When I started out all ACU licenses were done on the same form and up until quite recently this was still the case. Now the trials registration has been separated completely from the rest of the form. So my question is do I need both? When it was all on the one form you applied and paid for the highest level/most expensive license and that granted you any open licenses of a lower level. I have a road race national/international B that allowed me to get a motorcross novice, grass track etc and a trials license. Does the old system still apply? Would my road race license cover me for trials or do I have to buy a trials registration separately? If I have to do them separ…

hi, Completely new to trials and yet to join a club but id like to know if I can join more than one club? Im based in the UK and in Cumbria there is more than one club and id like to enter competitions in various clubs but the ACU membership asks for 'club riding for' , so do I have to a main club and then have others as secondaries or can I just do as I please and join them all and leave this blank? many thanks. I noticed when reading the minutes of an ACU board meeting that an official preparing an Enduro in the Langdale forest received a "Section 59" Notice. Now they were there operating under an ACU licence which I presume means they were also there with the Co-Operation of the land owners. the Incident is discribed thus. Langdale Forest Incident Mr Willoughby had reported on a recent incident that had taken place regarding a Work Party of six riders on bikes in the Langdale Forest preparing a course for an Enduro event. Hello, I'm looking into holding a three round championship which would have enduro bikes and trials riders riding in this competition together. The event will be speed related, with sections (riders will be able to walk the sections) and riders will be timed to see who is quickest to finish. The sections will be marked as per the trials marking system (TSR) with a slight difference. For example if a rider were to put his/her foot down in a trial once then this would normally be a one mark loss, the difference is instead of a one mark loss like in a trial the one foot down in this competition would result a one minute time penalty added to there overall finishing time. hey folks, Gunna be joining in at my first trial on sunday, I have downloaded and printed entry forms but not sure how to make the payment, Can i send a cheque and who do i make it payable to?? Also, How do i know what route and class to choose if i have never done a trial, Im thinking intermediate because i have been told novice is too easy! Is this tru?

I've checked the ACU site and I've probably missed it completely but does anyone know how to report an injury during a trial? Do I just inform the club that its actually worse than it appeared at the trial or contact the ACU direct? Cheers

In view of the attached link Here. What amount of funding does the ACU or indeed the sport of trials recieve from the National Lottery, or is the funding only intended for naughty people?

Just thought I'd bring this up here as I have never seen this happen before. The Second round of the A & B Nationals was held at Bracken Rocks under the Mansfield Maun club a couple of weeks ago. It seems that EMRA are intending to use Bracken for the fourth round in May. I haven't seen this before and wondered why it was happening??

This weekend - 17/7/11 - only 6 riders on the Championship course, 8 on the Expert course and 39 starters on the Clubman (Exp B ) course. . Is it about time the championship was put back on to a National courses? 1 lap x 40+ sections. No practice lap. No Minders. Only one chance to ride the section. What do you think? Would your Club be prepared to run a British Solo Championship within your National? If so go to your Centre meetings and get a proposal to the Trials & Enduro Committee. Forget about the Youth class they have their own Championship.

I couldn't make it to the first training course in November due to work, and admittedly I've had to leave it late to apply for the January course due to my wife's work (nurse shift patterns etc). I sent the application in a bit before xmas, but its full up (Saturday 13th January). Does anybody know of anyone who's not able to attend? Dear john. (sounds ominous) I feel i may have found what could be a problem with our governing body, are you loosing touch with the ordinary motorcycle enthusiast???? I'm posting here because I assume they are published by the ACU. I thought that when you received your ACU license that they also sent the little booklet with the calendar of events in your centre. Apparently not, so my question is where do I get one? I don't want to be critical here because I really appreciate all the work that the local clubs and organisers do, but planning ahead for trials can be so difficult (I know I'm not the only one who has a busy schedule). Usually clubs post their trials on the TC calendar which is great, but sometimes it's only a week before hand. Some clubs have websites and are kept up to date, some are not, some clubs only seem to post …

Are headsets allowed in the BTC?

Given the announcement last week that it is likely legislation will require new road bikes to have either linked or anti-lock braking, depending on engine size, from 2016 can the ACU say whether the FIM intends to lobby on this to get exemption for trials bikes or will we effectively see the end of modern trials using the road, few though they may be? Or will the SSDT perforce become "classic watercooled".

Not wanting to steal anybodies thunder but this Saturday is the British Championship organisers/riders etc forum in rugby to discuss this years championship and review last years. Having attended last year I found this an informative day with sensible discussion. I guess riders and importers have been contacted and views requested but as C of C for one of the rounds was wondering if anybody had any burning issue that they feel we as organisers should look to address in 2008 (trying to avoid the what rules debate etc).
