMX for the Spen Valley Evening trial this Saturday at Cliffe Lane is 1pm. This incorrect. The correct start time is 5:30 pm.

  14. Appologies for the short notice, the 7th Club Championship Trial has been moved from Sunday 11th September 2011 to Sunday 18th September 2011. This is due to the Huddersfield Falcons Club are having a Charity Trial on the same day not too far away and asked the Spen Club if we could rearrange dates. The venue and start time remain the same.

  15. Hi Folks, Just to let you all know the Novice & Beginners series of trials at the Spen Valley club have changed this year. There will be a 50/50 route available to help us cater for a wider range of riding ability(see below). Also just for the Novice and Beginners Series a new marking out team will setting out the courses and it is the intention that the trials are to be more friendly to the beginner and younger riders. the novice/hard route will set out to cater for the novice clubman rider. Inters, experts and top novices that ride the hard route at centre trials will not be finding the route in anyway a challenge. the 50/50 route is hoped it will help novices th…

Hi Folks, Sorry about the short notice but we only found out Thursday night. The Spen Valley Novice and Beginners Trial this Sunday 17th May has had to be been moved from Dean Head, Scammonden to the Brown Cow Venue, Scammonden. There is another event on next to the Dean Head venue and parking there will be a problem. Check the Spen Valley web site for directions, and for those that have been to the Dean Head venue, the Brown Cow venue is opposite the road leading down to the Dean Head venue (Church Lane) and access to the venue is by turning off the main road through the farmers gate (look for the flags). IMPORTANT: PLEASE CLOSE THE GATE AFTER ENTERING THE FIELD AS T…
