Looking forward to a great weekend coming as a great reunion will be happening between myself and some longitme friends. First off, heading to some chaps place, some might know him as Ishy or rtclick, whatever that is supposed to mean . Then on to the local trials dealer for a visit. Then onto the trials site at the base of Mt.Hood Oregon, which I haven't visited since riding a National there in84! In attendance will be COTA regulars such as Ishy, Dennis Sweeten, Jay Lael, Jay Terry. Out of towner list uncludes myself and my son, former SWM and Fantic sponsored rider Dave Pyle. The there will be other locals who haven't been to a trial in many years, former Fantic dealer…

Hello fellow trials enthusiasts, I have created a web map in which you can place a point for where you live, as well as good places to ride. My hope is that people will be able to use this to network and make new riding friends and ride new areas. Click the details tab in the link below for more information. This link takes you to the mapping app: http://ps-dbs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/OnePane/basicviewer/index.html?appid=350418affc254bcabbf70d80863896ef Thanks and let’s ride! -Todd

It sure seemed that things were kind of boring around here these days, so I came up with an idea for us all to share a bit about our riding backgrounds and what brought us to this crazy sport here in 2008. I have been in many different modes over the decades, starting in 1969 with my Suzuki 90 - started competing in trials and enduro in 73 (Montesa) went to MX in 77(Montesa) then a long break from 79- 92. Back into Enduro and HS and Trials since then. Still ride street a little, but currently active in HS, Enduro, Trials and Vintage with too many bikes in the garage for my wife to understand. Rarely stuck with a single series for championship points- always tried to ride…

Hello. I'm looking at possibly spending winters in southern Arizona and would like to find out if there are specific area;s that are more trials focused. The plan would be to rent in an RV park and hopefully be able to ride near by. Thanks for any input.

A friend called me to tell me about this free video game. I checked it out. I am not really into video games, but this seemed like fun- I even tried it a few times. It's really trials bikes on a video game. I never saw that before. Better yet it's free! Have fun...Let us all know if you can master it! http://www.addictinggames.com/stuntdirtbike.html

Hey Folks So it looks like my work will be sending me over to the US for a bit under 1 year as project manager, and I'd really like to see if I can't make the most of that time and try out the trials scene while over there. I'm currently living here in France and riding in Senion 3 class, with an Ossa 300i and a Gasgas 125TXT. Where I live now I'm less than 5min from the local terrain, so get to ride several times a week. I'll be in the Ohio region for the duration of my time there. My thoughts are to try and buy a cheap bike and hook up with a local club.. So my 2 questions are- Whats the scene like ? can anyone point me in the direction of a local cl…

Over the years I've attended several trials schools, lasting up to two days. My instructors have included Tommy Ahvala, Ray Peters, Ryan Young, Curt Comer, just to name a few. I still can't ride evry well, but that's another post. Here's my topic for discussion: Who do you think is the best trials riding teacher? Obviously, everyone learns differently, but, who helped you the most among those who have held schools? My nod goes to Ryan Young. I felt he was superb in translating, what he does so effortlessly, into words and actions that I could relate to.

Anyone in the US/Can know of any trials sidecars available? I have been riding my Fantic 200 Sidecar in the FIM/NAMU events the last few years and have got a lot of people asking where they can get chairs to put on bikes they have lying around! I know of one in Rhode Island, but would like to find others so I can point these potential riders at sources so they don't have to build one from scratch Bob Manifold

Just a reminder that the “Trials Training Days” is coming up March 27-28 at TTC. The deadline for pre-registration is MARCH 15. If you’re planning on attending, go to and fill out the on-line registration form and follow the submission directions. It should be a great weekend of “Round Robin” type training clinics taught by the majority of the U.S. PRO Riders. A BBQ Dinner is being provided for everyone on Saturday evening. We’re also hosting a USA Trials des Nations fundraiser on Monday, March 29. It will be a PRO/AM Team Trial using the “Gatetrial” scoring method, with all proceeds going to the TDN team. We’ve done this during Trials Bike Week before and it is …
