Hi chaps, I've just bought a cheap beta techno 250. The first issue I need help with is the oil like substance leaking from where the rear silencer joins the centre section. Do I need to do rings or something else. The other issue is that the cooling fan is missing. Is it necessary or can I do without it for now. Thanks in advance Carl

Just a heads-up if anyone is considering purchasing any carbon fibre guards . I can recommend KELLEY CARBON . Just fitted full frame , swingarm , forks , expansion chamber , silencer and clutch / water pump guards to our Beta 80 . All hand made in the UK , not cheap ABS plastic .

Hi all, I've got a 2010 2 stroke Beta Evo 290 and it's having electrical problems. The bike starts easily and runs smoothly but it's got no light and the fan doesn't work. I bypassed the thermostat but it still won't turn. Thus plus the fact that the lights won't work makes me think that the rectifier (?) is damaged. I've been looking for information if there is a way to measure any values in or out of the rectifier without success. Any ideas about: a-) Am i correct thinking that the problem is with the rectifier? b-) Any way to find out if the rectfier is damaged? c-) Could it be something else? Any hints/ideas of what to verify? TIA

On my '13 Evo 300, the clutch pack was set up with reversible spring tophats that let you lighten the clutch pull. Can anyone confirm one way or the other if the 250 has the same setup?

  9. Morning all, This weekend I have changed my front and rear springs to the heavy option from Saunders, the bike now sits a lot better. I did notice though that the rebound on the rear is very very quick, iv turned the screw all the way out and all the way in and seems to be making no difference. Can somebody shed some light on a shock rebuild as I pressure that's what it needs. Thanks again

  12. Beta 2018 250 factory. My son fell off it was revving madly but he had landed on kill switch so couldn't cut off straight away. We let bike cool kickstart was free so not seized. I removed kill switch at connector ant there appears to be a spark. It does eventually start on choke and run normal but wont keep running. I was wondering if carb is blocked with all the vibrations of high revs or he may have knocked something electric wise. I haven't checked woodruff key as only have a puller for rev3 not evo. Any help appreciated

has anyone had any problems with the clutch slipping on the 50 minitrial thanks

  14. Hi, only had the bike a few weeks was out riding and clutch stopped working... got home to find the master cylinder empty which now I know why the clutch lever was always wet. It was coming out the piston every time you pulled the lever, bought new seal kit spent hours trying to bleed and noticed oil dripping from the piston again so ended up banging new master cylinder on, seems to bleed up quick but it’s got clutch drag and can’t move out of first gear when the bikes on the floor ??‍♂️ I’ve tried reverse bleeding etc and can hear clutch plates moving when pulling in the lever, is this still trapped air or do I need to look elsewhere?

Hi I’ve recently had a 2020 Evo Factory 4T and I’m looking to get some fork guards. Can anyone recommend a guard make and can someone tell me what make are the actual forks -Tech,Paioli ?I have paioli guards on another older Beta but they offer no protection to the spindle clamp part of leg on new Evo 4T. One other thing does anyone know of a company that can do Graphics for this bike rather than buying genuine. Many Thanks John.

  17. Identify this aftermarket Hydraulic Clutch fitted to my Beta Zero ? Any guidance here appreciated I know literally nothing about 1990 vintage Trials Bikes I purchased what I believe to be a 1992 Beta Zero But it has this Hydraulic Clutch set up ? I have a number of questions like how do you bleed it ? It does not seem to have a bleed valve but I am sure I can research that if I first know what it is. I am sure this bike came with a Cable Clutch

Stuck them in today, wow what a difference smoothed out the throttle really well. Not had a chance to give them a good test yet, but keeping my fingers crossed it will make a big difference for the better. Most difficult part of fitting them wasnt removing the reed block, carb, exhaust and moving clutch cable!!!! getting them out of the packaging without bending the buggers took nearly as long is there a trick to it? the vacuum packaging was a pain.
