Hi, I'm gonna try and get there. I knew nothing really about this until I just started digging .... 80 miles, 76 sections, 2.5hours ..... good grief !!!! Can anyone tell me exactly where it starts/finishes and where the best subs are for spectators ..... we really can't cover it ALL. Any info/help greatly appreciated.

We only use punch cards for British Championship rounds the rest of the time it's done on Observer boards. The sheets used vary from event to event & we always use a waterproof paper.

Does anyone happen to know if the forest trophy trial is on this year? It's usually in may, I rode it last year and enjoyed it, can't see anything about 2010 on the trialspace web site though.

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice on getting into trials really. bought my first trials bike a couple of weeks back, a 2002(i think) sherco 250. Been out a couple of times so far and having a lot of fun, Ive always had bikes (rode mx and did my bike license at 17) but the trials is definitely a new style of riding ive not experienced before! lots of technique involved... I live in gloucester and was wondering what clubs were about, how the licensing works (acu amca etc), how to get involved in doing some trials events and also where can you find fixtures for the events? Any input appreciated and heres a pic of the bike!

Hi everyone im from dewsbury west yorkshire and was wondering if anyone is a member af a trails club in or around the same area ? Ive had my bike (gasgas txt 280) around six months now and im now interested in joining a club and maybe getting into doing a few proper trials insted of just going around the woods and old quarrys in my area. Any info about clubs or places to ride would be much appreciated ive looked around on the net but not come up with much at all. I need answers and info like do i have to be legal on the bike to be a member of a club (ive got no bike license and it isnt road legal) and do i need to be a certain standard on the bike as im not very good …

I know this has been asked before but has anybody got any recommendations for good/cheap insurance companies in the UK? My insurance lapsed last year and I forgot to renew it I got the paperwork through for my bike this morning and it states 'Rev-3 Four Stroke' so hopefully it's listed as an existing bike on their manufacturers database...

OK - Just to humour me - and get away from ACU matters etc I pose the following question to you all in this season of merriment and good will. For the average - Clubman rider - of limited ability - which s/hand trials machine - circa 2000 - 2005 woukld you say is the easiest to ride in a muddy, cambered type sections? Let us presume it is fitted with a Michelin - and is a 250/280 and in good order. I refer to sections with slippery short climbs ( not balls out climbs) - where grip is always at a premium and skill is at a minimum. Which 2 stroke machine would you choose? - all otherb criteria not important.

We have hosted two Championship events with different venues. "the Mound" big steps etc., Sections at The Ice Factor a more traditional type of trial. We would like some feedback from competitors/spectators for the venue of this years trial. Arthur
