I bought a used Oset at the weekend for my son. Its a 12.5 model. I put it on charge and let him have a bit of a go out the front of our house as its very quiet. After a few minutes the bike would barely pull him up a small hill in the road. I put it on charge when we got in and it was on for about 8 hours but the red LED on the charger never turned green to say it was fully charged. I took it off charge and lifted the back wheel whilst I turned the throttle. I held it for about 30 seconds and you could hear the wheel gradually turning slower. The following day I left it on charge over night and still no green light. Do you recon the battery needs replacing? When I lifte…

I know its been asked a few times before but can anyone let me know which make and model grips that have the smallest grip cos my little boy has tiny hands that will directly replace the original ones. Many thanks in advance

Hi all. I have just bought 2 sets of soft Renthall grips, 1 for the 12.5 and 1 for the 16. As a relative novice to this, what is the best way of removing the old standard grips? The main one that I am confused about is the throttle grip. Many thanks

hi guys , anyone who has any experience of oset electric trials bikes please let me know or point me in the direction of finding out. i am debating getting a 12.5 for my 3yr old son, i guess its a toss up between oset 12.5 or crf50(which will last forever etc but maybe better to start on oset , less intimidating and safer ) what do you's think?? thanks

As title reads are there any differances between the 2010 and 2011 oset 12.5 model and if so what are they?? Cheers

As said in previous post just got little boy brand new 12.5, came in box and just had to attatch handlebars and adjust brakes, the question I have is the chain seems quite tight as the bike doesnt free wheel without some resistance from the chain, its not been used yet as its for xmas its just sat in bedroom, just seems strange when i push it to move it forwards or backwards almost feels bit knotchy. is this normal when new?

Location: Addingham Moorside, Off Brown Back Lane, BD20 0NL. The trial starts at 10.30 am, entries available on the day.

The Stratford-Upon-Avon MCC are running a club trial at Hancocks Wood near Broadway on Sunday 17th October with a seperate conducted route specifically aimed at riders with class E licences on Oset electric trials bikes. The normal club trial will include three routes plus the additional two routes for small wheel machines at the top of the wood near to the car park area. The Easy conducted route will be suitable for youngsters aged 4 to 6 years old with the Hard conducted route suitable for more experienced riders on machines such as TY80's. Hi guys, I will ask the question on this thread as it to do with electric bikes, and the question is what is a 25Kw motor bike ? my friend is filling in a license application form to obtain a motor bike license in which one of the tick boxes reads are you applying for a provisional license to ride up to a 25Kw bike he asked me how big is that, but I don't have a clue, does anybody have any pointers on this.

hello everyone , I just received a 12.5 oset from a freind and it is in poor condition. many of the wires are cut or missing and didnt receive an owners manual. can someone post a schematic and a manual for me ? THANKS

The Yeadon Guiseley club will for the first time be setting out a seperate E class route, along side their usual conducted course at Addingham Moorside tomorrow. The route will be suitable for both 12.5" & 16" bikes. More confident E class riders can still follow the normal small wheels course. The conducted trial starts at 2pm.

I read this the other day. It has some interesting info about available upgrades that can be made to the bikes on Page 5. 2 days later my lad decided to ride off the edge of a large hump, coming down the steap side rather than the gentle slope he had ridden up. Despite me shouting BRAKES he went into a stone wall and managed to shorten the wheelbase by about an inch - oops! Fortunately no damage to son or bike apart from the forks. Hi all. Another question............. As I have both the 16 36v and the 12.5 (both 2010 models), can anyone suggest a battery that will increase the running time on the 12.5. Do I need to look for a larger amp hours battery? The 12.5 appears to lose power after about 1hr of on/off running, but still work (albeit slowly) the 16 on the other hand is still rocketing off. Also another quick question. Will the 600w motor from the 16 fit the 12.5 (with a change of batteries)? Sorry for these questions, but the smaller of the 2 children gets a bit frustrated at his brother roaring (albeit silently) off into the distance. Many thanks Andy

Please excuse my english - I am from Austria. Since yesterday my 6 year old son is the proud owner of a OSET 16.0. But I am a bit confused about the charging instructions. Our 2007 OSET 16 24V has seen a bit of use now and has had a few electrical component issues along the way, but has been quite sturdy mechanically until the drive pin for the motor sprocket sheared recently. My 21kg son was riding in a manner I consider quite normal at the time, practicing crossing timber railway sleepers on a gentle uphill slope. I know it is quite a simple job to replace the drive pin, but am wondering if it is a common failure or not, to help me decide whether I should use a different type of drive pin or the same again. The drive pin that it came with from new is a 3mm diameter steel roll pin.

Has anyone gone from 24v to 36v ? My son is 8 and has been riding his 16.0 24v for more then 2 years. He rides well but finds it hard to lift the front wheel. Does the 36v. have much more torque making it easier to lift the front wheel ? Thanks.

I've been told today by Nige at TrialsUK, that Horsforth Club will be running a separate E class course at their Youth national on 18th September at Home Farm, Bradford, (if there's enough interest). newbie stampedes in where the wise fear to tread - but hoping for more ideas in this forum - here are my tips: 1. my 3.5 year old's hands were simply not big or strong enough to pull the brakes. 2 things changed this: i) i removed the spring at the bottom of the back brake ii) i adjusted the the little alan screws in each lever to bring the levers well within his reach. now he can use both brakes with relative ease, even if he won't be pulling stoppies any time soon. 2. i accidentally knocked the cover off the little rheostat, next to the key slot. This allows me to dial in different speeds without using a screw driver, by simply turning the dial with my finger. I…
