Just a note to let everyone know that if you DO connect the two carb overflows with a loop of tubing (connect them together) you may experience difficulty starting your bike. No more dribbling carb, but it won't start unless you kick the #$!% out of it. The remedy is to cut a 'V' shaped slot (or drill a couple of holes) in the tubing at the top of the loop to vent to atmosphere. Starting problems gone, dribbling carb - gone.

I was wondering if it was possible to put wavy discs on a 1994 beta techno. I was also thinking that are wavy discs just for looks or do they have an advantage. Thanks.

I bought my Beta in March last year. At this time there was no leaking from the fork seals. Then about 3 months ago the seals went. I changed them and by the end of the following trial they were leaking again. I changed thems 5 or 6 times since, the last set were put in last week and lo and behold they started leaking on Sunday (When the new seals were replaced the oil was surprising dirty for being only a week old). We have been through the usual symptoms, checking the volume of oil in the fork's, we were advised by a reliable source to put 180ml in each leg which is a lot less than recommended but enough to cover the mechanical parts, so its ruled out overfilling them. …

Hi All, just got an 09 Beta 250cc Evo and need a bit of info please? Is it best to use Normal or Super unleaded? (I think previous owner used normal) Is Castrol TTS the best oil to premix with? What spark plug is best for North West England running? Should I fit an after market air filter or leave the factory one in? Bike revs too high when on choke, but OK on tick-over? Can I adjust this, or should I just pull the choke lever up less than normal (full)? What way should the mapping switch be? Not sure what switching actually does? Thanks in advance.

I have just purchased a new 2011 Evo 125 for my 12 year old. I have been told by another dad that a good mod for the 2011 bike is to fit a 2010 fly wheel as it,s heavier an so gives the bike a bit more torque. Has any one done this mod? if so is it a straight swap or do you need to modify any thing. Paul

The kickstand on my wife's 250 4T has been an issue since day one. The thing keeps bending outward and the bike leans over way too far. I have been bending it straight with foot every second trip so I knew metal fatigue is happening every time I do it. I finally got around to pulling it off for inspection and discovered a small crack (from bending back) see pic 1)) so decided to do a repair that may hold for some time or possibly forever. Be warned... it added 60 grams or so in bracket and weld. Pic 2 is inside weld of fabricated new piece to original stand area Pic 3 is outside weld of fabricated new piece to original stand area. Pic 4 is all cleaned up and painted…

Reet, you're all gonna be fed up of me 'cos I've just bought a Rev-3 and as any regulars of the GasGas forum will tell you, I ask some dumb-ass questions. It's an extremely clean, little-used 2003 270 - so little used in fact that the engine's still slightly "tight" and it's closest that I'm going to get to a new bike in the forseeable future so I'm as happy as <insert reference to something very happy>. I'd like to get hold of a manual, if such a thing exists. Not because the bike needs any work at the moment but I always like to know the factory-recommended amount of gearbox oil, fork oil, premix ratios and the like. Does such a thing exist in downloadable form…

Hello, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could suggest any tips or tricks on how to replace or repair my rear mudguard for an 03 beta. As you may know they can cost a bomb to get a second hand one and my mudguard has a 20cm crack through it and the plastic wrapping that is on it is starting to peel off it. Any suggestions about how to repair it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
